              I am currently a resident in a Second Avenue property. I had a septic tank backup which overflowed sending waste and sewage into the residence. I contacted maintenance who in turn contacted a plumber. The plumber texted me and determined that this was not in his scope, as it appeared to be a septic issue. He send the request back to Second Avenue. I the interim I am unable to use any restroom facilities and there is standing water throughout the home, the stench was overpowering, and the conditions unlivable. I felt as if my only option was to remedy the situation myself and contacted a septic company who handles emergent situations. I submitted the invoice to the management team for reimbursement and was denied. The reason for the denial was that I did not give maintenance enough time to resolve the situation.
