I advised American Integrity Insurance 12/2/2021, that I would not be renewing my HOI policy with them upon its expiration date of 1/13/2022. I had already obtained a new HOI that went into effect 1/13/2022. I continue to receive payment remittance requests from AII, first one dated 3/14/2022 and another dated 3/30/2022. On 3/22/2022, I contacted my former agent, Gus V., and reminded him that the policy was not renewed and that I nor my mortgage company should be receiving any payment remittance requests. A couple of days after having this conversation with Gus, I received a declaration page for the same policy with a 1/13/2023 expiration date. Again, I reached out to Gus and he assured me the policy had been cancelled. With the email was a "cancellation" notice that said the policy would be cancelled if payment was not received by 4/15/2022. I called their customer service line and was told that there was no indication that the agent cancelled the policy. I was then told to email them the front page of my current policy along with the related correspondence requesting that the policy be cancelled, and they will back date the cancellation AII and issue any refund due. I did as asked but still have received no confirmation that the policy has effectively been cancelled. Instead, I'm still receiving payment remittance requests. I have asked that they cease sending me or my mortgage company any further payment requests and they have failed to do so. When sending the requested documents to American Integrity, I also requested it be noted that the policy was not being cancelled for non-payment, it was being cancelled at the customer's request. I would like for confirmation that the policy was cancelled (not renewed) effective 1/13/2022 when the policy expired.

BB I am a home owner in Rotonda West Florida with a insurance policy with Integrity Insurance Company. Recently I filled a claim with them for theft. I checked my policy and found out I had replacement insurance on my possessions for up to $50,000.00. I contacted them and they told me what to do for filing a claim Including: Getting a police report. A list of everything stolen. Receipts for everything stolen. Replacement value for everything stolen. How long have I been occupying my house. Past Renters. And finally have it Notarized. After completing all of the above I was informed 2 weeks later that I did not qualify for any insurance. Furthermore I was informed that I was only covered for the damages the burger caused to my house while being burglarized and not the contents. So the contents were not covered even though I had $50,000.00 of replacement coverage. Also to my surprise I was left a message on my answering machine from my adjuster Quacey D. ( who works for American Intergrity Insurance which I think is a conflict of interest) that I should put this claim through my Canadian Insurance Company! ( I saved the message )Which is unethical to say the least and most probably illegal. I don't expect that AMERICAN INTEGRITY INSURANCE to change their minds and do the honourable thing but I am warning all the people that are insured by them or those thinking of being insured by them to know what type of insurance company you are dealing with. Respectfully ***** *****

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/06) */ Mr. *****, We reviewed your dwelling policy and it does not include theft coverage, and it does not appear that you purchased the Limited Theft Coverage endorsement available for that policy. Because your policy does not cover theft, your loss is not covered. You are welcome to speak to your agent or your adjuster if you would like more information about your policy coverage. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/04/08) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I am soooo disappointed in your response. I had $50,000.00 of property replacement coverage on my policy. Why would anyone insure a home against the damages the burglary did to your home and not the content they stole from your home? Doesn't make any sense?Shame on you for taking advantage of one of your loopholes you have in your 50 pages of disclaimers. I hope other people read your reply and decide for themselves if they want you as their insurance provider. I am glad I found out how you treat your clients. When you use loopholes to get out of paying on such a small claim why would anyone trust you on a big claim. You just lost me as a client and most probably others who read this and realize that American Integrity Insurance is not a company they can trust! Kind Regards ***** ***** Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/04/12) */ Mr. *****, Because you did not purchase the endorsement, you are not covered for theft. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to your agent to discuss your coverage.

Tornado hit the house and caused roof damage on 1-16-22. I filed a claim to insurance company for the roof damage (CHO-XXXXXXXX) as well as another claim for water leaking up from floor (CHO-XXXXXXXX) as well as roof damage reports. The adjuster, Eugenio M. never looked at the roof, was rude and degrading to me and the roofing company representatives. The third party engineering company assessed the roof on 2-1-22. I was told by the adjuster I would have the engineer report in 3 weeks. The leak detection company was here on 2-8-22 and I was also to receive that report. I have emailed the adjuster 4 times requesting said information and also called him 3-11-22 when he promised he would email all the information to me that day. As of today I have had no replies, no email, nothing but a run around. I called customer service to file an official complaint and talk to his supervisor, Wayne D., whom, of course, you cannot reach directly.

The roof on my house is about 9 years old and my HOA fee includes roof replacement when necessary, Yet, American Integrity Insurance has elected to not renew my policy due to the age/condition of the roof. That is not possible.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/02/15) */ Mrs. ********, We have shared your information with our VP of Underwriting as well as our Director of Customer Experience. They reviewed your account and realized that the information we had on file regarding your roof was incorrect. Our Director of Customer Experience should have reached out to advise you that we are rescinding our non-renewal of your policy. We sincerely apologize for our mistake and any inconvenience it *** have caused.

An claim was filed on 11-6-2021 because of a sudden wall leaking from a storm. I have not gotten the engineers report to determine where the leak is coming from nor has any attempt to repair the damage. I can not get a call back from the company and all attempts other than email have been ignored. I have ben told to secure my property to prevent any further damage, but I do not know where the leak is coming from. I need immediate help.

      Business response

      02/03/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/12/28) */ Mrs. *****, The engineer that came to assess the damage determined that the cause was due to settlement of the exterior material that allowed rain water to enter and manifest in cracks that have been ongoing for at least a year - we have summarized the engineer's findings in our coverage determination letter that will be mailed to you today (12/28/21). We are available and happy to answer any questions or concerns you *** have. Thank you. Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/01/13) */ I have not received a copy of the report and was told they would not release the report to me. There are no signs of settlement as me the leaks were a sudden result after a storm last fall. The problem has not been going on for over a year, as they stated. I'm not sure where that information came from. I want the leak fixed or I will have no other choice than to seek legal action Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2022/01/25) */ Mrs. *****, Because our engineer determined that your loss was not covered under the terms of our policy, we are unable to pay for any repairs you have made. If you are able to provide us with an assessment from a licensed expert regarding your loss, we are more than happy to review and consider that information.

I was doing renovations in my home when the contractors found black mold in various places in my home. I contacted American Integrity Insurance and was assigned Raleigh V. H. as my adjuster. When nothing was getting done as he was seeking estimates from my contractor and others to do repairs, I called about the black mold. No response after my leaving many phone messages. So my sister who was visiting called and asked for his supervisor who is Paul K. to hopefully get a response. Paul did not call but Raleigh did and said he was still waiting for estimates and promised to call within two days. He did not. My sister called again today to speak with someone higher up. The woman responded there isn't anyone that she herself can go to that it must be Paul. My sister told her that regardless as of the reconstruction the mold must be taken care of and it should have been taken care of the first week. The red tape that was put on to cover it is loose exposing the black mold which is not active having been disturbed. So far NO response from the company. Claim Number: ***********

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/26) */ ********, Your adjuster is currently obtaining costs for mold remediation and contacted your sister, *******, today to provide a claim status. The mold remediation estimate should be received shortly and we will provide an update as soon as possible. Thank you. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/10/29) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do and don't as of yet want to close this complaint. It is true that they finally are trying to get things moving. I need to see how they will respond to the work that needs doing. Yivel M. from the company has been faithful in contacting my sister on my behalf as I have BP issues right now from all of the stress. Until this work is actually approved by the insurance company to be taken care of I wish to keep this file open. I will close it when I am satisfied that the work is done. Living with black mold for almost a month while they dragged their feet until I lodged a complaint and threatened to go to the BBB does not have me put much faith in a satisfactory resolution. Please be patient. Thank you. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/11/01) */ ********, Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need more information from your adjuster. Thank you.
