1 starI utilized them for a move from Texas to Colorado and the process was riddled with bad customer service. I put a deposit down to lock a rate in January for a move in May. In May my agent told me the price went up $1500, meaning the incentive to put a deposit down was a lie. I was held hostage to using them due to timing. The only employee they provided was the truck driver. All movers/packers were contractors hired as day labor. I caught them sitting on my boxes and playing around with my belongings multiple times. My move coordinator had no clue when my belongings would be delivered. She texted me multiple times giving me the wrong dates, and I had to correct her. They caused significant damage to the property we moved into, putting a hole through a door, banging walls, door frames, stairs and railings. My first adjuster ignored dozens of emails and calls from me until I threw a fit to their supervisor, at which point they sent someone to look at the house, who agreed and scheduled the work to fix the damage. This process took 2 to 2.5 months. The driver admitted that a "parts box" that had screws for furniture, power plugs for TV's, etc. Was clearly missing. In addition, it turns out boxes were not indexed at our house, as they turned up at delivery without labeling or being listed on the manifest. As we unpacked we have found that at least 3 or 4 unmarked boxes did NOT make the trip, totalling about $1500-$2000 worth of lost property. My claims adjuster says that since I signed the paperwork at point of delivery, they don't have to reimburse me for any of the missing things, even though they weren't documented for the move, and therefore we could not possibly determine they were missing when I signed, but he is willing to be a nice guy and offer us $500. These companies are a sham. They are not willing to work with or help make anything right. I am sure I could have done better hiring my own labor. Look anywhere else for better service for your move.Review fromKenneth R

1 starUnprofessional Thieves We have moved many times and this was by far the most negative experience we have had. Getting a set schedule was nearly impossible, *******, the representative we met with for the walk-through lent no support throughout the moving process after assuring us he would. The overuse of packing paper to individually wrap items such as a cheap metal can opener or plastic hair clip was infuriating to see. Clearly, they were trying to use more boxes to up their fee. The timing and lack of follow through was one thing, but having jewelry stolen from our daughter (some items wouldnt be worth a dime at a pawnshop, but the sentimental value was exceptionally deep and irreplaceable). At least ten of my husbands watches were also taken and this is what puts Mayflower at the bottom of the list for us.Review fromSusan S

1 starMayflower Moving is a scam! You will not receive all your belongings and the ones you do will be broken and damaged. If I could give 0 stars I would Grab a snack, itll take awhile to explain all the reasons not to use Mayflower Moving. I provided a complete list of items to be moved from ** to ** down to the garbage can and increased the number of boxes/totes by at least 20 to be safe. After I paid the deposit a few days later I received an email with less than half the items I provided, so my cost was doubled. Knowing now I was being scammed, I wanted out but would lose my hefty deposit. So, I pushed on, what else could go wrong? Well, I never received the call the day before with arrival time so I called them. After a minimum of 10 calls, I got someone to answer. The driver ended up calling me saying he was stuck in a snow storm on a job in MD. I looked up weather in all areas of MD and the lowest temp I found was 50 degrees. I had to extend my lease for them to get there and for me to have time to properly clean after my things were removed. Two drivers eventually come and break things within first 5 minutes and act like I packed them broken inside bubble wrap when I stood there and heard them break them. They told me my 300$ tip wasnt enough if i wanted my furniture wrapped which was part of what i had already paid for twice since i was billed twice for more than half of my belongings. I had all my things moved to a storage in ** where its been for 1.5 years. I had a legit moving company move me from storage to my new home. When I got all unpacked, Im missing so much stuff even furniture!!! Lost furniture boxes of clothes/linens and lots of broken and destroyed furniture and belongings. My very favorite table,GONE. Family items passed down generations, GONE. Mayflower is the worst. You will be scammed!! Im not sure how they are still in operation but I will do my best to spread Mayflowers scams to the masses!Review fromJoshua K

1 starWorst experience of moving in 63 years of my life. Not on time, too expensive, not careful in moving the delicate items, rude customer service, no professionalism in handling the damage claims. This company needs to be put out of the business to do any good to the public. Don't go with this company for your moving. This company should not be given an accreditation.Review fromGary W

1 starI just tried to get a quote from them and the "Scheduler" was rude and lacked customer service. I can only imagine what would happen to my personal items - if I entrusted Mayflower with them. I would never use them.Review fromLamantha R

1 starThis company is as far from professional as you can get! They lie, scam & over charge the customer! Over the top use of ********* was overcharged for empty boxes & unused boxes. I was intimidated over the charges I disputed. I'm elderly & disabled & this company took full advantage of it! I was told it would be ******* to move me from my two bdrm apartment about 3 blocks & then hit me for ******* & left half my furniture in the apartment. I'm beyond livid!! Don't deal with this absurd scam company!Review fromSteve K

1 starDO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!We signed up in April 2022 to move furniture from ******* to ****. We were assured that it would be delivered within 21 working days. That did not happen! 36 days later, when we were out of town, they were finally able to deliver it. Because they did not provide any estimated delivery time, a neighbor had to meet them and pay cash on delivery. Fortunately our neighbor is a good friend and had the cash to pay.In addition, our 7-foot tall oak bookcase was lost and never found. Finally, after months of searching, they think it went to *******. However, they have never delivered it. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY !!!
