Revnow Called me and stated that a previous creditor sold my debt to them. The woman who they put on the phone with me which they say all calls are recorded so they should be able to pull this up. Was extremely rude to me would not let me speak. told me that she was sending my account to legal and hung up on me. I first advised her that I told this company I had to have spine surgery and would be out of work for several months and asked ifmy payments could be deferred and she said that the company is terrible and they do not ever work with people. I then let her know that I also called this company last week and asked about a settlement and they told me that I had to wait an additional 90 days before I could request a settlement amount and no one mentioned anything about another company buying this loan. Then she started stating that my loan has only been open for 4 months, that is absolutely not the case. then I mentioned the interest and she cut me off and said its not our fault that people are stupid and dont read the print. At this point she was yelling. I asked her to please stop so that I could finish stating what I had already started to say beforeshe started yelling and talking over me, she said no Im gonna finish what Im saying. She is threatening me with legal when we did not even finish having a conversation or give me any information on what could be done before she lost her temper, screamed at me and hung up on me. I am filing this report to let rev now know that their employee was absolutely disrespectful, threatening, and did not give me the information on how I could take care this before threatening me with legal.Business Response

Reference Number ******* I am writing regarding extreme disappointment in the debt collection practice of RevNow. I received initial communication from them via email on 3/27/24. I responded on April 3rd asking if they are affiliated with Big Sky ******** as that is the name of the company I was told my debt was sold to. It was confirmed that RevNow is a client of Big Sky. On November 6th at 9:29am I received an email from RevNow with a reduction offer for my debt. The email offered a 50% reduction on a debt of $1,097 which could be set ** in 6 payments of $91.48 or bi-weekly payments of $45.74 and must be set up by November 30th. When I called RevNow they refused to honor the offer that was presented to me in the email and when I tried to explain what the email said, the representative talked over me and then put a supervisor on the phone. I explained to the supervisor what was stated in the email and the supervisor said that they could not honor the request. I asked why because this is the offer I received in the email and I wanted to do it because it works in my budget. The supervisor said it could not be done that way and I stated that I could not clear the debt if the offer can't be honored. The supervisor hung up on me.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:On November 6,2023 I received a reduction offer from RevNow for the debt. The offer was to make 6 payments of $91.48 per month. The letter also stated that I could make bi weekly payments of $45.74.
When I contacted Rev Now they did not honor the reduction offer that was sent via email. This puts me at a disadvantage because my original intent was to make arrangements based on this reduction offer and the representative bullied me into setting up an arrangement that I did not agree with. I am not happy with the current arrangement that I am in with the company because it has created a significant financial hardship for me and my family and now I'm stuck paying for this until September which is 7 months away. This is not fair and I expect that the company will honor the original reduction notice that was sent back in November of 2023 or I will be repeating them to the consumer financial protection bureau and the *** for unfair collection practices.
Proof of the reduction email is attached for your reference.

I submitted a BBB Complaint last month regarding a billing dispute. The business agreed to honor the initial settlement reduction offer that was made back in November 2023. This reduction offer was for me to settle my account for 6 payments of $91.48. When I filed the BBB complaint the person who responded on behalf of the business agreed to honor this arrangement based on the written documentation that was emailed to me. I contacted the business today to settle my account according to the reduction offer and the representative refused to honor what was agreed upon during my initial BBB complaint. I am reaching out again to get help with contacting the correct person at the business who can get my account updated to reflect the settlement offer and apply the payments to that amount that I have already made.Business Response

Dear *******************************,
First and foremost, we want to sincerely apologize for the confusion and the inconvenience you have experienced in trying to settle your account as per the agreement. It is never our intention to cause any frustration or to go back on our promises to our customers.
Upon thorough review of your complaint and the associated documentation, we have identified that there was an error in the wording of the original email sent to you, which led to the misunderstanding by our representative and management team. This was an unfortunate oversight on our part, and we are taking immediate steps to ensure such discrepancies do not occur in the future.
We want to reiterate our commitment to honoring the original settlement reduction offer made in November 2023, allowing you to settle your account with 6 payments of $91.48. We understand the importance of adhering to the agreements we make with our customers, and we are committed to upholding this promise to you.
As per our records, and with the payments you have already made, there is a remaining balance of $101.19 to complete the settlement of your account. We are ready to update your account to reflect this and ensure that the agreed upon settlement amount is accurately applied.
To facilitate this process and ensure no further issues arise, we are assigning a dedicated manager to your case. This manager will be in direct contact with you within the next 24 hours to confirm the update to your account and to address any additional concerns you may have. We want to make this right and provide you with the peace of mind that your account will be settled as agreed.
Again, we apologize for the back-and-forth and any stress this situation may have caused. Your satisfaction and trust in us are of paramount importance, and we are committed to restoring both. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this matter promptly.
