Technician told me after the fact, that they dont accept credit cards. Only Venmo, Zelle and cash. I argued this was not told to me when I scheduled the service. I sent him *****, he requested it go to his personal account. I then realized he gave me a price of $50 more than the promotion price. No one has called me back. I checked after and customer service confirmed they take credit cards and I saw after the fact that its advertised on their site, they take all major credit cardsInitial Complaint

29 January they came to my house to clean my dryer vent. They found a hole in my roof next to the vent from a previous contractor. THey took pictures and proceeded to repair and take finished pictures. They needed initially access to my attic which they did through my granddaughter's bedroom. THe second ****** who needed to look accidentally stepped on the ceiling of the room and cracked it. #1 the ****** that took pictures said his boss would send them to me. NOT #2 the boss set up a time 2 days from Jan 29 to fix ceiling. No show. I called and rescheduled...NO SHOW..called 3rd time...NO SHOW....called 4th time...NO SHOW. In meantime my granddaughter's room is full of clothes, etc and she suffers from great anxiety issues so this is not helping. This man is very short, full of "Oh shits". can you help me?Initial Complaint

Help needed to get my refund back from a ************************* in ******* The Dishonest and cheating Companys name is First One Home Services (********************************************************************). ************. Well, my name is ******* ***. I am a ******* resident and have been working and living in ** more than 10 years. On Sept. 8, 2024, my new air conditioner had a temperature of 85 Fahrenheit although we adjusted it at 77 degree. I ****** searched in a hurry and then I called First One Home Servicecompany (************) about my air conditioner institution. I told thefrontdesk lady that my home air conditioner was not workingproperly. ******, the front desk lady that day, told me that forthetrip and diagnosis fee, I would be charged $99 and if I wanted their company to repair it by makingit work for me, itwould add on butas to how much would be added, it would depend on the situation. I said OK. Thecompanysent its employee, *** (cell: ************) to check my air conditioner. It turned out that the "tech", ***, is a very unprofessional, untrustworthyand sly guy who secretly stole $180 from me shamelessly! Altogether he stole $279 from me, in which $99 was supposed to be the diagnosis fee and the $180 was the one he played a trick on me and cashed it later on. He did not even diagnose the problem so he is not even worth the $99. So altogether he stole $279 from me and could NOT make my air conditioner work at all. Please read the attachment for detailed description. Many thanks!Sincerely,HuihongInitial Complaint

On October 29th FirstOne Services was supposed to clean and sanitize our airducts for $99 for two units so a total of $200. When they arrived they told us there was mold growth and we needed a UV light installed and a deep cleaning for both our condos. They told us it would be $2,000 for both units to get back into good shape. We wrote them the check for their work. This company did not perform the work they were paid for. Deep cleaning was never done. They never even used the machine to clean airducts. They simply wiped our ceiling around the vent covers with paper towels. Left a mess for us to clean afterwards due to them rubbing the popcorn off our ceiling. I called back two days later to tell them our units smell is unbearable they came back and said they accidently put in UV lights that where to big and changed them for small ones. Once again i told them our units weren't cleaned. I've asked multiple times the type of sanitizer that was used due to the fact that our baby has had extreme allergies sense they have left. I cant get an answer of the chemical that was used. They sent me two different invoices to try and cover up their lies. I told them we needed to be refunded at least $998 for the "deep" clean they charged us for which was never done. I was told i could be refunded $400, after this company argued back and forth for days they finally agreed they would send a check back of the full amount. We never received the check after waiting over three weeks and now this company wont answer our phone calls. Only answered once we called from a different phone number and the "manager" hung up on us. This company is completely unprofessional and rude. They have left our homes with mold growth and still refuse to tell us what chemical was used or refund the check so the work can properly be done for the protection of our family from the mold growth. Now i can not even get in contact with this company again as it seems they have blocked our phone numbers.Initial Complaint

On November 11th, I called to book an appointment with this company. They offered a $79 duct cleaning and were running an ad on ******. After making an appointment, I backtracked and searched them again on ****** to make sure the company had reviews and was reputable. I could not find them on ****** (I.e could not find a physical address nor reviews), so I asked to called in to cancel. There are two people who answer the calls, and both appear to be in outsourced phone centers. One Indian woman and one Haitian man (I am giving a best guess here). I tried over multiple phone calls to cancel the appointment, and both continued to call and harass me about the appointment. I told them that the company is not shown on ******, no reviews, etc. The man was adamant that the company has just been posting in newspapers (red flag), and wouldnt stop about it. He would NOT let me cancel despite multiple calls in where I made it clear that I wanted to cancel and that nobody should come to my house. The next morning I got multiple calls from the technician trying to come to my house. I told him that I tried multiple times to cancel the appointment, and the call center employees refused. The man said I dont care, Im going to work out or something along those lines. I couldnt tell exactly what he said, he sounded Eastern European and I was struggling with the dialect. I dont know what the end game for this company is, but they need to be monitored. I think there is a potential scam at play here, that or at a minimum unacceptable business practices.Initial Complaint

The company advertised a $79 Dryer Vent Cleaning Special and we scheduled an appointment on 10/01/2024. The technician was a no show, reportedly due to a car accident, and his boss rescheduled him for 10/2. On arrival the technician appropriately did an inspection and noted that the dryer vent hose was kinked and the vent tubing to the roof was not sealed. He quoted a discounted price of $900 and although I realized the price seemed high I wanted the problem taken care of so I agreed. The technician stated that he completed the work and showed me a couple of pictures. He also stated that I had to pay by check unless I wanted a 7.5% ********** fee. Given the exorbitant ********** fee I paid by check. The following day I discovered that the dryer vent hose had been torn and that the vent tube to the roof was not sealed properly. I had another professional look at the job and he showed me that the dryer vent was not only torn but still kinked and that the roof vent tube was not sealed properly and that the wrong materials were used. The tubing sections were not secured together and the pictures I had been shown by the First 1 technician were misleading. Additionally, the technician never went on the roof to completely clean the dryer vent. My wife and I have asked for a full refund by phone and mail on multiple occasions but we have not received a check.Initial Complaint

I called this company to come clean my dryer vent. When tech's showed up said it would be 2200 ask if I just moved because all the boxes. They said the vents had never been cleaned and they needed to patch the vent in attic but because I was retired they would call there company to see if they could get a lower price they came back and said ****** and it needed to be done or my house was about to catch fire. They were here all of ************************************************************************************ the attic was a roll of tape and what looked like a paint can. I paid but after they left I started calling around and was told that I had been scammed there was no way that should have cost that much. i then called back to the company and questioned about the price and was told they would mail me a refund check of ****** because they had already deposited the check. I said how could that be the tech just left my home 30 min. ago and its Sunday. They said they would bring the check back and i can rewrite another which I did. This company tried to scam me and still I over paid for the service compared to other companies in the area. This was not an emergency call they set the time and day when I called in.
