on June 10th i had an appointment to change all the brake pads on my Ford Flex. I purchased the car there, it it has not been worked on by anyone but a Ford dealer. Everytime I've brought the car there they have tried to scam me. This day, they began a repair of replacing brake rotors without my consent. When I was approached by their service person they said my rotors were chipped and needed replacing and it would cost upwards of $1k for all of them. I insisted on seeing it for myself. I was surrounded by 5 employees insisting they were right. The rotors showed no abnormal, excessive wear, or breakage. I told them to put it back together and I would seek service elsewhere. they said they couldn't as the brake pads and calipers had been taken apart. One mechanic showed me the brake pads, they as well were not bad. They insisted they change them, i said that is why I came here in the first place and allowed them to put it all back together with new pads. I waited 5 hours as they dragged their feet, then they over charged me $150.00 more than the phone quote. So the final bill was $522.00 for brake pads, and would have been almost $2k if I hadn't doubled checked their lies. This is a direct attempt at defrauding me. On a previous visit for an oil change, they did an inspection (as is their standard policy). Where they found several issues and decided I needed an A/C overhaul. it was cold and working perfectly when I got there. I refused. Two blocks away, my A/C was blowing warm. I returned, and told them to put refrigerant in it, as they had obviously drained too much when 'testing'. they refused as it would 'over-charge' the system. I dealt with the warm a/c for two days until I put refrigerant in it myself, well within the green pressure indicator. It has worked fine for years since then. I'm reluctant, but they continually have attempted fraud on me. the car has had 3 recalls, and they act like there is nothing wrong. Lies and fraud.
