I applied for an apartment at Regan Crossing in Covington, LA. Immediately after paying $75 dollars for application fee on May 17 at 12:57 AM CST. My application was denied by the there property staff at 8:53 AM CST, even though I believed I met all qualifications to rent a unit from them per the information on the application and from Madison who works at the property. I called Regan Crossing on May 17th at 11:54 AM CST to ask why my application was denied so I can have knowledge of what’s wrong. Madison first mentioned that she did not see my application. This was confusing as communication between her and I was fluent through text of completing the application process. Madison stayed she was looking through my application and Emily denied but she is trying to see why it was denied and placed me on a brief hold. Madison then returned to the phone and said that Emily is unavailable to talk but she will call me and tell me why I was denied. I never received a call in the working hours of that day, so I pulled my credit report from all 3 bureaus and see that property management never pulled an inquiry. I have called today, May 18th at 9:37 AM CST but there was no answer. I would like to receive more answers from the owning management company as to why I denied. Does property management charge $75 dollars to view and application without credit inquiries? If so this needs to be reflected on the website. Instead the website says that a third party performs a credit check once application fee is paid. That did not take place.Review from Alisha A

In March of 2022, I excitedly moved into ****************************** in *******, *******, under the management of Allegiant-******. My enthusiasm quickly waned as I encountered unprofessional behavior from the management team, leaving me feeling dissatisfied & disheartened. Despite my desire for a safe & comfortable living space, I have faced ongoing harassment during my time here. The first sign of trouble emerged when my husband received a call on September 6th, alleging our rent was overdue, despite us using Bill *** for payments. After providing evidence of payment, the issue appeared to be resolved. Three weeks later, a threatening voicemail warned of eviction if the rent wasn't promptly received. This lack of communication & sudden ultimatums shattered any hopes we had of creating a "home" in this community.Despite our diligent efforts to stay on top of rent payments, discrepancies persisted. Misunderstandings regarding payments and unexpected fees only added to our stress levels. Resolving these issues became a time-consuming ordeal, leading to a loss of trust in management. The final blow came when I was informed that paperwork for our service dog was missing from our file. Despite providing documentation dating back to when we first got our dog in 2011, additional demands were made, causing further distress. Threats of fees and charges only heightened my mounting frustrations and anxiety. On top of these personal challenges, the property overall has been lacking. From leaky roofs to broken gates, neglected workout rooms, & unsanitary elevators, a plethora of issues plagues the premises. The disregard for ****************************** standards only adds to the discomfort and unease I experience living here. These incidents have made it so difficult for me to continue residing at ******************************. The ongoing problems, combined with unprofessional behavior from management, have created a toxic living environment that I can no longer tolerate.Allegiant-Carter Management, LLC Response

We follow all federal, state, and local fairhousing guidelines. It is the responsibility of the resident to ensure payment is received in our office on time as we offer multiple avenues for making payments. Request for early termination of a signed lease must follow the guidelines as set forth by the lease.Review from Gabrielle C

I lived at EOS apartments for one year , they waited until way past the legal time frame to tell me how much they would be raising the rent, after I requested the information early at least four months before my lease was up in their office with staff. I was forced to find a new apartment in three weeks and left on time. Rent on my studio apartment was raised from about $1,100 to *****. I lived in Conservice in 2021. It is now January ****.Recently Conservice, who handles their billing for utilities sent me a bill by email claiming it is in reference to my residence at ******** , where I pay my utilities included with my rent that has nothing to do with the time frame of the fraudulent electricity bill claim from Conservice. This fraudulent bill claims I owe an electricity bill for beginning of November 2023 to the beginning of December 2023 due by February 1st ****, for my current residence that has nothing to do with this bill. This is a fraudulent harassing fraudulent bill by email .When I call customer service for Conservice and I select the option to speak to someone, the automated hangs up immediately after a brief message and they are unreachable and they have not called me back to correct themselves.I paid rent on time and utilities with EOS through Conservice on time every month. I left the apartment in perfect condition . I have pictures of the way I left that apartment pristine when I gave my keys back. This is a terrible dishonest manipulative company using their utility affiliates to harass and take my money today in **** after I left and paid every extra bill for the lease without complaints, I paid them every single expense accrued for utilities and all the rent on time for that one year lease in 2021. They need to stop sending me bills through Conservice, Conservice had my information because it was a requirement to my lease and they refuse to correct Conservice and have my information removed from the system with Conservice.Allegiant-Carter Management, LLC Response

*******************, we are concerned with your posting and would like to do what we can to best assist you. We have in our system notice to vacate was initiated on November 29, 2021 with a move out date of January 29,2022 with a refund check for deposit minus final charges was sent to your forwarding address on February 8, 2022. EOS Apartments has stopped utilizing ********** as our third party utility billing company in January 2023 and have not had ties to the company since then. We are not familiar with whom your current community utilizes for their billing company however note these charges would not have been generated by our property.
In good faith ** you would like to contact us directly to assist in determining where this originated from we can attempt to help by using some of the contacts we have made with ********** in the past. Many apartment communities utilize ********** for their utility provider in the area however we will see how we can assist.Review from Labreao O

I give this company 0 stars!!!! In the last 2 months, this has been the worst experience by far I have ever experienced! I had a inspection of my apartment done in November 2021. On June 19, 2022 my lights went out at 6:15 a.m. I tried calling and none of the 4 or 5 numbers associated with the complex was the emergency number. After putting in a work order, no one responded until 3:30 p.m. The next day, I spoke with the regional manager, Angelic, and she was very rude! I was given the option to move into another unit and was advised to file a claim with my insurance. The property manager at that time, Ebony, said the breaker box was burned. She claimed she had pictures but I never saw them. I couldn't move into the new unit because it would take a week to get ready. I did file an insurance claim but it was denied. I spoke with the electrician that the complex contracted out, they said the breaker box was old and needed to be replaced. Due to these reasons, my insurance says reimbursement for my hotel stay will not happen. For the last 2 months, I have been trying to call and speak with anyone from the apartment complex who could resolve the issue of being reimbursed. The property manager is no longer employed with the company. The other regional manager, Heather, said their is nothing that can be done for me because it's not their fault, when it is!
