    I was charged a toll fee and was not aware. Not only did i get charged without my consent but they also provided me with a vehicle with roaches which my 4 month son was exposed to this which is not only disgusting but a hazard. When i return the vehicle i told the employee and he didnt show remorse or interest of the situation at hand.

    We rented a car from *** and prepaid through a 3rd party before our trip. When we got to counter to get card we gave her a card and DECLINED the extra insurance. We then signed a bunch of signatures on the machine. When we got sent the statement yesterday upon returning they charged us 302$ for the extra car insurance. We specifically said no as we always do! They repeated and said sign to decline which is what I thought I was signing. Turns out they had me sign to approve it instead. It was either shady move or innocent mistake however the 300 is still on my credit card.12/17-12/26 Fox Rental Car counter in ***********

    I am writing in response to an abysmal customer service experience I received on the very early morning of October 18th, pursuant to our reservation with Fox Rent-a-Car at the ******************************** in ***************, **. Despite our having a confirmed reservation, when we arrived at the facility in that early morning hour, we were told by the agency that it had no car for us and had run out of cars. The representative (who gave us a fake name), was very unhelpful, claiming there was nothing he could do, and that his manager was not available. He turned us away. At that time, I called your Fox's customer service number and was assured that we could take an **** to our destination and back to the facility the next day to obtain a car, and that our **** expenses would be reimbursed by Fox Rent-a-Car, due to our inconvenience. Hence, we did that, and we were able to finally get our car on the next day, October 18th in the afternoon.I have since followed up multiple times with Fox Rent-a-Car regarding the reimbursement for our **** expenses, totaling $130.20. I have been assured by ******** corporate billing representative, *******, that I would be reimbursed by the West Palm Beach office per her email on November 4, 2024. However, to date I have still not received any such reimbursement, despite the multiple times I have followed up (as recently as December 2, 2024).

    I am pleased to report that I received a check in the mail today for the promised reimbursement from Fox Rent a Car.  Hence, I respectfully withdraw my BBB complaint against the company.  If you need anything further from me, please let me know.

    Letter attached has more detail. I rented a car for 7 days from *** via online purchase through PRICELINE for the start date of 8/29/24. I paid with my **** ***** $164.61. Upon pick up I added a 2nd ****** to the contract and pre-paid 1/2 tank of gas. I was told there would be an extra charge and that i would be billed upon return. Later, I needed to extend the contract for 4 more days--until the 9th of September. -- I called, and that transaction was billed at $288.38. It included many taxes, fees and extra charges. Upon return of the vehicle, the credit card was billed another $165.00. I called for an explanation.I finally was able to reach ****** at ***, but he stated that he did not have a receipt for the $288.38 that i had paid. therefore, we could not continue to discuss the issues of overbilling that were of concern to me -- i over paid for taxes, fees, and 2 extensions of the contract and also i believe there is a discrepancy in the amount billed for the 2nd ******. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told someone would call me back-- they did not. I would like a review of my claim and the over payment to be credited back to my credit card.

    ON 3/5/24 I rented a car from Fox Rent a Car @ ************************************************************************** for 35 days & the total estimated charges were $1,537.81. On 3/6/24 they charged my credit card $1,118.47. I returned the car on 4/9/24 @9;33 a.m. and they gave me a SUMMARY OF CURRENT CHARGES on which the very bottom line states the Total Charges (On that day) were $1,118.47. I asked " TWICE " Are those the correct total charges?? And Twice I was told yes!! A week AFTER I returned home I received an e-mail from ***************************** saying I owed $419.34. I sent her a two page typed letter & 6 exhibits disputing the request and I don't believe she even read them. she will not let me speak with her Manager *************************. I am being stone walled and she cannot make the decision to dismissed the $419.34 which is what I am looking for. She is a supervisor in Accts Receivable and reports to Mgr. *************************.     Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint submitted by ******************************* regarding the rental agreement PBI-20476.  I show that this customer had booked a rental for a period of 35 days for a booking price of $1306.16.  The customer added a platepass option at pick up to cover all tolls during their rental for an additional $12.99 per day, with the additional added item the total of the 35 days was $1537.81.  Attached you will find the signed rental agreement with the agreement of this rental total.  Upon return of the vehicle the customer issued payment of $1,118.47 leaving a balance of $419.34 on this rental.  After numerous attempts to collect the debt on this rental, the customer was sent to collections.  

    At this time the renter does still owe the $419.34 due on this rental, please see attached invoice.  We do suggest that they contact the *** agency to make payment at **************.
