I contacted Sarasota Wheel Repairs by Scottis Wheel Works to repair a small dent in my rim via email. Shortly after, I got a text message from *****, the owner or worker stating this can be repaired and to bring the wheel to the shop. I sent a video of the damage and was quoted $200 for repair and paint. I dropped off the wheel to Sarasota Wheel Repairs by Scottis Wheel Works located at ******************************************* on 8/5/24 @ 8 am. At 9 am, I got a call that the repair was done, which didnt sound right for a wheel repair. I asked for a photo of the wheel and I could tell it was not repaired well when seeing the photo. Upon arriving to the Wheel repair shop, the worker ***** told me to pay him $200 right away. I requested to see the wheel and he took me to the back of the shop and the wheel was outside sitting wet after he claimed to have just freshly painted it. As soon as i took a closer look, i could tell that the repair was done incorrectly and the paint did not even match the color of the rest of the wheel. As soon as i told ***** that the repair is done incorrectly and it looks like there is body filler on the rim, he proceeded to use foul language and threatening me if i dont pay him and then threw my rim on the ground and started to close the shop unless i pay him. He continued to use foul language and threaten me until i paid. To avoid further confrontation or escalation, i paid him just to leave. I would like a refund of my $200 and further resolution to this issue. This shop seems to scam people and get away with it after threatening them.
