    Rented from this company for a year & now I am having to fight for my security deposit back. I have 2 letters, an original with the charges taken out of the deposit, I then disputed & was sent back a letter with still not the correct amount or explanation of charges. You can clearly see on the second letter sent to me with the new amount, which is still not correct, there are added charges that were not on original. Claims it just looks like it is more bc the way she broke it down. Well the math doesn’t lie, if she sent me $467.64 originally, then refunded the blinds & install charge which was $203.20, if you add that to $467.64, you get $670.84. So I’m not understanding why I received a check for $590.84. Told me I am wrong & will not speak with me & does not have a physical place of business, run out of their home. Asked for explanation of charges but will not provide, so how do I know the company who did repairs didn’t repair things that were already damaged upon move in & charge me for it? She has been a bully since we moved in, no respect & treated my husband & I like children.

    Invalid complaint.  This person did not rent from DumpTheDorm.  The property they were in is not associated with the DumpTheDorm business which is owned by a completely different person and legal entity.  BBB- please request proof from complainer that they used this business.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    As shown in the picture added, this is the same phone number & email address I have been communicating with. ******* has done everything to avoid me, now trying to be technical bc I guess this one particular rental wasn’t listed on her website, but this is the same person & same company. She is not willing to see the obvious & is doing everything she can to avoid giving me my money back. I am highly dissatisfied & disappointed.

    BBB - Please review this complaint.  This person did not do business with the owner of DumpTheDorm.  Also, DumpTheDorm is a website and NOT a business entity.  ******* Duguid is NOT the owner of DumpTheDorm.  She is only one operator and does not own or fund the website.  This complaint is invalid against this website and the basis for the complaint is also invalid.
