Smile design Villages in Summer field don't know how to read insurance, they wanted to charge me 30 percent more and they have hidden fee, it's a scam. Nobody follow up with me even after my insurance send them my paperwork twice. Their office is so dirty, they make you wait in a small room, no water, filthy floors and grouchy front desk. They made me wait for 50 minutes before my appointment, I feel like their office is taking advantage of old people who don't have energy to review the cost and they agree to it without knowing about hidden fees.

I was at the Lake Wales office. It is nothing but an assembly line dentistry. They did not want to listen to or meet my needs. They wanted to get me in and out as fast as possible with giving me an estimate for the most expensive thing they could do. I felt cheated and like no one cared about me. I will never use smile design and would strongly suggest no one else does either. Too many good dentist out there to bother with them

They were going to charge me over $500 for an. *** and cleaning and when I started to leave they reduced it to $285. They told me my insurance wouldnt cover it and conned me into giving my credit card. Two days later, I called my insurance to confirm why they wouldnt pay and smile by design had filed a claim in addition to charging me. After insurance called them with me on the line they said they would refund my 285. Claim was paid by hey havent refunded my money and when police got involved, they said they would refund only what the insurance paid. Insurance scammers! Dont go there

I was literally defrauded by ******* in the ********* office. I last used them back in April of 2023 and was over charged. I went over the billing with ******* and it was found that I did, indeed, need to be reimbursed. ******* refunded my $1800. Fast forward to January ****, I find a debit of $217.97 from Smile Design in *********. I had not used them since April of last year and I called to speak to ******* who is head of billing. She tells me that yes, she made the debit, and that last year (2023) the refund was not supposed to go to me, but someone else and she had made a "mistake" by "accidentally" entering the debit card number wrong. First, how do you enter a 16 digit number so incorrectly that the wrong person is refunded? She said that when she issued the refund "someone else" was waiting for it --- but that she just now found her "mistake". My thought is that IF someone else was waiting for a refund the same day I got the refund, don't you think they would have called by NEXT day to ask where their refund of nearly $2000 was?!? I know I would have. ******* over **** my account. I had never given her authorization to use my debit card. I was never contacted about owing ANY money back, and there has been NO documentation or proof sent to me, no calls, no emails, no certified letters, NOTHING. Any how, I told her she had just committed fraud and it didn't faze her. Next morning she hit my account again any way, for $1553.89 - over **** me again - I didn't have money for gas or food for over a week. I filed a fraud report with the **************** and with my bank. She couldn't show proof that I owed the money (because I didn't) so I was refunded by my bank. Smile Design has shut off their ****** Reviews so customers like me can't share their bad experiences. I believe she was creating erroneous bills and adjusting the books to scam people like me for her benefit.

Avoid like the plague. This outfit will rip you off royal. Paid over $3500.00 out of pocket for an implant. Was told that was all it would cost. Got a bill for another $587.00 3 months later once the implant was put in. Called office to find out what the deal was. I was told they reevaluated and decided they could squeeze me for an additional 20%. What a dishonest, disgusting, business practice.

Rip off artist...more like a used car dealer than a professional medical facility. Just go somewhere else, dont bother with wasting you money, time or the once every 60 months that some insurances have.....If you go here, just know we tried to tell you.

I went here for a routine check up teeth cleaning and had to get X-rays as a new patient which is covered by my insurance as part of the plan and checked that this office was in network and have had a bill for 502$ that has never processed correctly through insurance. I have contacted my insurance multiple times and contacted the office as well and keep hearing my claim is processing and continue to get the same bill for a basic appointment. My son has gotten the same things done with the same insurance at another dentist for pediatrics and never was charged a *****. Now I am looking up reviews on this business to see if anyone has had the same issue and I see many similar issues with complaints of wrongfully coding to insurance and bills that do not make sense. This has been going on since oct 2022 and no resolution and is now affecting my credit score. I am very unhappy with this office and will never return.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! Save yourself time and money by going somewhere else. They overcharge and you (the patient) have to do the work and show them that they over charged and you have to wait to get your money back. I have been waiting over a year to get my money back.Theres always someone new in the office. They cant keep employees. They mess up on everyones appointments. I cant believe this place is still in business.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I have a credit balance with smile design and cannot seem to get my funds returned to me. For over two weeks I have visited, called and used online chat, to no avail. I was told that there is no corporate office that I can speak with. This is the worst of the worst. I was saving up for procedures that are over priced and unnecessary. My next step is to file a suit. Save yourself the aggravation and see a reputable practice.

They sent me to do a root canal, and after the crown. The insurance refuse to pay for the crown and off course I did Appeal and they will pay in a few months. I did contact the office and sent the paper work that the insurance will pay the bill for $650. dollars. I keep receiving 2 letter (stamens') a month for the same amount and contact them explain that the insurance will pay the bill. Finally they sent me to collection, ruin my credit report and almost give me a heart attach. After they receive the money they don't even call to said that was complete paid in full by the insurance and no even a paper with the 0 balance. Staff are arrogant and the only person that you can talk is the doctor but she's never available.
