Over charged. I was quoted $75. for backflow inspection.Next about 3 small rubber gaskets were needed, and he rinsed out 1 fitting. I asked cost and was quoted $180. Total bill over$400. If flat rate included his story of how he beat our emigration system by marrying American girl friend and local restaurant reviews I was not informed. Can not recommend.

This one-star review comes as a surprise to me. I apologize for any misunderstanding. The price quoted for a backflow test covers just that, the backflow test. In this situation, upon arrival the test c**** were leaking and the backflow was untestable without installing three new test c**** The customer agreed to the additional charge to make the backflow testable. After the test c**** were installed the test was executed: Check valve 1 passed. Check valve 2 failed. To save costs, multiple attempts were made to salvage the existing gasket and seat. With each attempt the backflow was tested again (free of charge) and it failed. The customer was alerted that there would be an additional charge to install a new seat and gasket. A final test was run, which passed. The customer and spouse were pleased with the work, expressed satisfaction, and signed the invoice. I have Flat Rate Plumbing for all my plumbing needs. They have been very timely in fixing my plumbing issues. When I had a leak under my sink they were out the next day to address the issue. Their rates have been very reasonable. I would not use any other plumbing company. What I like best about them is that I know the cost will not go up based on the time they are their. It makes it much easier to budget for the repair. I would highly recommend Flat Rate Plumbing and have referred them to many of my customers.Flat Rate Plumbing, Inc.

I've used Flat Rate Plumbing for all of my plumbing needs and wouldn't call anyone else. They are professional, timely and reasonable. Most recently my water heater went down, now days this is a catastrophe, no one likes cold showers :). Called Flat Rate Plumbing they were out within a few hours, very knowledgeable and had us up and running with nice HOT water in no time. Buyers remorse. I have trusted and been using this company since 2017. He also has an A+ score with the BBB? I had a toilet leak and needed a new wax ring (bolts and water supply) as well as a new flapper in another bathroom. I had company in town and he was on vacation but since I trusted this person I decided to wait. He was here for just under an hour. I expected to pay a couple hundred dollars and did not call around for quotes as I trusted this person. I was shocked to have been given an invoice for $510.00 Afterwards, I researched prices on the internet and called and spoke to 3 other local companies and was told that it should have cost me around $200.00 or so. I am now looking for a new company in the future. Very disappointed :(Flat Rate Plumbing, Inc.

I am sorry you are not satisfied with our prices. For the mentioned price we reset your toilet with two wax rings and a new water supply, unjammed your garbage disposal, greased your faucet and installed a new flapper in the master toilet. We do not charge by the hour, we have flat rate pricing. My research of competitors pricing for this job found our prices in a comparable range. One competitor gave me the price of $420 just to reset the toilet.L. S.

I could have unjammed the garbage disposal and greased the faucet which both took up all but 5 min. total. I just did not think you would add that to your rate since you were here. As for the new flapper in the master toilet, it did not fix the problem as the toilet is still running water intermittently. You were here 50 minutes. I expected to pay a few hundred (as quoted by other companies I called), but not double. I don't know who the competitor is that you called but I called 3 of them and was told it would have only cost $200-$250.00 tops. Was just very shocked at the price. I didn't mention this at the time due to you stating you gave me a "deal" as others would have charged more. I'm sorry, I just can't afford your prices an longer.L. S.

I'm sorry to hear that your flapper is not working. I wish you had called and let us know. We would like to come check the toilet that you mentioned was running intermittently. I will be calling you to set up an appointment. There will be no charge for this service since the problem was not resolved the first time.
