In September 2024, I purchased a new car from Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Tampa Bay and was strongly encouraged to add optional services totaling $6,350. I was explicitly assured that these services could be canceled at any time, with a fast and seamless process ensuring a full refund. I was told that retaining my money after cancellation would be illegal for the dealership. I canceled all services on 11/17/2024 - in person at the dealership (A copy of the cancellation form is attached).Additionally, the dealership charged a Mandatory Fee of $1,995 for Tampa Advantage but failed to provide any explanation, documentation, or services in exchange for this fee.Since November, I have contacted CDJR at least a dozen timesincluding sending a certified letter signed by the dealerships general manager, *** Ganzirequesting that the refund check be sent immediately to our lienholder. In response, **** *******, the Finance Director, simply stated via email: Your products are canceled. *** ***** was copied on this email (attached).Today, (2/7/25), I contacted Dealer General Warranty (***), the service provider of add-on policies, and was informed that a refund check for one of the three services was sent to **** on December 27, 2024. The dealership has held on to our funds since then. Furthermore, *** confirmed that **** never requested the cancellation of any other services, directly contradicting their statements and failing their obligations to the customer. The dealership is fraudulently withholding nearly $8,350 (on which we pay steep interest) by:Failing to process the cancellation of add-on services that were requested three months ago Holding on to refunds from *** instead of passing them to the lienholder Charging an unexplained $1,995 mandatory fee for services that do not exist This deliberate misconduct should be addressed to protect other customers. I appreciate your time.****** ***** ************ *******************Business Response

Complaint:Purchased a brand new jeep grand Cherokee from this dealer. Since ****** *** had to take me Jeep into the dealer 4 different times for the same issue. Each time they thought they resolved the issue but they didnt. I keep having sensors and lights come on at random times, some of which are safety sensors which are so concerning, and each visit they thought they fixed the issue.I have texts back and forth with one of their techs as well. I have video proof of these lights and sensors STILL going off as well as an email I sent to their service manager, ****, who never cared to respond let alone follow up with my multiple service visits over the same ********* Im filing a lemon law claim.Still, no one cared to reach out to me from the dealer to even apologize for this incredible **************** this point, all I was from the manufacturer now is to just refund me for the vehicle and take it off my hands.Initial Complaint

7/24/24 was the sale date. I was recommended by someone in the industry from land Rover of ******** to speak to ****, the general manager at CDJR of Tampa Tampa Bay. When I brought my 2021 Jeep gladiator in that was ending a lease term. The dealership noted that instead of buying out my vehicle, I could simply give them my vehicle and purchase a new one for the same payments roughly as if I just kept my vehicle and bought it out. I further then purchased a new vehicle from them in about two months later received a letter in the mail from *******. That was the previous lender for the lease on the 2021 gladiator of over $10,000. this was never discussed during the time of sale. I spoke to ********* and unfortunately, they said that the dealer did not have a good faith and decide to not disclose these numbers simply to get a sale out of me. Ive spoken to other people in the industry and they said they definitely did this on purpose although they are claiming otherwise it would be great if someone could give me a call and we could explain further, but I would like some sort of action to be put on this business.Business Response

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership 6/10/2024 when I purchased the vehicle the sale price was ****** after negotiations we agreed to buy the vehicle for ****** out the door price. I am very upset because this dealership financed this vehicle for *********. I never agreed to the amount financed when I went back to the dealership to try to resolve this situation I was told that they had added additional packages that I never agreed to add. I told them to take off all of the additional packages and void out the contract and start a new one with the correct information they told me they dont do that they have a policy of not voided out contracts. Per my financial institute this was the best way to fix the problem but they would not do this so they told me they were going to refund my financial institute the money back and they would expedite the process to later find out they did not expedite the process and I was told would *********** weeks for the bank to receive the refund. It has now been 8 weeks and my financial institute has not received the refund yet. This place is very hard to communicate with they dont return calls or emails . I also took the vehicle a week later after I purchased it because the front passenger window was making a loud crackling noise. I had to bring the vehicle back another day because the technicians were not in on the weekend they told me I had to leave the vehicle because they had to order the part they had to change the window motor. When I picked up the vehicle I noticed when I got home the truck had scratches and scuff marks on the right back end. I immediately brought it to the dealership attention but was told it did not happen at the dealership that is the only place I have left my vehicle unattended. They told me to bring it so they could try to buff out the marks but they did absolutely nothing to fix it. They also ran my credit excessively and affected my credit can someone please help me resolve my situation.Business Response

One morning my Jeep decided not to start. I called to have it towed to an auto shop which they could not hook it up to the diagnostic computer. I then had it towed to ********** (where I purchased it) and they too said they could not do anything. I then had it towed 1 mile down the street to Jeep Dodge Chrylser Ram at ***************************** My sales *** ***** called and spoke with me. She told me she would get me taken care of and she was nice. At the end of the day I received a follow up call from someone else named *****. She had said ***** had to leave for an emergency but that they had done diagnostics on my car and come to find out it was the batteries. Both had died, again. As I had just purchased two batteries 2 years ago when my vehicle acted up back then. Jeep sent me a quote for $800 to ***lace both batteries. I did some research and found out that the batteries are good under warranty for 3 years. Now when I contacted **** and stated this, they refused to honor the warranty. So I then filed a complaint with **** and received a case number and they did state that the warranty was indeed good for 3 years. *********** then told me in order to get the batteries ***laced under warranty I needed to take it to Jeep in ****, which I did. When the tow truck driver went to Jeep on N *********** I received a call stating my sales *** left for the day and I owed $270 or else she would not release my vehicle to the tow driver. I was never made aware of this. ***** never quoted me or said there would be a charge or anything of that nature. I was at work at the time I received the call and I had to make the payment over the phone, thus making my rent payment short. Since then I have contacted **** asking to speak with a manager. The associates state they're busy and they will call back. However, I have yet to receive a call back. I have emailed and left many voicemails and nobody has reached back out. I should be refunded the $270 since this was covered under warranty.Initial Complaint

I am rejecting this response because:
They still have my car and they claim they put a new motor in but the day they told me to pick it up they engine light came right back on. I feel they have knowledge the car is no good and they sold me a bad car. Its crazy that responded to you all fast but has had my car since April. I asked for money back or use the money for another car and get me out this loan. As of today they still havent fix the problem.

All lease payments and conditions had been completed and paid on time.Purchased a Used 2016 Jeep Cherokee with ******* miles.Issues with CDJR of Tampa:1. She was unable to get an answer.5. Upon pick-up of the 2016 Jeep Cherokee the last week of March the vehicle was shaking, and service engine lights were on, service air bag light and all lights on gear shift were on. I am rejecting this response because: yes the finance rep had me sign an As Is Deal. But then ALSO added a dealer warranty without my knowledge. So how can it be As Is but also have a $3000 warranty added into my deal and financing. Finance rep also added GAP insurance for $1000 without my knowledge. And what about all the extra fees that were added in? Or how did I end up with negative equity applied to the deal when I was simply returning a leased Jeep in very good condition and low mileage at THE END OF THE LEASE?
Sincerely,

I am writing to address a concerning issue regarding the purchase agreement for a new vehicle that I acquired from Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Tampa Bay on 27 Jan 2024. Despite my explicit disapproval and the repeated requests from my husband and myself to exclude the Dealer General Warranty Protection Agreement, I discovered that it was included in the final purchase agreement even after I was told it would not be included. I firmly believe that the inclusion of the protection agreement is a clear case of misrepresentation and intentional misleading on the part of Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Tampa Bay. It is my understanding that their actions are in violation of Florida Statute *******, specifically sections (8) Misrepresent warranty coverage, application period, or any warranty transfer cost or conditions to a customer. (9) Obtain signatures from a customer on contracts that are not fully completed at the time the customer signs or which do not reflect accurately the negotiations and agreement between the customer and the dealer. After reviewing my vehicles buyers contract on 1 Feb 2024 I discovered that the warranty was included and I was charged $1450 for the most expensive warranty option. I immediately contacted (via email) both the warranty company, Dealer General Warranty and Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Tampa Bay and requested that they cancel the warranty in accordance with the terms of the contract which allowed the warranty to be canceled within 30 days for a full refund. The warranty company immediately cancelled the contract and advised that the contract was still in a pending status because no funds had been received and that a refund would be issued by the dealership. I have made several attempts to contact the dealership via email and via phone and they have refused to provide a refund and have stated that the $1450 was a down payment. However, my downpayment was only for $1000 which is confirmed on the contract.Business Response

I was quoted a price for a new vehicle. I instructed to run credit on through a specific bank. They ran my credit against a dealership private lender and claimed i did not have top tier credit and completely changed the original quote for a much higher price. Halfway through the phone call they tell me the call is recorded which is illegal to do so without 2-party consent in *******. They tried to pressure me into taking a much higher quoted deal. They basically pulled a major bait and switch. The only resolution i am willing to accept is the initial quote and through the bank i specified with nothing more and nothing less.Business Response
