I spoke with someone who claimed to be a supervisor with this company and threatened legal and jail time if my debt was not paid within 30 days. When I called back after being hung up on magically all the supervisors were gone for the day.Business response

I am filing this complaint to put this agency on notice I sent violations to the debt collector for violating federal law. This alleged debt was placed on the consumer report. This company has violated federal law 29 times. The violations are from title 15 and title 18. I have included copies of all evidence to the debt collector.Business response

I moved out of my apartment in October 2020, and paid the final bill including the prorated monthly rent, and all fees via automatic bank draft on October 30th, 2020. Please see receipt. I emailed this receipt to Hunter Warfield on April 13, 2021 ( see email). This debt is not owed. It was not validated, and proof of payment in full upon departure was provided.Business response

Hunter Warfield just contacted me today to say that I owe over $2000 for breaking a lease at *************************** as well as cleaning and other charges. This happened 2 years ago; they said they just received the complaint from ***********. I was never notified of the problem by *********** apartments nor was my grandson who was also on the lease. I have had the same phone number and email address this entire time but I never heard from them. . HW said they would send me the documentation but never did. My next step is to contact *********** but HW said they would probably not give me any information bc it has gone to collections. I am having a hard time locating the information about our lease and any money paid to them and for what. What to do? Is this a scam???. This came out of the blue and unexpected and 2 years late. *********** should have contacted me; HW said they didn't have contact informationbut mine has been the same and so has my grandsons.
