I purchase a front door from Armorvue in March 2023. When my *********** sat down w/ the sales associate, **** we picked out a brown door looking like wood w/metal rivets to be on it (see images below) for a total of $6600.00. Months went by & my husband received a call stating that the size of our front door was ONLY available in one door. (see white door below). **** never stated the door was going to be white, only the material was going to be different then the original. My husband had given the ok thinking the door was still going to be brown like we picked out in March and not be white. After it was installed I called the company to get the door painted brown to look like what we had originally picked out in the catalog with ****. Months went by. The first inspection failed & they said they couldn't paint the door till the door was inspected. It finally passed its second inspection with Pasco County. We still have a white door. They sent out a painter September 11,2023, but the painter didn't do the job bc he said he was unable to do the wood look on the door w/ the grooves in the door & the side panels. He provided us w/ another painter/company to do the job that he knew Armorvue had used in the pass to do painting. I contacted the company, (Wicket Door Specialist Reliable Maintenance) was able to get a quote of $750.00 to paint the inside & outside of the door. The quote was sent to Armorvue on September 25, 2023, and no confirmation to myself or to the painter has been done as of today 10/2/2023. Through this whole process, the company has been very challenging to work w/ to resolve the issues they created w/not measuring correctly in March before having us pick a door out. We were also given 12 months w/no interest to make payments. The interests is still accumulating on the financing. Which started in June after the inspection was passed. We shouldn't have to pay till the job is completed & what we wanted & what we picked out.

We have reached out to ************************* and agreed to paint the door at no additional cost.  She has agreed to our resolution.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I am just waiting for the action to happen to finally be resolved. As of today, October 5, ***** no appointment has been made for the painting company to come out next week or anytime for that matter to start/ finish the job. But I have been in contact with the painter again to try and get a date set up and informed him he would be receiving a check from Armoruver to pay for the job.

Thank you again for reaching and to the company to speed up this overdrawn process to have a door be the color we originally wanted.

    Sincerely,

    ***************************************

As part of the terms of sale of my condominium, I agreed to replace the entry door to the unit. I contracted with Armorvue for this work and dealt with ***************************. Attached here is the document indicating acceptance of the job and proof of payment.Months later, I was contacted and told that the job would nearly double in price. I had a telephone conversation at that time with ******, in which we reviewed the contract and noted there was no clause for price increase upon commencing work, but that I would happily acquiesce to a minor increase in order to advance this work. For weeks I received no communication and attempted to connect with ******. Upon my prompting, he declared that the job has now been rejected. This makes no sense based on the December communication which outlines in detail their plan for the work. All I want is for this project to be completed. I do not live in the area and have no means of independently finding a new service provider, and I have an obligation to the buyer of the property. Armorvue shirking their responsibility to finish this work reflects poorly upon me, and I cannot allow that to occur.

Upon meeting with the realtor, not the homeowner, we did a preliminary assessment and measured the door.  Our quote was based on the only door we offer; Fiberglass, residential with a 20-minute fire rating.  We later found out from the *** and code requirements, the door needed to have a 90-minute fire rating and be self-closing.  Unfortunately, we do not offer this product.  We tried to locate a door to help the customer, but this project is outside the scope of what we install.  We respectfully rejected the job; we did not accept a downpayment so there was nothing to refund. I would suggest **************** call a commercial contractor and advise them of the requirements needed so the job can be quoted correctly.

I am rejecting this response because:

Nothing about the rejection of this job was respectful.  I have communicated with the new owner of this unit, and we are both horrified by the lack of accountability this company is demonstrating.  This response also is in direct conflict with what the business representative indicated in his 12/1/22 correspondence.  Again, the only reasonable response here is for the work to be completed per contract.

    Sincerely,
