Attached below are a couple of picture of the rat infestations , I have told the landlord serval times and he has told me that he will not fix it and I would have to fix it my self or move out. I plan on moving out immediately but it is hard to find a place to stay with this market so it's taking me some time . I've spoken to pest control people and they've come out and told the landlord these are hazardous living conditions and the landlord shouldn't have allowed me to stay in the home until this issue was taken care of , he also said it need to be fixed immediately because the rat feces is detrimental to my health and can cause the following diseases Hantavirus , Lassa Fever , Rat-bite Fever, Salmonellosis and Bubonic Plague. Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/06/06) */ 06/06/2022 Dear Ms. Yovanovich This is the response to case #XXXXXXXX which is a complaint from our tenant, ***** ******. First of all, we have to tell you about us, we are very responsible and honest landlords who take serious care of our rental properties. Our tenant is our bread and butter so we work hard to keep our tenant happy. Now about Mr. ******'s complaint, most of it is not true. Mr. ****** has been a tenant for the last few months. Before Mr. ****** moved into our party address 9607 N. 12th St., Tampa, FL, 33612 we did total maintenance of this property which includes detailed cleaning, new paint, Inspection of electricity and plumbing and fixes if it was necessary. Also, pest control and termite inspection were done. In fact, this house has no termite and pest control issues because this house had tent fumigation just a year ago. Which gave us a lifetime warranty for termites. During the pre-rental maintenance, we do not see any rodent problems on this property. After Mr. ****** moved into our property a month later he complain about rats. After receiving his complaint about rats we send out our maintenance man right away to see the situation and he found that inside Mr. ******'s house there are moving boxes all over his house which is full of goods also found open food and food containers scattered over and this environment will invite rats into your house. Perhaps we consider, that Mr. ****** brought the rats with him. Long story short we send out a professional rodents control company for the inspection. The inspection report suggests that there is a hole and which a rat acceded and made it into the house. To seal all of the access and control the rodents we have to vacant the house immediately. We ask Mr. ****** to have him relocated to one of our properties nearby so we can take care of this problem on this house. But Mr. ****** rejected that property and said that he will find another property. He want the security deposit back to him, so we promised that we will give him the Securtity deposit back to him as soon as he moves. Now he goes to complain to BBB that we make him stay on this property. In honesty, we want to help move him out of this property immediately so we can solve the problem. We are humbly asking your help to advise Mr. ****** to vacant our property immediately and give him his security deposit. We dearly appreciate the help of the BBB to resolve this situation. Sincerely Rahima *****
