      1,300$ RENT MONEY. This North American place is not accredited by the BBB. If you purchase from them you will not talk to a real person. And may be purchased just paper. They want you to mail it, chance losing it and charge you more.

      money order was lost by the post office I had to repay the money order for 60. 00. Filed complaint with God awefull company and Now they want to take 25 from me for what. I didn't lose the money order they did. Now you making money off of me . Call and spoken to a ******* who was so rude I started screaming on the phone We not charging you anything the Bank is.       On August 12, 2021 I emailed Northern American Money Order Company and inquired how to cash or refund 2 money orders (One was 500 dollars and the other was approximately 200 dollars but I do not have documentation of exactly how much) that were both purchased and signed by me, ***** replied on August 13, 2021 with information of how to request a refund. This included mailing back the original money orders, a copy of the receipt stub, and a lost money order claim form, which I obliged quickly. On September 16, 2021 I emailed ***** inquiring about the status of my replacement stating that I mailed "the money order" back but, I did in fact mail both money orders and the form within a week of *****'s response on August 13th as will be confirmed by ***** later in this explanation. ***** replied on September 16 we confirmed the money order numbers and they claim that the refund was sent out the week before. I confirmed the address with them on September 17th and waited until October 5th to email them again to ask if it was possible to track the refund seeing as I still did not receive it, they told me that it was not possible on October 7th and I replied the same day asking if it was possible to request a new one seeing as months have gone by at this point and I had not received the refund. ***** did not reply and has not replied since. I sent a final email on October 22nd informing them that if I did not get a response or a refund I would be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

      I am the power of attorney over my husband ************************* III who is incarcerated in ******************* of corrections at buckingham correctiona facility. September 16,2021 he sent stop payment to this company and paid the ***** fee to do this. The persons who had received the money order deposited them in their bank account committing theft due to him clearly explaining to them to send back to the prison. On September 22 2021 again he sent North American more information about this refunding of his money orders as well as he had sent the fee for stop payment. This was all received on 10/22/21 so he has been informed. Now he had proof of purchase and all needed items to get this money refunded back to him and here is is February almost March of 2022 and nothing! We can not get anyone on the phone and when I email this place they tell me he needs to speak to the prison. The prison has done their job in this and still Thai North American money order company had kept my husbands money from him. I am fed up with the waiting game and wasting hours each day trying to contact this company. My husband needs his money orders refunded and they are way beyond the 45 days they claim it takes to complete this transaction.

      This letter is to respond to a complaint submitted to BBB of Metro Atlanta, ****** & NE ******* on 2/21/2022 and assigned ID of ********.

       

      ********************************* filed a complaint that North American Money Order Company had not addressed a money order issue with her regarding one of her ******** money orders. **************** indicated in her complaint that her husband, ************************* III, is incarcerated in the ******************* of Corrections at the ********************************. The ******************* of Corrections requires us to deal directly with **************** through the business office of the ******************* of Corrections.  ******************************* in the business office of the ******************* of Corrections Buckingham facility has been notified by North American Money Order Company that **************** would like to assist **************** with a money order issue.

       

      An email has been sent to ********************************* with this information.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      I have spoken to numerous individuals including the investigator within buckingham and being that I have power of attorney for my husband there is absolutely no reason for you not to be able to speak with me. And this is not concerning one money order this is concerning three which we he and myself informed the individuals who have stolen the ******* from my husband that they in fact needed to not cash them and send them to the correct department and included this information on September 7th. Prior to them depositing them into the savings account. I  also have spoken to **************** and she also informed me that you do have the authority to speak with me. Due to this being a criminal act and grand larceny as well. I will provide documentation to you as far POA. The receipts showing where they were deposited as well as screen shots providing that we in fact had instructed the two individuals to return the money. Also, are in the process of filing charges for stolen tax return as well totaling *******. As you can see this has been on going since last year, it is not something simple nor is doc able to handle this in the timely manner it should be addressed due to staffing issues. Furthermore, as I have disclosed to you already I have been told by everyone including above mentioned you can speak to me since  am the one who will be filing criminal charges regarding this matter if it is not resolved by giving my husband the refunded amount for all three money orders. This is not a matter of who can speak but rather you providing the refunded amount since he had in fact sent out the stop payment prior to this happening and doc and your company not taking action in a timely manner. Please let me know if you need receipt of his processed stop payment, screenshots of request to return as well as the poa which is by va code and written by an attorney as well, rather than jail house simple poa. And of course the copies of each money order being deposited into the savings account after my husband contacting you on stop payment as well. I will be more than happy to. But this can be resolved easily by returned his money back on the account with Buckingham. It should not be this difficult to address being all needed documentation is available.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID .********, , and find that Mediation is necessary. All he and myself are asking for is them to refund his money for the amount of ******* from the three separate money orders it is sad that it has to go this far even when youve taken the steps to ensure your return of funds from a company that claims to operate within the customers favor as well as a legally accepted way
