My car has has problems with it since day one and they have not wanted to help me fix it there's only a 30-day warranty when I thought when you buy when you're paying on a car you're supposed to have at least a year warranty and now my car stops and go stop to go turns off turns on and turns off turns on and they don't want to do nothing about it but yet they want me to pay my car payment they do not have done nothing to help me with my car or even offer to I could trade it in and pay more on something else and I don't want to take legal action and go to a lawyer but if I have to I will because I'm not going to keep putting money into a car and also paying in my car payment and they don't want to help me any other place that I've went to it's a year warranty on a car that you're still paying on.Initial Complaint

I was contacted by ******* with ********** and was informed that they are now handling Bond Auto accounts and I have to have full coverage on my vehicle now or theyll repo it despite being told differently from Bond who I entered into a contract with. This company is also attempting to make me pay on a different payment schedule than what I entered into a signed contract and agreement with **** to do. I need help or guidance as to what my options are as a consumer where I wont be at risk for losing what *** worked hard for for over 2 years. I didnt make an agreement with this company so Im not comprehending why Im forced to deal with them in order to keep my vehicle.Initial Complaint

Vehicle paid off on 3/31/23. As of 5/24/23; Per ******* VIN Check, title still has Bonds Auto Sales as the Lien Holder & no record of them on my Equifax Credit Report. After several conversations with ******************** on this same day I was told that they report to Equifax every 1st of the month and that they have not sent the paperwork to transfer the title in my name. Equifax Representative confirmed that they have never reported any of my payments. Bonds Auto recommend that I submit the payment history they sent me & file a dispute with Equifax. Why would they recommend that? I cannot self report or file a dispute for something that not on my credit report. I just want my title & a higher credit score that *** earned. I believe all of this is clerical ************* should be rectified.Initial Complaint

I bought my vehicle in March 2022 I just realized the down payment of $1700 was not applied to the financed payment. I realized this on Wed, Dec 21, 2022 at 4:27 PM I contacted them via email and told them This is ******** it has been paid (the car note). I also noted a billing error on my account, and I want an investigation. Please put my account into bill error status.I did not get a response, including I emailed them again on Thu, Dec 22, 2022, 5:16 PM and asked to get my paperwork..again no response! I called them on Friday 23rd spoke to a lady in the office and she said she would email my paperwork....I never received it! Yesterday I received a threatening email This is ******** with Bond Auto Sales, please contact the office at *************,you're in default of your contract and have a past due balance of $210.00.acct #****** and at this time your vehicle is subject to repossession.I did reply, Tue, Jan 3, 5:55 PM (1 day ago) No Im not I sent you an email 2 weeks ago concerning a billing error with my account. Would like the lien holder removal request form. We paid them off and they are holding our title. We asked for the lienholder request form and we're told conflicting stories. I think that they are a nasty unprofessional business and I have reached out to an Attorney who informed us to file a complaint first and then if I need to hire one we will proceed. We are hardworking people who paid our debt and would like to be treated fairly. If more info is needed please let us know.Business Response

To Whom it May ******************************* customers just paid off the account on 12/2/2022. Per company policy, we must wait for payment to clear prior to releasing the title/lien.
I hope this clears up any misunderstandings.

I am rejecting this response because: *****'s staff received payment on 12/2/22. It appears they are holding what belongs to ** hostage. The title either way per ******* law it does not take ***** days to receive titles. I've attached the ledger to show proof of payment and the payment clearing.

I am rejecting this response because: some of the payment was paid with cash and the other with debit which was removed from our account. It seems you are trying stalling tactics to keep from providing us with the lien release. If the payment did not clear explain to me why your staff provided us with a receipt of proof of payment? Also why was our second set of keys released? Right is right and wrong is wrong and you know you are in the wrong on this. It's time to provide our lien release or title and stop holding it. It's against the law to keep the title if we honored our agreement in full. The *** feels this is a mess considering you ordered the title in June and have it in your office. They also could not understand why you did not provide the lien release. This situation makes no sense to everyone that we have reached out to. They all feel something is not right with this whole situation.
Sincerely,
***** And *********************Business Response

This verbal response was taken by BBB.
All parties received what was required and the lien was released and title received prior to the end of 2022.

Better Business Bureau:
Yes, the issue was resolved when the **************** became involved. Also we the consumer paid the $85.00 fee for the Title and not Bond Auto when they should have paid the fee.The issue should have been resolved within 14 days of satisfying the lien. Lastly, we are glad this is over and we finally have closure.
Sincerely,
The ***** FamilyInitial Complaint

This customer went well past 60 days past due on his account. We were left with no choice but to reposses the vehicle at which time we sent the customer his 10 days letter which clearly explains how to redeem the vehicle, tag and belongings. We secured the vehicle 8/11/2022. The customer did not reach out until 10/13/2022 well past the 10 day allowance.
