I December 2022 i had an agreement with Volt Solar Solutions LLC for solar panel installation on my house at ******************************************. The work took up to about last year ***** , and was abandoned. I made several attempts to contact the company and agent who did the installation to no avail. I still some abandoned materials since the beginning of 2024. Last month the agent who did the installation replied to my text message stating that , he no longer work for Volt Solar Solutions, and directed me to call the company. I also found out that the company no longer exist. As of last year, I stopped making payment on the loan due the incompletion of the solar installation. The lender has to this effect been threatening to place a lien on my house due to non payment. At this point, i just want the solar panels taken down my roof.Initial Complaint

Do not trust this company. Our solar panels were first installed in March 2022. I am still getting a large utility bill two years later. They came out the first time after I complained. They surveyed my utility usage. They concluded my utility usage was higher than when I installed the panel. That did not make sense because I did not add a sizeable electric appliance, so consumption should have stayed the same years later. They tried selling me additional panels at an additional cost. My interpretation of this scam is that they tell you and show through sneaky graphics that you will save money by installing so many panels, knowing that you will eventually need additional solar panels to get to the ideal electric bill. Additionally, I had continuous banging on my roof during Hurricane ******. The storm must have loosened a panel or two, and we are unable to get in contact with anyone at this company right now. I tried calling and emailing them and have received a response.Initial Complaint

Our solar panels were first installed in March 2022 and two years later, the utilities costs are double, almost triple compared to the costs prior to installing the panels. Our home size and consumption has not changed. The panels are not generating power as we expected and now, we are unable to get in contact with any personnel at this company.Initial Complaint

The solar panels they installed work to a point. They provide power during the day but... it doesn't provide enough extra power to sell back to the electric company to cover the nite time usage like they said it would. At the time of installation *** ( a owner ) called and told me they switched to a bigger panel and didn't need as many as their original quote. I'm still getting a bill for usage beyond the monthly hook up fee with ****.Ove called all the numbers I can find and Noone answers. I've e mailed and the voice mail box is full. Please help me resolve this issue Thenk you.. *************Initial Complaint

Volt Solar Solutions recently set up solar at my home under the *************************** residency. I have made multiple contact touch points to let them know that I am not receiving the service and no one has responded to my call or text messages. I have also received unfulfilled confirmations that they would send out someone to ensure there is service at my home and to this date 4/21, no one has showed up. I have file a police report, contacted the *** (complaint ID **************** and my bank on multiple occasions. No results from contacting my bank or Volt Solar Solutions. I am submitting this complaint to the BBB because I have not been provided the services that were agreed upon through contract.Initial Complaint

A sales representative walked in and convinced that there we can get the solar installed when we are ready, since we are looking to purchase a property and I didnt want any hard pull on me. He that they only be any and yes I did get an cr inquiry on me.They took signatures and got the money from Good Leap. I was not ready for installation they said we can delay and they went ahead and install it so that they get paid. May be they changed their contact numbers and now they refused to return any form of contact since (call, text, email). They do not have real office or may be even real identities I guess. *** who calls him self the owner is such a pathological liars, every word from his mouth is a lie. I have been having a dummy solar panel, I guess on my roof from last 1 1/2 month that is still not turned on moreover Volt is supposed to fill in an application and submit to ************ which they dont care about, since they installed something on my roof and they got paid. All I need is them to have my Solar panels up and running before I get billed.Initial Complaint

In February of this year, 2024, the business installed solar panels on my home. Within the contract and the verbal assessment provided by the sale representative I was advised I would get a new water heater, smart thermostat, blown in installation, a 12 month rebate to cover the cost of the system for the first 12 months, roof replacement 7k for minimum2 years, and solar attic fan. The total amount I was advised I would pay each month is $171 but received a statement that the amount would be $194 instead. I have been having issues with the panels having low production and as a result I am still having to utilize fpl and is getting billed from them also which I was told would not be more than $30. I have reached out to the corporate number ************ multiple times which states to leave a voicemail and I would receive a call back within 24 hours but never do. I've sent emails to them as well as the owner without response. I have also called the owner ***************** and the sales representative ***************************** without success. I was advised by the owner that he'd call me back but he never did and every time I call now the number is blocked. I have even reached out to the technician ****** who installed the panels so no longer responds also. I have not been able to get any kind of help. I have noticed the owner views my social media on days I try to contact him. I have even received a fine for $100 that they said they would cover as well because prior to installment I informed them my HOA required an approval before the job was done. I have attached my many attempts to contact them and the contract with them. I have called them in total more than 40 times for help.Initial Complaint

-Volt Solar installed solar panels on my home in 5/24/2022 -The entire project was financed through GoodLeap financing for solar loans. the loan total is approx $74k -This business is required to install products safely, legally and up to code as licensed and insured electrical contractors -My complaint is that it took 8 visits to pass inspection and now in 2024 we are selling our home complete with said solar panels. The home inspector flagged an issue with the electrical panel. A licensed and insured highly reputable electrician came to the home and determined major "life safety" issues with the wiring that was done when circuits were rewired from my electrical panel to a critical load panel for the solar panels. I notified Volt Solar and they came out and assured me that the issue was fixed however the electrician and the electrical inspector for the city have come out and stated that this issue is not fixed and I still require $7,000 worth or electrical rewiring to make the electrical safe for my home and to be able to move forward with the sale of my home. Volt Solar has since stopped returning calls and emails and only replied once I threatened legal representation but they are refusing to do the work that needs to be done. I am having to pay to have the work done which I should not have to do as they are responsible to safely install their product and I am seeking repayment of the funds I am having to pay to get the job done correctly.Business Response

We provided a complimentary inspection of the system and confirmed that it is installed exactly as it was for the inspection with the City, which had passed and confirmed that the system is installed to code.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
the house is the same as it was at inspection however the city electrical inspector and the inspectors and the electricians say that although its the same it is UNSAFE because neutral wires we NOT run to the new panel and this is a safety issue.
The city is not willing to get involved at this point but it did not pass inspection without issue from the start and there were four different inspectors that saw the system looking at different parts each time. Regardless it is unsafe and needs to be remedied I didnt wire the system and the licensed and insured electricians that installed it should be responsible for correcting the issues.
Sincerely,
