I am filing a complaint on Planned parenthood and requesting the $154 fee I paid to be refunded back to my credit card. let me explain, first of all they overcharged me this $154 fee. I am unemployed, homeless and have no income I told them this and yet they billed me $154 anyways. next and most important, I have called this ************** location at least 10 times asking for my pap exam and hpv results. ***** has returned any of my calls. they keep telling me the nurse that did my exam will call me, she has NEVER called me. I want this $154 refunded back to my discover card immediatlyBusiness response

The above named patient received services on 1/12/2024 the ************** office. The $154 was payment for the visit fee and another test (due to confidentiality we will not disclose the type of test). We have attempted to contact patient on numerous occasions and left messages. There was also a balance of $125 that we have removed from her account. I have sent a message to the patient via the patient portal explaining in detail the cost and charges for the visit/services. I have left me contact information in patient portal to contact me to discuss further if needed. Due to confidentiality reasons I cannot disclose itemized cost of the visit and other services.

10 November 2022, I visited Planned Parenthood in Tallahassee for a Pap Smear and Birth Control Pills. I was given a quote for this visit approx ****** USD. The doctor refused to complete the pap smear, despite saying its essential- she said she didn't feel like it. The next day I returned to complain to the management. I was seen and given the pap smear and a prescription for birth control pills. I was charged again for my second visit - despite the problem I had with the practioner during the first visit. This is something I have a serious problem with. In addition, I have have now received an e-mail from planned parenthood demanding more money - despite that I have NOT returned for another visit. I would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced during your visits at the *************. I know how frustrating this must be. I was able to gather some information and wanted to share with you. On 11/10/2022, the charges were for the visit fee only. The care provider also sent a prescription to the pharmacy. On 11/11/2022 when you returned, the charges were for the services you received only; no visit fee was billed to your account. The manager made the decision to not charge you because you were there the previous day. Confidentiality is extremely important to us, so I have chosen not to list specific services received. I will be more than willing to discuss via telephone. As for the balance due amount you received after your visit; this was an error on our part and have been removed from your account. Again, my sincerest apologies for the challenges you experienced during your visit.
