              We paid $19,595.11 by check to Newsom Eye on 2/13/23 for cataract and glaucoma surgery for ***************************** (husband). This was the expected out of pocket amount for the surgery. On May 2nd, ******* decided to hold off on glaucoma surgery and asked ***************************** at the office to verify the amount to be refunded. ******* emailed the refund would be $6,201.77 (which looks correct to us) and that she would start the refund process.We called several times for a status with no luck. One time they even had the audacity to say the only person who could sign checks was out of the office for two weeks. It is now July 18, 3.5 months after requesting the refund and we still do not have the money. They have had the money since 2/13/23.

              I had an appointment today for reading glasses. I paid my co-payment $40 and was then given a refraction test, then the doctor gave me an eye exam. I received the prescription for glasses and before leaving I was asked to pay $60 for the refraction. None of the staff told me that there will be an additional charge of $60 for the refraction and/or gave me an option as to whether I wanted one. If one was needed for the reading glasses they should state to there patients all out-of-pocket costs for tests.
