I am seeking assistance with an Klima Control AC Unit purchased 2020 with a 10 year warranty I purchased a brand new Klima Control AC Unit. The unit came with a ten-year warranty (Serial number: *********************. Less than one year after installation, the functioning of the unit became inconsistent and a cause for concern. On November 17, 2021came uncomfortable warm for ******* heat. I contacted a technician to assess the problem and was informed the gas was low so he added gas and the issue was temporarily resolved I was charged for the gas that was added. On July 4, 2022 Several weeks later, the unit reverted back to the problems listed above and a technician had to be called again. On the second visit, the technician reported the same issues low on gas and resolution, charged a fee for service. Several weeks after the second visit, the same issues arose again. During this visit, the technician suggested adding a sealer to stop the leak or replacing the coil. He said replacing the coil would cost $250 for labor in addition to the $145 warranty fee. I contacted the company directly at *************) to see what assistance could be offered through my year warranty and was informed there would be a warranty of $145 dollars along with the fee for service my technician would charge as the warranty only cover equipment. March 26, 2023 my house was not cooling, and gas needed to be added again !!! I am confused and concerned about this response because the unit has functioned poorly since installation. I was not able to use the unit for a full year before the problems occurred so it would appear that this was a manufacturer issue and that I am baring the cost for it Any assistance would be welcome as the summer is approaching quickly and the cost of these repairs has been negatively impacting my household and the heat is significantly impacting my family and dog.
