      Affordable roofing replaced the roof in June of 2020. I spoke to the old homeowner, and they didn't give us any warranty info or instructions about transferring it when they sold the house to us.Therefore, when we bought the place in October 2021, we didn't get any registration info for the warranty. We thought the roof was covered, which was a factor in us buying the property. It's important to note that the warranty is for the roof, not the people living in the house.On February 3, 2024, we saw damage to the wood on our wall, which led to us finding a bad leak. This leak has been going on for a while due to the mold, and the extensive plywood damage. When we checked the roof from the outside, we didn't see any loose or missing shingles, or any obvious wear or damage. When we talked today, you said the warranty had expired and that you wouldn't cover the repairs needed. You mentioned that you could send someone over for a fee to give us a quote for the repairs. You also mentioned that the old homeowners got an extended warranty from GAF (Warranty # *******), but it seems to only cover the original owner. I've also reached out to GAF management.Given all that, we don't think the roof should be having these problems less than 5 years after it was installed. It looks like it's down to poor workmanship. We believe you, as the roofing company, should sort this out, regardless of who's in the property. We are in the process of getting an inspection to determine the damage cost, and if it is in fact due to poor workmanship we will take the next steps. We are requesting that you repair the damage. We are not trying to be difficult however, there is a responsibility to the consumer to provide excellence and to stand by that. The cost of a new roof nearly cost $20,000. That is alot of money! I am asking you to do the right thing.

      Affordable Roofing Systems, Inc. (ARS), emphatically denies the alleged issues with the roof are because of poor workmanship on our part.  You even doubt poor workmanship because you state you are in the process of getting an inspection.  Your allegations against ARS are baseless.

      It is important to clarify that ARS never entered into a contractual or other relationship with you.  ARS rendered no goods or services to you, and you were never a client of ARS.  Furthermore, ARS obviously had nothing whatsoever to do with the terms and conditions of your purchase of the house from the prior owner, which was after we had installed the roof. 

      There are various potential reasons, aside from workmanship, that could contribute to the alleged roof issues, presuming they even exist.  We installed the roof in June 2020, before your purchase of the house.  Furthermore, our warranty for the roof expired in June 2022.

      Your use of this public platform is an obvious and unreasonable attempt to bully ARS into providing you valuable labor, materials and services for free.  We encourage direct communication to discuss your concerns privately in a fair and constructive manner.
