    Hurricane ****** 10/9/24 caused us to lose shingles from roof. Seaside roofing was across the street, we spoke to them. They took one of our shingles to know color. Transaction 10/10, we gave a $300 deposit for our side of villa (out of $700). We were told it would be a few weeks. We asked for a tarp because of rain over the weeks. Tarp was installed on Monday 10/14. After texts back and forth with owner, received word that repair would occur on 10/31. On October 30 received email stating extra cost of $523 for tarp! Wasnt mentioned by owner ***, operations manager **** or sales person ****. They arrive for repair 10/31, start with neighbor across the street who has same color Driftwood shingles, they didn't bring the correct color. They claim they couldnt find it anywhere. Worker leaves for an hour and a half searching. They stop work on their villa, fix our roof with not one but two incorrect colors. After brief research my neighbor finds the shingles a half an hour away, asks them to put aside the correct color. They are currently fixing across the street now on Nov 4. We now have patchwork on our roof and an unanswered question as to why no one ever mentioned cost of tarp during all of the opportunities. Attempts to call and text owner is always responded by so and so will get back to you or call so and so. No one gets back to us. Even texts with owner How, call so and so. We would like our roof repaired correctly with the correct color and we feel there was a bait and switch with the tarp issue by never being told about cost. Perhaps because we are senior citizens living in a 55+. Today we received invoice, even that is way off. Doesn't even acknowledge our deposit of $300 cash!

    Original contract $1600 TOTAL (us $700, neighbor $900) minus our side $300 deposit, we were now billed $1800, neighbor billed additional $1200.

    After talking with ******************* this afternoon we have decided that Seaside Roofing will come back out and replace the shingles with the correct color.

    Owner called yesterday. Very apologetic..said work will be redone correctly early next week and correct invoice will be sent. I'll keep you posted of this occurs. Thank you.
