Thank you for your feedback. We take all reviews seriously and strive to provide the best possible service to all our clients.
      In response to your concerns:

Account Access: We provide all of our clients with access to a secure portal for the purpose of uploading their legal documents. Your account was temporarily restricted because of an upload of 300 personal photos, which is against our terms of service. Our platform is not designed for storing personal images, and such uploads can impact the experience of other users.

Bylaws: Were more than happy to make additional edits to Bylaws. However, if weve already prepared them and theyve been approved by the client, if they come back at a later date needing additional revisions or work done, we do have to charge for those services as they were outside of the original scope of services we were hired to perform.

False Services: We have never provided false services to any of our clients. All of our attorneys are licensed and experienced with excellent professional reputations. We have hundreds of client testimonials that can verify the quality of our work. Our approval rate for our filings by the ****** is independently verifiable.

Completion of ********************** we were hired to perform have been completed. We keep copies of all of our work within our secure client portal and our clients have access to this to avoid any confusion. The filings are also able to be accessed by state and federal agencies as further proof of services rendered.

Service Charges: Unfortunately, we are not able to offer free services because we believe in paying our dedicated team of employees competitive salaries that allow them to enjoy more than a living wage. Our fee structure is transparent and communicated clearly at the beginning of our engagement. We have a signed contract on file which clearly outlines the scope of services we agreed to perform for the fee paid to avoid any confusion. Any charges incurred are in line with the services requested and provided.

Accessibility: We are committed to supporting all our clients, including those with learning disabilities. If there were any shortcomings in how we assisted you, please reach out to us directly so we can address your concerns and improve our services.

Client Support: We have made every effort to provide you with accurate information and support. With the request of only communicating with you through email, we have recorded all emails. We sent multiple emails that state what was paid for and what work was completed.

We value your business and are dedicated to resolving any outstanding issues. Please contact our support team directly so we can work towards a satisfactory resolution.

      Thank you for your feedback.
We understand your frustration, but I want to clarify that we did already complete and submit two ***** applications as agreed.
Its like when you hire a lawyer to represent you in courtyou pay for their expertise and work, but no one can guarantee the judges decision.
Similarly, while we put our best effort into crafting and submitting your ***** ************* we cannot control whether the foundation selects you for funding.
This was clearly explained upfront and is outlined in the contract you signed.
In fact, to make sure there is never any confusion we had you initial by that exact clause.
Since we completed the work as promised, it wouldnt be fair to issue a refund.
However, were always here if youd like to discuss the process further or explore additional funding opportunities.
Wed prefer to resolve this by speaking directly with you rather than going back and forth through responses.
We've tried contacting you multiple times and still haven't heard back.
Feel free to reach out to us directly to discuss further.

Detail of the issues addressed. Date of the transaction The amount of money I paid to C******* Law Firm was $999 The business is committed to serving the community. In writing a grant proposal and I had to provide information through writing. But I was under the belief that the company writers would have written a proposal that would have influenced grant funders. In this case, the proposal speaks about ***** Charity Projects when it should have been ************ and word by itself that states TALKS, Inc I do not have a ****** **** I have a ********* ***. The writing is just misleading. The company fabricated their stories on many occasions suggesting a couple of months and the assigned staff would complete the proposal in two more months, so I confronted the firm repeatedly and to "be told" that the "staff" was no longer working with C******* law firm. There was a lot of misleading statement that I didn't expect the law firm nonprofit to make. I paid my money and got the runaround. If I didn't call the firm, they wouldn't "make" the initiative to reach out. Then they start to avoid my calls. And the list goes on. I had to make a report to show them that they can't "treat people unfairly" plus when they paid you to do their work. The nature of the filing is that I was ignored and taken for granted. The proposal seems to me there was no effort on the company's part to put the grant proposal in writing in a compelling-term by the C******* law firm to convince the grant funders, and with the error of ***** Charity Projects, ****** **** ( ********* *** ) I corrected their mistakes. And it was done by "Shanette Willford", to be incorrect. Wrong information about my nonprofit- ********* ***. If they can't fix the issues, I need my $999 refunded.

This is a response on behalf of C******* Law Firm, PLLC to the statements made to the BBB by ***** ********.

The statements that Mr. ******** wrote in his BBB complaint are simply untrue.

C******* Law Firm is a respected law firm that has spent the last decade building a positive reputation in the community and it prides itself on this reputation and its strong relationships with its clients.

Mr. ******** hired our law firm for matters which the firm will not disclose pursuant to the attorney-client privilege.

C******* Law Firm returned every call and email Mr. ******** ever sent in a timely manner and reached out to him directly on multiple occasions to no avail.

C******* Law Firm filed all of the documents he hired us to file, using the information he provided us in writing. He approved each document before submission.

It is our hope that Mr. ******** would update his comment to accurately reflect what has truly taken place regarding this matter.

Because the statements are false and defamatory, C******* Law Firm respectfully asks that the complaint be dismissed and closed within the BBB’s records.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

      Sincerely,

      ***** ********

The Law firm C*******, has been working to get the ******** grant funding that took them months and if not a year now. I did not know what is going on. I had to call them they kept changing different staff.  And making promises that they would call me or send me documents the same day which result in me receiving documents the next day. Either they have too many clients and or taking too much, so they can't keep up. Or they are doing something unlawful. There were people who were on the list with me maybe they have already got their grants. I have a sick eye, so I am trying to keep up with reading this and responding.

It was around the time that I sent out a letter to the BBB that I received an email from Scarlett the grant proposal manager. What I wanted is for C******* Law to do the work they were asked to do. The grant letter I was told from the last person who worked with me that he needed to write better and that she was going to correct it still the proposal letter came back the same. Nothing was corrected, And I had made correction before and send it off still they didn't use that the reach to me to give them additional information still that they show no sign of adding my updates. It has been a long back and forth process. All that this does is holding me back to have to deal with this situation. While they got paid $999.00

So going forward what I paid for the proposal that was told to me, I can use for other grants proposal in the future. The budget I was told that the lay-out was incorrect and so Shanette W******* said she would work on the upgrades. And she promises to get to me when she said she would. It did go and she promised. I have worked with Kayla N******, Scareltt S*****, Now Shanette W******. They kept changing people to keep you back from completing your grant proposal. Along with Audrey K C*******

BBB They said they were going to send off the grant proposal that what they said and Shanette W******* said she would fix the budget still at the time she gave the budget that needed fixing. SO I am trying to understand how they operate.

I do not have time to tell a story on them, they are human being they just have different agenda.

We have received your complaint through the Better Business Bureau regarding the services we provided to you. We take all complaints seriously and are committed to addressing them promptly and professionally.

We would like to begin by stating that we are a reputable business that values our customers and takes pride in the quality of services we provide. Our team has helped over 7,000 clients nationwide, and we have hundreds of video and written testimonials from satisfied customers to demonstrate the quality of our work.

Regarding your specific complaint, you alleged that our professional grantwriter did not refer to your program as ************. This is not true. On 6/13/2022 date, you completed our New Matter Form and listed the name of your program in writing as “********.” You did not authorize us to include “.org” at the end of your name. As such, we did not include it as we do not include any information without the prior approval of our clients. We will not attach your New Matter Form to protect the privacy of your organization’s information but will produce it for review to the BBB and to our attorneys to address the unfortunate misrepresentation taking place in this submission.

You allege that we “misled you” and “fabricated stories.” This is not true. All of our calls are recorded and all of our emails and communications are documented in your file. We have never misled or fabricated anything to any of our clients. Upon hiring our firm, we provided you with a welcome email outlining our entire process and we follow that system consistently for every case.

You allege that our staff was no longer at the firm. This is true. Our former grantwriter left to pursue another opportunity. However, we promptly reassigned your case to our new professional grant writer who reached out to you on 11/9/2022 with your completed application ready to be submitted.

You shared that you “got the run around” and that we avoided your calls. This is not true. We have over 29 documented email, phone call and text message communications with you regarding your case. See attached Exhibits A, B and C. The average client has 10 communications regarding their grant as this is a straightforward process. That is 3x the average communication and all were prompt.

We also would like to note that we did have to enforce our "abusive caller" policy and request that you communicate with us in writing because you became aggressive and threatening toward our staff for no reason at all.

You allege that there was “no effort” by the company toward your grant application. This is not true. We have a very professional skilled grant writer on our team who has successfully written proposals for many clients. Just this month alone, one of our clients received a $167,000 grant based on her work, which is well worth the $999 investment for her professional services. We have reviewed your file and your grant application and it was professional, well-written and it was not done “incorrectly.”

As of now, your grant application has been submitted, and all contracted promises have been delivered upon.

We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with our services.

We have offered to update the name of your organization on your grant paperwork - which is a reasonable remedy in the event that you mistakenly wrote the wrong name when providing your paperwork to our office. We understand that these mistakes happen.

However, we will not accept unfounded untruthful statements being made to tarnish our good reputation without merit.

Since we have tried to resolve this amicably to no avail, we are left with no alternative but to resort to legal action, utilizing all legal remedies at our disposal to pursue damages to the fullest extent allowed by the law and will be turning this matter over to our legal department for defamation, libel, and slander.

Once again, we appreciate your feedback and are committed to addressing any concerns you may have.

I paid $6000.00 to this company to conduct name searches and upon verification of name availability, to then proceed to file for trademark registrations with the USPTO. Chisholm Law Firm claims to have a 100% success rate when filing for trademark registrations. I am fully aware of covid pandemic setbacks and it has been over a year and I’ve received responses from the USPTO that three of my four trademarks has been rejected and refused registration which contradicts this law firm’s claim of having a 100% trademark filing registration success rate. I have been reaching out in several attempts to speak to an attorney but have only received emails that makes no sense because their email responses appears to be automated and doesn’t pertain to the actual trademarks that I paid them to register. I am livid and don’t wish for anyone else to be ripped off or faced with this type of unprofessionalism. I should be fully reimbursed my total monies paid because I feel robbed because I am unable to speak to anyone other than the receptionist who is never able to do anything except relay a message to the attorney.

My name is *************************, I retained the services of your law firm in December of 2020. At that time an application to start my Non Profit and to register my trademark was submitted.I received no information on the status of the trademark, so I contacted my lawyer, *********************** in June of 2021. She informed me that no information had come from the *****. I had been informed that it could take up to 12 months to receive the trademark, so I was not concerned. However, in January of 2022, I decided to check the status of my application on the ***** website and found that an action had been issued in July of 2021. This action went unanswered for what now was almost exactly six months. When I contacted ***** about this, her response was unacceptable, nonsense that had nothing to do with the status of my case. She did, however, immediately answer the action.I decided to check the status again on March 15, and again, an action had been issued on March 3, 2022. I emailed ***** and I called the office to lodge a complaint. The above-mentioned attorney is no longer handling my case. I received an email stating this and asking if all of the requirements were complete for the formation of my nonprofit. However, no mention of the trademark.Today I check and my application with the ***** has been closed due to the neglect of the law office. This company spends a lot of time advertising their services. However, they cannot handle the workload.I am almost two years into this process, my application has been closed, they have been paid over two thousand dollars, and ABSOLUTELY NO ONE at this office cares that my trademark has not been obtained. I uploaded the last page of the contract to apply for the trademark and what is posted on the trademark registration website.

Chisholm Law Firm filed all of the legal documents she hired us to file. There has been no neglect from Chisholm Law Firm and the ***** has not closed ********************** file. The application is still live and is under review.

Our Managing Attorney reached out to ****************** and had a meeting with her to discuss the next steps. (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was incorrect about my trademark application being abandoned. However, my application approval has been delayed due to the way this law firm answers inquires sent by the ****** I did speak with the managing attorney, who assured me she would follow my application through to completion.
I am NOT satisfied with the overall service I received. There were errors made, and quite frankly, neglect on the part of the law firm. However, I am satisfied to know the name of the person who will be responsible for ensuring all actions from the ***** get answered going forward.
