      This company used my information to apply for a home loan. Was never given permission to do so. Was trying to get a personal loan through the 1000 live check that was sent to me. Received a letter stating they applied for a home loan on my behalf. No permission was ever given

      The client called in and applied for the $1,000 consumer loan. Our representative pulled credit for the consumer loan (only through Transunion). We didn't move the client over to our mortgage side, nor did we pull his credit for a mortgage / home loan. That would have required a tri merge through all credit bureaus. The letter of denial the client received was for the consumer loan he applied for. We would be happy to explain further or discuss with the client if he would like to call in and ask for one of the managers.

      The credit company we work with sends out that letter automatically from a disclosure standpoint. Whether it's a consumer loan our home loan their format shows home loan on it. We only pulled the ** credit score. We have to pull all 3 bureaus to take a mortgage application. This client didn't have a mortgage application taken. Management would be happy to explain if they want to call in. We only pulled the ** credit score for the consumer loan for this client.

      We don't know what else to do to prove to the client that we didn't pull a mortgage credit report and only pulled a consumer loan report. I can see in my system that we didn't pull a mortgage report. He gave permission to pull his credit and we don't regulate how the credit score is figured out by the credit repositories. We've offered to speak on the phone with him also.

      my credit score dropped a lot because of this. And want it fixed. This company puts these fake checks out to get people to call to borrow money and then they try to apply for a home loan with them. Its nothing but a scam . This company has so many complaints regarding this process.

      I was prescreen by Milend and received a live check for $1000, deposited check into my account. One week later my bank rejected the check. Contacted Milend and was told the check was rejected because I didn't contact them to get an access code. I immediately declined the offer, felt that something ***** was going on. To my surprise I received a letter from Milend stating I was denied due to my credit report. I never gave Milend permission to run my credit, I never received an access code, I never spoke with any representative of Milend. They used my personal information on the back of the check to run my credit without my consent. Complete fraud...

      I spoke to **************** today and he's supposed to be calling BBB to w/d the complaint. He did receive a denial letter as standard protocol, but we never pulled his credit. Since he deposited the check w/o the approval code we had to w/d the funds and send him a denial letter. The denial letter we sent him shows there was no credit score pulled on his account. This complaint should be deleted from our record. Thanks!

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I received a call from a Milend Representative assuring me that they did not run my credit without my consent. For some odd reason the Notice of Adverse Action I received was not based on a credit pull. I was told I received the Notice because I had not received an acceptance code prior to depositing the check. As of yet I haven't noticed any negative reflection to my credit. I am satisfied at this point, however I do not feel comfortable entering any business dealings with Milend. Thanks so much for all your assistance with my complaint. I'll leave well enough alone. Thanks again.

      Back in late April 2023 I received a live check from this company Milend *** for $1000. On the back of check said call to get a code but it was a way for them to trick you into applying for a loan by denying you and then offer to apply for a refinance mortgage loan. I did, but before signing any paperwork I checked this company out on BBB to find out the reviews were very helpful and I declined the loan for that being a reason and I didn't agree with what the monthly payments would be. In May every thing should have been canceled. I received a letter September 26 2023 claiming they denied the loan for numerous reasons, which is not to my lacking. I don't want this on my credit. I thought this matter was settled back in May when it was canceled.

      Clients are prescreened for the small, personal checks based on the fact that their credit score is in a certain range. When they call in we need have to verify a few things to make sure the credit score is still in the acceptable range and the debt to income ratios are in line. These are unsecured loans and we have to verify the risk level is within tolerance. We've cashed millions of dollars on these live check, personal loans over the course of the past few years, but sometimes clients do not qualify. However, sometimes they do qualify for some of our other loan products and we discuss those with the client as well. We let the client know if they are approved or denied at the time of application. If they are denied we have to send something in writing in addition to verbally letting them know. In this case, we realized the denial letter wasn't sent out, so we mailed one out later than expected.

      Its a lie. I cancelled the loan myself. As stated before, the monthly payments were more than I expected therefore I cancelled! They called me and texted me numerous times to take the loan. I understand their policy. More of the reason for them not to put this on my credit. Their mistake for not sending it out in a timely manner.

      As we stated previously, we've cashed millions of dollars on these live check, personal loans over the course of the past few years, but sometimes clients do not qualify. If they don't qualify for the small unsecured loan, but there are other programs they might qualify for then we discuss them. It's not a scam or a lie. If they qualify for the check then we give the approval code and move one. We do apologize there was a delay in sending out the denial letter though.

      received a $1000 check by mail, like many others, called to get the "access code", was told my credit had dropped 60 points in the past month! What a SCAM!!! I monitor my credit and told the woman it had not dropped, to which she argued with me. I was told they could approve me for a refinance of my home to which I told them I was NOT interested, then received a hard hit on my credit. I was told I would be getting a call in a day or two which never happened. THIS COMPANY IS NOTHING BUT A SCAM AND THEIR PRIMARY GOAL IS TO PRESSURE PEOPLE INTO HIGH INTEREST MORTGAGE LOANS...LOSS LEADER CHECKS AS SCAMS...STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!! TERRIBLE

      On 9/11/23 this company generated a letter stating that the mortgage my wife applied for was denied based on her current credit score with Transunion, 626. The problem is the company states the credit information was provided on 5/30/23, and the first name on the letter is not my wife's name. This appears to be fraudulent attempt to take out a loan in my wife's (misspelled name). Today, I contacted MiLend, Inc. and they said someone would call me concerning this mater. No one called me, and it appears that someone has attempted to process a fraudulent loan through this company and they do not seem to care. I would like an explanation from MiLend, Inc. as to what is going on???

      They use a $1000 live check to bait you into a refi of your home. When talking to me it I was told my home and car would not be effected on their bill consolidation. When they sent the break down it certainly was. They use predatory lending methods to attract business. A clearly bait and switch tactics. If I was interested in bill consolidation I would check into a reputable company. Not one with so many complaints of bait and switch. I have all the paperwork and email between the company. They really need to be checked out.

      I received a $1,000 check in the mail from Milend, Inc. that I was going to use for important expenses and help make ends meet during the summer months as a teacher. After calling to receive my code to cash the check, the caller told me I could qualify for a lot more money, she just had to run a hard hit on my credit. She assured me she would call within the next day or so. A week later, no call. I had to look up the random number, call back, and wait for a return call to find out they couldnt even offer me the $1,000. Dont be fooled by this scam! Management called back days later after requesting. ******* was unprofessional and did nothing to address the issues. He told me my decent credit was terrible. Im not sure how someone with customer rapport like that is in management in this company. Im hoping someone more professional in management can contact me and help get me the money I need.

      Run from this place as fast as you can...beware if you receive a "Live Check" from them, it's just a scam to try to sell you other products they have. They will ding your Credit Report, and string you a long with a series of call backs for a BS $1000.00 check.

      This very same company re-financed my home a little more than a year ago, and I was approved for a $211,000.00 loan. And they are stating this for a $1000.00 loan? As I said, they are shysters.

      Milend, Inc. in **********, ******* is a scam company. After a HIGHLY suspicious transaction to cash a live check, I was given a loan for $1500. I called to get a pay off amount and paid over $1000 within 8 months, paying off the account. I received an email three months later telling me I still owed almost $200. When I spoke with someone associated with Milend, I was told I did not pay off the whole amount, which left $1.00. And that $1.00 had accrued interest and late payments. I have requested a paid in full statement after negotiating with the representative to determine a final pay off. Do NOT do business with this company.

      The client initially borrowed $1,501 plus the finance charges of $65.84, but only paid $1,500 back. She thought the loan had been paid in full, but still owed the $1 remaining along with the finance charges. We sent notices over a 3 month period, but she for some reason thought the loan was paid in full. She also had 3 late pay penalties and we waived all three of them. The client ended up paying the $1501 back along with the finance charges like the original terms agreed to do. There were no loan fees and we waived the late penalties. This is not a scam and in fact our personal loans have very low rates, with no fees.

      Milend gets personal information from people and makes promises they have no intention of keeping. I spoke with two people supposedly about this issue. Both of them gave me a different song and dance but no resolution on the issue.

      To our understanding the client received a game plan to help get her the personal loan funds and put her in a better financial position. ******* that talked with her tried to call her again to follow up but she wouldn't take the call. If she will take a call we would love to have one of our managers follow up with her to resolve any concerns on her end.
