Best Deal Movers came in and packed our belongs on June 25th, 2022. They were scheduled for 1:00PM - 3:00 PM - they ended up not arriving until around 6:00 PM without any communication about being late. We tried calling the office but because it was Saturday, they were closed. It took them 3 hours to pack most of the house. The left out 2 closets and when I tried to tell them about the closets, they said they would be part of the crew on Monday that would be doing the actual moving. The packing cost $685.25 (we were originally quoted $607.73). The movers showed up Monday, June 27th, 2022 on time and actually were great. However, it was not the same men from Saturday so they had no idea the previous crew had left things undone and were not prepared. They packed as much as they could but left ALOT BEHIND! and bc they had to try and pack items left the quoted time of 6 hours turned into 9 hours and we paid $1,772.47 (Originally quoted ********). Not to mention my husband I went to our old house the next day get remaining items behind to find a whole closet that hadn't been touched! I called the office and spoke to ****** and she seemed to be understanding but not willing to help or offer a refund of any kind. I then submitted a claim for damage to furniture, packing tape on our fridge and damage to walls on July 15th. I heard back on July 19th that they were reviewing the claim and asked that I remove my negative review from ****** and I declined. I am not being ghosted and have not heard from any one. I would like our claim to be processed. We paid extra for the below insurance option, there should be no reason that our claim is not processed. Option 2 (b) ($300.00 deductible)Declared Liability $40,000.00 Cost/$100 $0.43 Cost $172.00 And quite honestly I feel as though we are owed a refund on some of what we were charged, but I am confident we won't get it. So I would be content with just our claim being processed and us getting paid for repairs.

It is always disappointing when a move does not go entirely as planned. We apologize for the missed communication regarding the arrival delay and the additional packing. The office has been in contact with the customer regarding the claim and the repairs, and we have now received the photos that were needed in order to move forward. The claim and repairs will now be able to be completed. As with all our customers, we wish them well in their new home.

I am rejecting this response because:

It took them a month to request one picture and I have not heard anything about moving forward with the claim since then (August 22nd).

      Sincerely,

They have reached out and scheduled an appointment for one matter but not even begun to work on the other ones of damaged furniture and fridge.

I contracted with Best Deal Movers and Storage on June 1, 2022 for a move for my parents from *****************************, **. to ****************************************, **********, **.. The address I have for this company is ***************************************************************************. Phone number ************. I made a deposit, for $100.00, that day for a scheduled move on June 17, 2022. All was well and movers showed up to job site on June 17, 2022, as scheduled. Upon completion that day, a balance of $1114.04 was paid and in addition, each mover was given a $60.00 tip. I had contracted with them a level of valuation that was based on weight only for any damaged items. However, keep in mind that I also contracted with them for a TV box for a brand new TV, purchased in January 2022. After the move, we unfortunately realized that a desk, filing cabinet and this new TV were all damaged, without possibility of repair. I immediately filed a claim and a resolution was presented to me several days later. I was very disappointed with the resolution, as, the facts they based the claim on were untruthful and totally fabricated. The items were never weighed and estimations were presented to me. The file cabinet was estimated at 40lbs. and the desk at 105lbs. Items were replaced soon there after with the following weights, file cabinet, from Staples, 80lbs. and desk from Amazon, *****lbs. TV was replaced, from Wal-Mart, for $428.83. I am arguing with the company about the inaccurate weights and the clear fact that a TV box was not used for the safe, reliable transportation of my brand new TV. The move was on a Friday, Saturday morning my 93 year old dad realized many items were missing. After searching around, we discovered items were left in the truck and later placed in their warehouse and some items left in ************** on the loading dock. Several items were left in the lobby at Village Park. Running out of remaining characters here, I have many more issues. I really need to find resolution. Thanks!

It is always concerning to hear a client's move did not go according to the initial plan. Best Deal Movers is governed and must follow the terms of the contract in compliance with the GA ********** of ****** Safety, which is what has been done. Prior to booking, the customer is given 3 options to choose from to protect the items during the move in case of any loss or damage. The customer chose Option ********** Value Protection -This option provides reimbursement for loss and damage at a rate of $0.60 per pound per article based solely upon the weight of the lost or damaged article(s). The customer had the option to choose full replacement value, but she chose the $0.60 per pound valuation. When the customer contacted the office regarding the damage, a claim form with an instruction sheet, which is attached to this response, was emailed to the customer. She responded with two incomplete forms, which are attached to this response, providing no photos of the damaged items or their weights. Because she listed question marks for the weights of the items, Best Deal Movers used the **** American Moving and ******************* Table of Weights to determine the weight of each item, which are national averages. Her compensation also includes being given credit for the television box even though it was used. Regarding the customers claim of missing items, everything has been delivered. Best Deal Movers fulfilled all terms of the contract in compliance with the state tariff. As with all our customers, we wish her father well at his new residence.

My response to Best Deal Movers. I am disappointed in a company that doesn't own up to responsibility for their wrong=doings. We each signed a contract and that contract should be up-held. I take responsibility for signing Option 1 for damages to file cabinet and desk and my dad takes responsibility for putting ? marks in the weight column and not sending along photos. At 93, he is unable to weigh stuff that heavy. We are satisfied with this issue. The issues we are addressing AGAIN are the contract for a ** box and the delivery of items still missing or not delivered at all. ***** a ** box was contracted for and never used. ***** ** was destroyed. ***** my daughter and I witnessed them wrap a blanket around ** and transport. That was at origin of move and destination of move. No box ever seen. ***** movers said upon arrival that box was not brought and they could safely move ** wrapped in a blanket. ***** ** box was reimbursed in Claim check, seemingly admitting to lack of use. ***** reimbursement check has never been received and company was notified of incorrect mailing address. ***** ******, emphatically stated that no items were left on truck or on loading dock. ***** next day she found 5 items, belonging to my dad, in her warehouse. ***** three items are still unaccounted for. ***** several items still remain in **************, luckily, for safe keeping until we can pick up. ***** items left in lobby overnight and discovered by my dad the next morning. Untruthfulness and irresponsibility ring out loudly. After six weeks of this unresolved issue, I once again ask for reimbursement for ** and a damage check to be issued to my father for the amount they stated. This check should also include ** box they elude to. Thank You!

Best Deal Movers fulfilled the contract as stated in our previous reply. Theres one contract that covers the entire move. The customer selected the $0.60 per lb. per item and that applies to each piece transported. It doesnt apply to some that you choose to apply it to (the desk and file cabinet) and not to another (the tv). Regarding the alleged missing items, they were not listed on the claim form, and we still have not been told what items are missing. We understand you are not pleased with our service but to show further good faith,we offer to adjust the valuation compensation to reflect the weight of the replacement items you already purchased, even though it clearly states in the Moving Guide for Household Goods Moves, which you received with your estimate, that Do not have damage repaired or replace the item before consulting with the mover, it may jeopardize your potential settlement. The new calculated weight is ***** lbs. at $0.60 per lb. for the payout and the cost of the tv box, that you say was not used, will be added in as well. We extend this offer to you and will mail the check to the correct address as soon as you contact us regarding returning our items that you have in your possession and told us about in your July 19th email.
