College Hunks moved me from ******* to *******. I paid almost $4000, and I got additional insurance. In the process, they lost and damaged items. I was promised restitution, which did not cover what I lost, and even that never arrived. All l have received is unfulfilled promises. It has been four months since the move, and *****, who claimed to be a manager, promised he would address me. He did not. ******, the claims manager, has also not responded to my complaint.

We appreciate the opportunity to respond to the concerns raised by Ms. ****** regarding the interstate move performed on July 31, 2024. We take all customer concerns seriously and aim to address them promptly and in accordance with the terms of our agreements.

Following the completion of Ms. ******* move, she informed us of damage to an item. In response, we contacted Ms. ****** and provided a resolution consistent with the signed contract. As part of the resolution process, we sent a form requiring her signature to finalize the resolution.

Despite our  attempts to resolve the matter, Ms. ****** has not returned the signed form. This form is a necessary step for us to process the agreed resolution. Unfortunately, without the signed document, we are unable to proceed further.

We remain committed to resolving this matter. Should Ms. ****** provide the signed form, we are prepared to promptly issue the compensation as previously agreed.
We value Ms. ******* business and regret any inconvenience caused.

This moving company has failed to resolve all the issues with delivery. 1. They did not deduct the fee I paid up front. 2. They charged me for work not done. They said they were only charging an hourly rate and this is not true. They claimed they boxed stuff. 3. They were only there for 8 hours not the amount said on the bill. 4. They lost 4 boxes and also broke several items. I should be credited back for $487.99

At College HUNKS you are only billed for the time we are onsite for your move.  Your prepayment was applied to your final bill, you were only charged for the time we were onsite working on your move as is documented in your signed contract.   As was discussed during your move, you were moving from a storage unit and some items required boxing to be transported.   Your statement about lost boxes is completely inaccurate, as you were there for the duration of the move, nothing was lost or broken at the time of completion.  We made several attempts to reach you after your move, and you never responded to any of our calls.

I was quote $1500-$1700 on 4/11/24 for a move on 5/08/24. I went over all the items with 3 different customer service representatives including the fact that I was going to be having an 8 hour chemo treatment the same day of the move and it would be only my wife to over seeing the move. After playing phone tag, they finally got a hold of me the day before the move to tell me the cost is going from $1700 to $2100 after going over what was going to be moved for the 4th time. He said that they were unaware that I had beds that need to be taken apart and put back together and that I would need a 4th worker. Please keep in mind I have gone over the same list of items including having 4 beds and 2 tables to be taken apart and re-assembled at the new home. It was the day before I had to be out of the home I was selling and had no time to find another company, with my cancer condition was not in the condition to do it myself. Also we were moving less than 10 miles to the other side of ******. So when the move came I was at the *********** having 8 hours of chemo. As I arrived they were unloaded which was about 5:30pm. As they finished unloading the truck they said they had to call the boss for finally price. The man from Daytona depo told me that by having the 4th work might help get a bit closer to the original quote of $1700 very upset that it jumped to $2100 and then again to almost $2900 at the end. I told the worker Im not signing anything till I speak with his supervisor. He called and got him on the phone he started the conversation with telling me to not interrupt him, that he wants to address the elephant in the room. He proceeded to tell me off and said that I had way more items that wasnt disclosed like all the boxes I had. And he said he sent a worker to the house to take a physical inventory of all my items prior to the move which never happened. He said a lot of my belongs were added after the so called physical intentory at my home. Mind you no one ever came out to my house, in fact when they called to schedule someone to come to my house they said over the phone that they can just do the inventory over the phone in stead. Plus they had to box up and move 4 TVs. Another lie. The day before I have my kids move all the TVs. All he did after giving me an opportunity to express my issues. A $300 discount was all that was offered. Still $800+ over quote. Unexceptable and I paid only because I was so tired and felt so sick from the treatment I had earlier in the day, stressed out, just want it to be over. I still tipped $30 each b/c I felt it wasnt their fault. They left. My wife and I went to the old home that night because we hire cleaners to clean the house. I found tons of belonging in every single room plus, my shed looked untouched except for my tool box, my complete patio set was left behind and front porch wicker set all left behind. Picture this: Your loved one with 3rd stage lung cancer walking with a cane just out of chemo treatment having no option but to load up his truck and trailer, wifes car and daughter car, ask her boyfriend to bring his truck to move items till 1am in the morning, then having to come back early in the next morning to get the rest and embarrassed to call his realtor to come and help with his truck to get even more loads of items. During all the stress and frustration and mad at what just happened I found my 3 month old dryer was crushed on the top. I called customer service that evening on the 9th to complain what just happened to me. I cant believe anyone in condition would have been treated in such a way. It wasnt till May 17 that I got a call from a woman named ******. She called me saying there wasnt anything that could be done on their end. I frankly had more items then they expected. Mind you I do take some responsibility in that. But it was about twice the number of boxes and only boxes. I had closer to 90 boxes not the ***** I thought I would have.

***********, there are numerous false statements in your complaint.   We provided an onsite estimate for your move, at which time you were advised of our company policies and procedures to best complete your move.   After you were provided the onsite estimate, you called into our call center and provided inaccurate inventory to receive a lower estimated cost.   You were advised prior to your move the call center quote was inaccurate based upon the information obtained during your onsite estimate.   You were provided with the option to stay with in the time quoted from the call center, or more forward with the onsite estimate.  The onsite estimate was based on your move being "move ready" and all applicable items boxed and ready to be moved.   You personally were not onsite during the move, as we were working with your wife.   She was advised on numerous occasions of the unboxed items, items that were not ready to be moved, and additional items added above what was shown during the onsite estimate.   We provided the option to stay with in the estimated time and only move those items as was estimated, or spend the additional time necessary.  The decision was made, and signed for in writing to spend the additional time.   As you stated in your complaint, "I frankly had more items then they expected. Mind you I do take some responsibility in that" which required additional time to move, thus the additional cost.   The items that were not moved, were unboxed items, and items that were outside the original quote or items replaced with additional items on the quote.   At the time of job completion, when payment was due you stated you were not going to pay the bill.  Payment is due at the time of job completion, based on the time and materials and the signed contract.   We sincerely hate that you do not feel you had a positive experience, however our team went above and beyond what you original onsite estimate to work with you and get your move completed.
