*** with action air conditioning diagnosed a faulty compressor and control board on my daikin ac unit on Jan 30,2024. He asked me to prepay the labor for the repair , before the parts arrived. I paid $268. The office then told me they were not comfortable installing the parts, and did not have a technician qualified to do such a complex job. I asked for a full refund since no repair occurred. After 4.5 hours of hold time and a week of waiting on their manager to speak with the owner, I received a partial refund. I am still waiting on $109 to be refunded. The next repair company said the diagnosis from action ac was completely incorrect. They charged me a separate diagnostic fee, and fixed the issue in 2 days.I want my final $109 refunded.

This customer called us because his AC was not working. When our tech arrived the first time the customer had another company out. We had to pay for our tech to go to his home and have to leave. We had to reschedule to go back out to his home again. The $109 that we charged was for our tech to diagnosis his AC problem. **** knew about this cost before we sent a tech out to his home. We refunded the customer the $159 that was charged to him because we didn't preform the work.

I am rejecting this response because:

The technician and your office was informed that the service call was only able to be performed between 11 and 3. I scheduled a service call. The tech missed the service call entirely on Friday. The call was then rescheduled for Saturday first call in the morning. I called the office to check the status of the service call around noon. They said we were still on track. Then I received a call back saying the tech was going to be late. I hired another company to perform the service call.

When *** called me to give me his eta as he was running late, I specifically told him what was going on , and that there was another tech already on site from another company. He said he would come anyway. He came and then immediately left because he could not work while the other tech was working. It was his choice to come.

We rescheduled *******  for Tuesday to diagnose the issue. The office said he was the only one qualified to perform the work. On Tuesday, *** returned, saying ******* was not available. He diagnosed the issue as the compressor and pcb board. He then said he would return to install them, and I should pay $263 preemptively for the service call and installation.

    I did so.

On Friday, the office told me that *** and no technician at Action Air was trained and capable to perform the repair. As such, they were walking away from the job.

I asked for a full refund, because the repair call had not only wasted a week of our time, but was worthless. No work had been performed. The technician sent was not competent to diagnose or perform the repair.

I asked the previous company to return and perform the repair. They installed a different part, and completely disregarded the analysis performed by ***.

Action Air purports to be capable of performing any repair on a mini split system from Daikin, but charges for service calls then cannot perform the work on. Why would anyone hire a technician to diagnose an issue they are not capable or performing the work on, at any price?

After 4.5 hours of hold time, multiple hang **** and a week, Action Air Refunded me $159. They still owe me $109.

Please refund me the remaining $109. This is a matter of principle, as you have received well over $2200 in other service calls from me in the past without complaint.

I will not be pragmatic about my pursuit of justice in this case. I will call 8 on your side, explain the story to them, have my lawyer pursue you in court, and completely disregard any reason. This is not about the money. You have completely disregarded a loyal customer.  Please do the right thing and lets put this behind us.

    Sincerely,

    ****
