On Oct 10th I reached out to ***** with ** *** Trees to provide an estimate to remove a large tree from our backyard and large branch from our front. Both of which had fallen due to Hurricane ******. I actually found this accredited business on the BBB website. On Oct 11th ***** came out and provided an estimate of $5k to remove the entire tree in our backyard (minus the *****), branch in our front yard, and haul and pile all tree debris in our front yard. On Oct 14th they removed part of the tree in the back and the large branch in our front yard. They were not able to remove the entire tree in the backyard due to a trampoline that had been secured to and then crushed by the tree. We had mentioned that it was fine to move any damaged pieces necessary in order to complete the job. ***** asked us to come that day with $5k in cash so she could pay her workers. She did not have the cash available since banks were closed for the holiday. We paid by check. After we provided the check, ***** called and admitted she did not bring enough men or necessary equipment to be able to complete the job that day, but they would be back later that same week to finish. They left roughly 6ft of tree trunk and large branches in the back yard. We also would separately schedule the ***** grinding which ***** provided an estimate of $100-$200. After Oct 14th I called and texted with very little response. On Oct 31st ***** said she considered the job done and would have never quoted $200 for such a large ***** but she would have quoted a couple hundred. She then quoted $300-$400. This would include removing the tree trunk they had left. Finally, her employee came out on Nov. 3rd to remove the tree trunk. But he had been informed by ***** that it was a ***** and did not bring the proper equipment. He was shocked and confused why so much trunk had been left. His chainsaw was in the shop, and he would come back next week to remove it. Since then, ***** has not responded to any call or text.
