April 10th, 2024, we ordered a transmission online from Pit Stop Auto Parts in *****, **. It was a website that you send them an inquiry of the part you need, and they look for it to send it to you from ****** search. They buy from a third party. My husband and I gave the vin number as well as the part number seen in the documents, and they still managed to send our mechanic the wrong part (they wanted the mechanics address). We contacted them and said we want a refund and they said that we have to pay for shipping and restocking fee and then spend another $750 to get a new one sent out as well as $175 for a smaller truck because it has to be put on a 16-wheel truck and a shipping pallet wrapped in plastic. Our mechanic has his own shop at the house, and they insisted it was at an actual business place and had to put on a smaller truck. Pit Stop tried to resolve the problem but told us we would have to pay more money, which we don't have. I would like to get a refund so that we can send the part back and get a new transmission some other place. They are not willing to work with us at all. They didn't provide a tracking number either, so they shipped once, nobody was home, so it went back to ******* then they shipped it back. Now they are trying to pick up the part and keep my money as they keep showing up to our mechanics' house. All we want is for our car to be fixed and back on the road and they are making it difficult.
