Hello,I visited the clinic at Alpharetta Comprehensive Dentistry (270 **************** Suite 105 Alpharetta, ** *****) for a deep cleaning procedure. At the time of treatment, I paid ~$360 from my pocket and the rest was to be covered by the Insurance as the clinic communicated. The clinic confirmed that they checked with the insurance and the rest was covered.Later on, I received another bill for $384. Checking with the insurance it was denied. The clinic did not check with the insurance prior to the treatment and assumed that the claim would go through. As you can see the treatment was done on Dec 16 and I would have simply waited for 2 more weeks had I known that insurance would cover it in 2 weeks. In fact, I was advised to not wait and go for it immediately while I can use the insurance benefits before the end of the year.I already paid a significant amount from my pocket. I request the clinic to waive my charge and ensure that for future visits a proper insurance check is done.

The dental office provided me with expected charges before any work was done. The original charges did not match their invoice or the billing statements provided by my insurance company. I paid what they stated was my portion of the fees after each visit. Once all work was done and I reviewed the insurance company statement, I calculated that I overpaid by $80, It appears the dental office had charged me for fees that were not submitted to the insurance company or in the initial statement of charges. I am skeptical of their billing practices. I attempted to resolve the issue with the office 4 times. I advised them in advance I would be coming to their office on December 12th to review the billing statements. After I had the dentist look at an issue that was caused by previous work done, I asked to meet with ****** and was told she was in a meeting. I left a copy of my insurance companys billing document and asked that she call me. She did not call. I called again on December 14th and left a message to discuss the issue and again no return call. I called for a third time on December 19th and left a message and no one returned my call. I indicated in my last message that I would contact the BBB as well as my credit card company to dispute the charges. I have disputed with my credit card company and would like the BBB's assistance in obtaining the amount I overpaid.

My son was using this dentist when they were in network for the insurance I had for him at the time. My son recently returned to this dentist, and his dental insurance changed. I provided the office staff with the updated dental insurance information. Instead of them telling me that his new insurance was out of network, and giving me a choice to be seen there or go to a in network dentist. They saw him anyway so that they could charge me higher copays, and out of pocket expenses. When I called back to inform them that I would be canceling future appointments, and switching to an in network dentist to avoid their very expensive copays and fees. They refused to send me over his dental x-rays and dental records. They were just flat out rude about it, and have stop responding to my phone calls and email requests. This place has showed me that they are all about a dollar, and less about my childs dental care or whats best for me as a parent financially. I would not recommend using their services based off the experience I have encountered. They were not forthcoming, very manipulative, misleading, and unprofessional for dodging me and not being willing to give me my sons dental records.
