Feb ***** 2024 Tampa Bay Plumbers/ YPOXI coated and lined my cast iron sewer pipes to assure ease of flow and prevent failure. Estimate is attached. This work came with a 25 yr guarantee (attached). I noticed the guest bath tub was draining very slowly, so on 2/7/25 I had a plumber scope the line via the guest bath toilet access. I couldn't upload the entire video, so I attached a screenshot. The epoxy coating has delaminated and caved in, blocking this leg and preventing use of the kitchen and guest bath. The main line was accessed via the cleanout, and shows evidence of water behind the epoxy and numerous ripples. I immediately phoned 5 phone numbers associated with YPOXI and Tampa Bay Plumbers. I was only able to leave a message on 1 of the numbers, and the call was not returned. I soon found that they are out of business. I've had 2 other lining companies assess the lines. The lines need to have all the faulty epoxy removed, and then be relined. I will have to pay whichever company to fix the error and reline.Initial Complaint

Not sure what happened with these guys. They replaced my septic and drain field last year and It's time to get a pump out. NONE of their phone numbers work anymore. I've used their website contact form and any and every phone number I can find on the internet for them and haven't gotten a response from any of them. I reached out to the owner through social media and no response. With us still having a warranty for this septic system we are in need of assistance with getting help from the company.Initial Complaint

In September 2022 Tampa Bay Plumbers replaced the Drain Field in my house, 90 days after I had a hole in front of the house (and still have it ) due to the horrible job they did. I called them and they told me the same thing I see theyve told others complaining about the same issue, that I used too much water after the drain field was done. TIL the day of today, Ive been dealing with this abusive and horrible company. I talked to the supposed owner on a 3 way call with the other puppet he has as an employee but didnt work out anything, this company is just stealing money from peoples pocket as if they dont work for it, to me that is called fraud. This company should be investigated and should be closed down for good. Hopefully people read reviews before contacting them and things like this dont happen to more people. I recommend NOT to use this company Tampa Bay Plumbers LLC company for anything, it is not worth it theyll just take your money. I paid $8500for this job that was the worst mistake ever. And they still have the guts to tell me they were going to send me another quote to fix it. And I know theyll come with the same story they tell everyone who had send a complaint about their company ( that we supposedly messed up the drain field ) but please dont give me that BS. Worst company ever Tampa Bay Plumbers LLC hope your company get closed for good.Initial Complaint

Septic tank installed, covered under warranty. They will not replace septic tank. I have pictures of staff falling into spetic tank upon installation. Furthermore, my soil that they had tested is fine. They are blaming my water Softner which has nothing to do with the issue. They are avoiding a legal contract. I paid ****** and now they sent me a quote for $6,500 to replace. Im still under warranty. Owner refuses to call me.Business Response

Hi ****,
We have been in contact with you throughout this process and have been very open with communication on our findings. Installation of your system was done correctly, permit was approved and there were no issues. When you began having issues with your system you had another company come out and did not call us right away. As of July 2023 we have been tracking water usage, and water usage is fine. Then we brought in a third party soil testing company, at our expense, (report attached) to ensure that soil in/around drainfield area is in good shape. They confirmed that there are no soil issues and system has no reason that it should not be working properly. However, under further investigation there was a green slime-like substance that was notated inside the drainfield panels and along the fabric where water should be draining from. This slime is preventing proper drainage of the field. Warranty of any septic system is voided when improper foreign substances and/or chemicals are introduced into the field by the homeowner, whether intentional or not. This slime is evidence of misuse/foreign substance. This does void the drainfield warranty. Estimate for a discounted field replacement has been sent to the customer. Our warranty information (which was on the estimate and invoice) is as follows:
SEPTIC WARRANTY INFORMATION:
All drain field installations are covered under warranty for a period of five (5) years. Annual service of your system is highly recommended for longevity. The five (5) year warranty does not cover damages caused from outside influences such as hurricanes, lightning, or other acts of God. Damage caused from vehicle traffic or other heavy equipment that is not intended to travel in the work area is also not covered in this warranty. Water softener discharge into septic system will void warranty. Excessive water usage will void warranty. Please see notes displaying your systems daily usage capacities. No irrigation piping or sprinkler heads can be installed or re-installed over any part of your new drain field or septic tanks, this will also void warranty. Septic destroying chemicals will void warranty please research all liquids used in the house that are put down the drain to see if they are septic safe, If the field fails there will be a soil inspection to check for harmful chemicals.Again, we have discussed all findings with the customer. My septic technician showed the husband the slime substance. At no time during this process has the customer voiced any complaints or unsatisfaction, they seemed to be aware that the slime substance was likely the issue. We have researched and eliminated any other possible reason for the failure.

I contracted Tampa Bay Plumbers to fix a sewer odor issue relating to a sump pump drain back in June 2021. Chris Grimes said a repipe of the supply from service to all fixtures, plus a new sump pump and hydrogetting all the lines would solve my odor issue. Chris said his proposal would take care of all the plumbing issues and quoted me $12,400, and that I would not have to worry about any plumbing issues for a long time. TBP is a big local company with good reviews so I thought I was in good hands and could finally resolve this sewer odor problem once and for all. I was so wrong. After multiple delays and back and forth refixing, the sewer odor issue never went away. This dragged on for over 6 months and Chris became unresponsive. I had to escalate this issue and finally Ryan, the owner, and Cyndy, the Operations Manager, got involved in Jan 2022. Ryan apologized and agreed to give me a refund/credit in a new proposal and would give me an almost at cost deal for all the grievances caused. The new proposal was $4700 for pump drain reroute and $7000 for adding vents through roof (VTR). Ryan said the drain reroute should solve over 90% of the sewer odor issue but need the VTRs to 100% resolve it. Basically, Ryan is asking me to pay another $12000 on top of the initial $12000 from Chris's project, totaling $24000, to solve the initial sewer issue I contracted TBP to do. I've already lost trust in TBP by then so I emailed Ryan and Cyndy to request the refund/credit be applied to my balance first. The total credit Ryan offered was $6191. My TBP balance was $5000 which means that I should have $0 balance, plus a credit of +$1191. The resolution I'm seeking is to make this official. P.S. I found another plumbing company in which the owner Sam immediately pointed out the pump drain problem and gave me a $2000 proposal (the same work that Ryan proposed and gave me a good deal for $4700). It took Sam 1.5 days to finish and the sewer odor never came back. Unbelievable.Business Response
