On 8/16/2024 i booked a hotel reservation at the Space Coastal Hotel ***************************************************** located in **********, **. Check in 10/09/24. Check out 10/13/24. I was charged $282.24 upon initial booking made on 08/16/24 through ***********. I had full intent on keeping my reservation until I was made aware of the expected hurricane (hurricane ******) on 10/06/24. ****** was expected to occur on 10/09/24. With this information in mind it was dangerous to travel, let alone stay at a local hotel. I canceled my reservation on 10/06/24 and filed a complaint with *********** to reach out to the hotel for a refund due to these dangerous and unforseen circumstances. *********** replied to me appropriately 24 hours later and informed that they have attempted to reach the hotel with no response and offed the option for me to reach out. I have sent one email, called 2x with a full vm and just recently left a voicemail, but have not heard a response. My request is to receive a full refund with no cancelation charge despite any hotel policies as my whole reason for canceling was for reasons beyond my control and being a result of an expected natural disaster with breif urgency.

The hotel general manager took my second day booking funds, and took my 100$ deposit after she told me I would get it back. She lied and she did this because I told her I was leaving the hotel and she she took my hotel key and I had to wait almost half an hour to get my belongings out of the hotel. The manager also stated that I was unable to come back to the hotel. First of all, the hotel has mold EVERYWHERE! There is black mold everywhere. When I told her this she kept my deposit and made me leave the hotel when I was already leaving. So now I have reported this hotel to every agency that can see the pictures I have of the hotel. Good thing I purchased insurance for this booking!
