    Recently joined the gym May 24 and was charged the annual fee on July 1. Cancel the gym membership on yesterday July 9 and is requesting to have the annual fee prorated because I am not able to have a child sit in the lobby and I did not see that on the website. Some evenings after work, I would have to bring my child to the gym so that I may work out.

    Good morning,

    We are unable to offer a refund for ********'s maintenance fee. Per her agreement, to avoid paying for either her monthly dues or maintenance fee, the club requires a 7 day notice which can be done in person, over the phone, or through her online portal. This fee is used to keep up with maintenance of the facility and to maintain her memebership rate. ******** was using the facility since May 24th, 2024, and on her last visit she was accompanied by a minor under the age of 13. She was informed the minor could not be inside the facility and left unattended due to liability. She chose to cancel her membership for this reason. The age policy is also stated in her agreement which she reviewed during the sign up process, and received a digital copy to her email. I've attached her agreement to this communication. 

    We are happy to re-instate her membership within 30 days of cancellation (7/9/24) if she chooses to do so, and we will honor the same date for her maintenance fee.
