I ordered a dumpster from Affordable dumpster rental and sent pictures and size of shed that i needed to take down and was told my the associate that a 20 yard shed would be large enough. It was not so I had to call for a second one and again was told a 10 would be large enough for my remaining items. I received to additional charges for weight and was told weight exceeded limit at dump totally over $600 in addition to three cost of two sheds which cost almost $1000. They knew the weight would exceed the limit and under sold me instead of giving me the largest dumpster in the beginning. The are crooks and swindlers and should have the rating downgraded. To Whom It May Concern:
According to our guidelines and many of other dumpster companies it is a true fact that a 20 yard dumpster will accommodate a 10x16 shed and other items if need be. I have attached the customer's agreement which covers weight allowances extensively. The invoices the customer attached to her complaint also gives specific information regarding the weight and days included in her rental. It also gives the amount it would cost should she want to keep the dumpster for any additional days over her 10 days included and what the weight would be should the dumpster contents weigh more. According to the customer's signed agreement the 20 yard ******************** was provided with the first *****lbs with the additional weight if any would be charged at $130.00 per1,000lbs. There is no way for weight to be determined until the dumpster is taken to a landfill in which it is placed on a certified scale. We hope this explanation helps the customer understand that in no way did we try to under sale her needs. The agent could only go by what was provided to them at the time of the call. A 10x16 shed which again a 20 yard dumpster can accommodate. Thank you!

I am rejecting this response because: I am not interested in getting money back from them I know I should have done more research on them and should not have trusted that they would guide me as to the best option. What I want is for this complaint to be placed in their file so the next person who looks into them sees how deceptive they are and doesn't trust they will advise them to the best option. I ordered a dumpster to be delivered and it was delivered on February 21, 2025. The rental was for a week and I thought it would be picked up on the 28th or 29th. I left on the 29th for vacation and came back on March 3rd and the dumpster was still in the yard. I texted the representative **** on the 3rd and asked him when they will be picking the dumpster up, he texted back but never mentioned that I needed to call them to have it picked up. Per the contract it states I could text or call to have it picked up and I texted **** on the 3rd and he did not advise that I needed to call. I feel as through this company intentionally do this to receive more money. They are trying to bill me $19 a day for 8 extra days when I actually contacted them on the 3rd. After reviewing the customer's account ********* the customer was charged 8 extra days @ $152.00, when the customer should have only been charged for 2 extra days @ $38.00. Our records show customer texted in on 3/5/2025 and her ********************** period ending on 3/2/2025, (day of delivery is waived as a courtesy). We have corrected the customer's account by refunding $114.00 to the card on file which is for the 6 days she was overcharged. A revised invoice has been sent to the customer's email and a screenshot of the receipt has been texted to the customer's number on file. Worst experience. I rented a dumpster for 7 days through another company that apparently subcontracts through Affordable Dumpster. I received multiple messages and emails that when I was done with the dumpster to call or text them and they would pick up and if I kept it past the date contracted it would be $19/day.... Which I had planned to do since my four year old had the flu all week so I needed a bit more time. Sounds great, right? When I got back to the house I was moving from and using the dumpster to clear out..... the dumpster was gone. No call, no text, just dumpster gone.I called, waited on hold and when I finally got through the woman on the other line was like, too bad so sad, today was your pick up day and the email and messages I sent were automated. ??????? I said, will that's a dumb thing to automate to send if that's not the case. I want the dumpster back, please, I'm on the last day of a move and had left a good majority that was going on the dumpster in a room in the house. She responded with it would be $250 if it hadn't been dumped or $479 if it had. I asked for her manager where she told me she was the manager and I said okay, well whoever is above you. She said there wasn't one. We went back and forth - never got a dumpster.I then had my dad call as he was the one that purchased the dumpster. He talked to a guy on the phone that said they weren't going to return the dumpster and he could pick it up whenever he wanted and then hung up on.Needless to say, I'm four days behind my move out day because I had to figure out how to get rid of all the stuff that I had planned on putting in the dumpster. I ordered a dumpster delivered to my property with a phone call before they showed up so we could make sure to move anything in the way. They just informed me that they tried to deliver it but couldn't because a trailer was in the way. They then said they were still charging me the full amount without ever delivering anything. So I prepaid $538.00 for a 20 yard dumpster for a week with 2 tons limit and they are keeping that. Per the contract, the drop-off and pickup area must be free of obstructions to ensure a safe and efficient delivery. Unfortunately, when our driver arrived, there was a trailer blocking access, preventing the delivery. As a result, a relocation fee of $250 was applied to cover the cost of the attempted delivery and the need to reschedule.
Regarding phone call notifications, while we do ask our drivers to call when possible, calls are not guaranteed for driver safety, as their priority is focusing on the road and maintaining schedules. We do our best to accommodate requests, but we cannot ensure that a call will always be made before arrival.
We strive to be as transparent as possible about our policies, and I understand this may not have been the outcome you were expecting. If youd like to reschedule your dumpster delivery, please let us know how we can assist.

We ordered a large dumpster for a couple of days to remove weeds and a few branches, nothing major.A nasty man delivered a small dumpster. I was told the price would be $388.00 However, after they removed the dumpster they charge my credit card an additional $180.00 .We rent dumpster all the time. I've never been charged so much for so little. I will be filling a complaint with the Attorney general of N.M.These thieves must be stopped from ripping off all their unsuspecting customers. I am writing on behalf of my wife ****** ****-******, we hired affordable dumpster rentals for a dumpster and agreed to a set price. We were only allowed 1000 lbs so we weighed everything that we put in and we only put in 796lbs of items. Affordable Dumpster Rentals is claiming that we put in ***** lbs worth of stuff. This is completely inaccurate and a scam. The landfill uses certified scales to measure the exact weight of each load, and the attached ticket was generated directly from their system at the time of processing. While personal scales may provide estimates, weight discrepancies can occur due to differences in equipment, especially with bulk materials. However, the landfill's measurements are the standard we use for billing purposes.
Per the contract, the first ***** pounds of weight were included in your rental, and we did pay for that portion on your behalf as stated in your contract. The additional charges reflect the overage for the weight recorded beyond this allowance.

I weighed everything on a portable industrial scale that is accurate and I only placed 796 lbs into the dumpster. Somehow 864 lbs was added after the time it left my property.. As far as abusive language, your employees are the ones that have escalated such behavior on their refusal to help with this situation and their disrespect towards myself. They ended up charging me over $1000.00 additional for over my weight limit. When I orginially rented dumpster I told them I have no ideal what trash weights. I been renting dumpster for 15 years and never have been charge for "over weight". I am in the remolding business for 15 years and never have paid extra for a dumpster. When I rented it over the phone I said to the person on the phone if I fill the dumpster with interior home debris and I don't go over the top of the dumpster with debris will I be charge extra. They ask me what I am putting inside the dumpster and I told them I gutting the interior of the home with bathrooms and kitchen and other household items. They said as long I don't go over the top I should be fine. for 15 years I filled dumpster with the same debris as this project and never been charge extra. I don't work in this area and that is why I didn't use my regular dumpster company.Its shameful how they deceive people. We ordered a dumpster in early December 2024 for drop off December 20th and pickup January 2nd. They dropped off the dumpster a day early without notice - they called us to ask if it was okay after the dumpster was already in the driveway and said we would be charged for the extra day. I called back twice during my rental period and confirmed my pickup date of January 2nd and also had someone remove the extra day of rental charge for the early drop off. No problem. Then January 2nd comes around and they dont come pick up the dumpster. The customer service *** tells me that they will pick it up within 3 business days. This is a big problem because that was not the agreed upon pick up date and I had other plans after January 2nd. They come to my home January 3rd unannounced - no call to let us know they were picking up that day or that they were on the way. They called one time about a car blocking the dumpster then took a photo, charged $250 to our credit card unauthorized and left. No knocking on the door to ask for someone to move the car, no nothing. This whole experience has been so predatory. Also, the manager ***** was the most unhelpful, rude, and predatory customer service agent I have ever met in my life. This dumpster company also provided a signed contract that we never signed - they just typed my husbands name on a line and called it a day. On 11/15/2024 I booked a 20yd dumpster with 2000lbs included in the price to be delivered 11/22/2024. i was quoted 478$ which was very reasonable in my opinion. The dumpster was intended to clean out the house my brother was renting from my mother. He left 1 reclining sofa, 3 dressers, 2 cheap bed frames made of thin aluminum, 1 table, 4 chairs, and an assortment of garbage. Conservatively, I'm estimating we put ************************** this dumpster. I called to have the dumpster picked up on 11/25/2024. It was picked up sometime the next week, and I didnt hear anything from the company until 12/18/2024 when they billed my card an additional 969 dollars for ***** lbs of overage in the dumpster. Immediately, this raised red flags for me because this is approximately 3 cars worth of weight that they're saying I put in a 20-yard dumpster. I thought of every scenario as to what could have happened to cause such a massive discrepancy. The only thing that truly makes sense is that they delivered me the wrong dumpster and billed me for someone elses larger load or something along those lines. There were so many holes in the floor of the dumpster that smaller heavier items would have fallen through the floor if someone where to have dumped in the dumpster after we used it.When I called to talk to someone about the issue, I was dismissed and told that they would verify the dump bill, and it would come back as a correct charge. I am rejecting this response because:I am not debating that we went over the 2000lbs, I would honestly say we could have even hit 4000lbs. The math is not there to support *****lbs over. 1 couch (400lbs) 3 dressers (200lbs x 3) these took up tons of space because we took the drawers out to make it lighter to move. 2 aluminum children's bed frames (150 x 2) 1 dining table with 4 chairs (300lbs) 1 desk (250lbs) 4 bar stools (50lbs x 4). My math is coming to 2050lbs for these things and i am highly exaggerating the weight on the items. Everything else was standard moving trash that got left behind. Pizza boxes, old kids toys. It is not possible for us to have put *****lbs worth of trash in the dumpster ontop of the 2050lbs I factored in. Like I said; I'm more than happy to accept that fact that we possibly went over the weight by 1000-2000lbs at most. You're telling me we manged to fit all that furniture plus the weight of 3 small cars in the dumpster when with just the furniture the dumpster was full. More than happy to drop all of this if you can meet me at a moderate agreement of overage. 969$ in overage is absurd.

I am rejecting this response because:Then is it a possibility that you guys mixed up my dumpster with someone else's who potentially used it for heavier material? Because at the end of the day this was a cleanup of stuff left at a house. Literally 2 rooms I'll say it until I'm blue In the face and someone listens. There is no way we put ***** lbs over in our dumpster. Can you review footage to prove that it was my dumpster?
