  April 17, 2023 placed an order online anthonysmarineengines.com for a Vortec 350/5.7 base GM marine engine Have been getting the runaround since. "Will be created tomorrow" "will get a tracking number later" "will ship tomorrow" etc and etc. I'm sick and tired of waiting and hearing the lies. On top of that, Anthony is rude and disrespectful. I just need the engine I've been waiting for nearly a month!

  In the listing for this product on our website, in the description we clearly state that we need from 15-20 business days for shipment.  Almost immediately after placing his order, this buyer started to badger us about getting his delivery.  We assumed that he never took the time to read the description and therefore was ignorant of the lead time.  Nonetheless, sensing his desire to obtain this product asap, we attempted to alter our shipping schedule to get this engine to him asap.  No matter what we told him, the badgering did not stop.  We were actually thinking of putting his order ahead of other customers.  However due to his nonstop badgering and belligerent attitude as can be attested to by his complaint calling us among other things liars, we stopped making an effort to move his order ahead of others and shipped it right on time.  We shipped his order Monday, May 15, 2023 via Roadrunner Freight Carriers Pro # *********.  Even in spite of his filing this complaint, we arranged to have this delivery made as a residential delivery since our carrier indicated that his facility doesn't really qualify.  Nonetheless, we arranged for that without any extra charge.  Since shipping out the order, this customer hasn't responded to any of our messages.  

  Please find below the verbiage used in our product description indicating that need to wait 15-20 business days before shipping.  We have also copied and pasted the order and some messages that transpired.

  Vortec 350/5.7 base GM marine engine.  Block, rods and heads are remanufactured, balance of parts new. Engine block is 880 casting, 1 pc rear seal. Bore doesn't exceed .040, crank .020. Roller cam. Includes HD 5 qt. oil pan, harmonic balancer, and plastic chain cover. Every engine is machined and built by master engine builder, valves are pre-adjusted. Engine can be used as replacement or upgrade.
  
  SHIPPING: We have endeavored to provide competitive shipping rates to our buyers based on your order being sent to a commercial facility in a non-residential area with the ability to unload a palletized engine off a tractor-trailer.   Generally speaking, any facility not in an industrial area will be up charged.  Please be kind enough to add the additional upcharge fee to your order if your ship to address is not in an industrial area.  
  
  CORES: Please plan on returning core in the same crate that you received shipment in by removing the engine from the top.  If you do not have a usable core to return, please acknowledge that and include payment for core fee in your order.  Paying for a core or shipping us a core is considered an integral part of this order.  
  
  Presently, orders are being shipped out 15-20 business days after receipt of order.

  We're sorry you're so upset, but in the description of our product it clearly states the amount of time we normally need to fill the order.  We are trying to expedite matters for you, but yours is not the only order we have.   We include the handling time so customers that take the time to actually read the description will not get upset and have inaccurate assumptions or expectations.  As we mentioned, we are trying to work around things as best we can to try and expedite your order.   Please tell us which part of "Presently, orders are being shipped out 15-20 business days after receipt of order" did you not  understand in the description?

We are working as quickly as possible without compromising quality. When your engine is ready to ship, we'll be sure to expedite matters so you can get it as quickly as possible.

  In our store on Wix, we clearly state in the description that we presently need 15-20 business days to complete an order. Your engine is not due to be shipped for a couple more days. We tried to explain that to you. We asked you to reread the description of the item you purchased. We do not mislead or deceive anyone. We told you that if at all possible we would endeavor to expedite your order. You are upset because you never took the time to read the description. That is not our fault. We state clearly what the expectations were. It is not our fault you had incorrect expectations as far as delivery is concerned.

  Your engine is being shipped today right on time according to the information provided in the description for the listing on wix. I spoke to the website administrators, and they agree that shipping expectations are clearly stated on the website. We're sorry that you are disappointed with the time it took to ship your order, but we honestly included in the product description that at the present time it could take anywhere from 15-20 business days to complete the order.   Your shipment location does not really meet the criteria for commercial delivery rates. However, as a courtesy to you, we have absorbed the extra cost and will not pass it along to you.   Your shipment is being delivered by Roadrunner Freight Carrier You may check the status by using Pro # ********* to track your shipment. We called the carrier today and your shipment is in the final stage of delivery. They will be calling you to make an appointment for the delivery since it appears that your facility doesn't qualify per carrier guidelines as a commercial delivery in a non-residential area. No worries. In view of you being under the impression that we are late in making your delivery, we arranged for residential delivery at no extra cost to you. In view of our desire to work with you we would appreciate it if you would contact the BBB and withdraw your complaint. The administrators of our website already agree with us that we shipped your order right on time and will back us up. Please be kind enough to remove your complaint as a sign of good faith.

  I am rejecting this response because:

  it is the 24th of May, 2023 and there is no sign of the engine anywhere. Going on 2 months, well over the 15-20 business day promise. To be exact, 1 month and 1 week has past and the seller continues to be rude and bring out unprovoked attitude while all I want to know is IF and when am I getting the engine. The tracking # provided supposedly has an estimated delivery of 5/22.

  Almost immediately after placing his order, Mr. ********* began badgering us about the delivery.   In response, we explored moving up his order ahead of others but that proved to be impractical as it would make their orders late.  By constantly sending us messages saying the delivery was late only impressed upon us that Mr. ********* never took the time to completely read the product description or was ignoring it.  It clearly stated under the product description that the order would take 15-20 business days to complete.  That meant that we had until May 15, 2023 to complete his order.  As per the attached documents, you can see that his order was shipped out on May 15, 2023.  According to the GTZ BOL 26919568, the estimated number of days for transit was supposed to be five.  As fate would have it, the delivery has been delayed which frustrates us as well as adding to Mr. *********'s consternation (Please see attached). Attached as well is the tracking information regarding Mr. *********'s order.  Our position is that in spite of anything Mr. ********* may say the product was shipped right on time as stipulated in the product description which Mr. ********* had ready access to at the time, he placed his order.  The fact that the order took until May 15, 2023 to ship should not come as any surprise to him if he had taken the time to thoroughly read the description before placing the order.  We apologize that Mr. ********* had different expectations but those expectations were not based on the facts presented in our product description.  (A copy of the product description was sent to you in previous correspondence).   After explaining all this to Mr. *********, we are flabbergasted by his complaint.  He says we are rude, but all we have done is imply that he never took the time to properly read the product description.  He however has resorted to calling us liars among other things.   We don't recall being anything but forthright and honest throughout this transaction.  If we are at fault for anything it is trying to be accommodating to his requests but ultimately not being able to meet his expectations.
