I was verbally quoted $250.00 to run phone and coax line from one room to another in my residence. I was told it could reach $300.00 depending on the amount of line needed to be run. The work was completed on 08/16/2024 and took nearly 6 hrs. The worker disappeared for over an hour to gather supplies and came back smelling of pot. When the work was completed, there was no cleanup performed and he tried to charge me $650.00. I called the business and there was no answer. I've tried to call three times since then to lodge a complaint and there is no one to answer the phone or discuss my issues with. I am disappointed in the condition he left my residence and the fact that I was overcharged by nearly $400.00. I only paid $450.00 total and refused to pay more based upon the original quote. I am requesting a refund of $150.00 to match the original quote. I've attached a photo of the insulation left throughout my house without being cleaned up by the contractor.

Good day. The original quote was given for 250$ in labor and the additional charge of the materials which we do not know the cost until the job is completed. The amount of material used came to a total of 230$. Which is a total of 480$ in which we gave an additional discount to bring the total to 450$.  The technician picked up all trash that was used the remainder of which dust left was told to the technician by the homeowner that they would pick up the rest which should never be trusted. The work was completed in a professional manner within a total of 5 hours. 1 hour needed to collect materials do to the distance of the home away from the supply store. 4 hours of labor one hour of travel time in which was not charged to the customer at any point in time. 250 labor 230 materials. *** was done professionally and works correctly. Cost is completely justified and honored our quote. There should not even be a complaint at this point

I am rejecting this response because:

At no time did I or anyone else tell the technician to not clean up. Furthermore, providing a quote should be done in a manner which explains the charges in detail. Not having the ability to reach someone by phone for multiple calls over two days is an issue, how can anyone ask a question or lodge a complaint? A technician coming to represent a company should not smell of pot when returning from a trip to get supplies which should have been on hand in the first place. I articulated exactly what I wanted. The fact that I requested the lines to be run should indicate the need for cover plates. I believe 6 hours was excessive for the amount of work required.

    Sincerely,
