On Thursday, June 27th, at approximately 3 p.m., I took my Maserati Levante through the ****** location of Lightning Fast Car Wash. I arrived home and noticed my shark fin antenna cover was missing. Since the car wash was my only unusual stop, I immediately suspected it had come off there.I called the car wash and spoke with an attendant, explaining the situation. The attendant reviewed the security footage and confirmed that the antenna cover was on my vehicle when I entered the tunnel but was gone when I exited the tunnel. He mentioned that he stopped the car wash and searched for the piece but could not locate it, promising to look again at closing time.My son returned to the car wash at closing time. The staff again searched for the antenna cover but could not find it. They told us they would take a closer look the following Tuesday during a deep equipment clean. In the meantime, I spoke with Maserati, they informed me that the antenna cover could not simply be reattached as the bracket had been snapped. The dealership provided the cost of the replacement part and the necessary steps for the repair and directed me to a specific body shop for the repair because of the in-depth work required.On Wednesday morning, I received a call from *************************, who informed me that they had not recovered the antenna cover. He attributed the incident to a vehicle defect, incorrectly stating that the antenna cover was taped on, he did not want to see the repair estimate. I asked if they had insurance to cover this, and he said no. He suggested I contact his friend at Electro Bake for the repair. Despite reaching out to this company in good faith, I have yet to receive a response. Maserati warned of further damage to the vehicle if it gets wet. Because of the exposed circuit board and receiver on my roof, leaving me without a vehicle to use. The lack of concern about the damage done and not wanting to take ownership of the damage is troublesome and irritating.
