I am continuously being offered employment via phone and text. I never submitted a job application to this company and am not interested at all in working for them. I'm also confused as to how they got my information and would like for it to be removed immediately from their system. This entire job offer seems like a scam and I'm not interested.Business Response

Hi *****,
While we get potential consultant information through a number of job site sources and find many candidates who wish to work with our end clients that way, we understand that you are not interested in being contacted. You were removed from our database on December 3, 2024, and you will not be contacted again by Pyramid Consulting's recruiters.
Thank you!

Went onto Monster today 11/12/24 to quick apply for some jobs and struggling with the horrendous abuse of apps, data and ************ abuses and biased and use algorithims/AI in the whole process being forced on us all. (******** is particularly bad). As soon as I quick applied for a role. I got a text message and email from "Pyramid Consulting". I did not respond to either as they appeared fishy or like scams The bottom of the email read: Pyramid Consulting, a global leader in workforce and technology solutions, empowers individuals and organizations to transform and thrive in the most challenging and competitive markets. Pyramid Consultings award-winning family of brands Pyramid Talent, *******, and GenSpark......"NOTE: Email attached (.pdf version)Text was from ************ and said :Hi .. this is **** a virtual recruiter from Pyramid Consulting. I've emailed the job details as per your application for Project Manager role to __. I'll be calling you to gather more details about your profile. The call will take around 5-7 mins. To opt out, text STOP" I did not respond but did get a call from that number that sounded like a RECORDING! (I have NLP background and recognized that). I asked if I was being recorded and NO RESPONSE...the lady voice just continued and at NO time did she say I was being recorded! (Even though I know from experience I was). Illinois law prevents this without 1st being notified of being recorded (but know they are ram rodding as much in as they can before they are mandated!) This should be illegal and not the first time this happened for "training" AI, HCM, **** and hiring/recruiting systems and data exploit. I ended up handing up but know they are exploiting me and other data and phishing and allowing data integrations they should NOT be. Data abuse is heavy in ******** and the use of BIPA and HIPPA and SPI and voice data & facial data is becoming a problem and scam (and hiring processes and systems)Business Response

Im sorry its taken so long to respond. People were looking into it to gather all the details. In this instance, our virtual recruiter, ****** attempted to contact the candidate, ******, regarding a PM position the candidate had actively applied for. As part of the standard process, *** reaches out to all applicants for our roles and starts by confirming the candidates name, followed by confirming their interest in the opportunity, and then asks for consent for recording. In this case, *** cut the call before she could ask for consent as the candidate didnt want to talk further. It was a very short call for just 43 seconds.
Below is the transcript of the call that *** had with ******. Since it was just a few seconds call the call was disconnected when the consultant mentioned she doesn't prefer AI.
As a corrective action we have shared our feedback with our AI vendor team to use verbiage: "Hi this is virtual recruiter *** calling on behalf of Pyramid Consulting. This call is being recorded " in the beginning of the call. This new process was implemented on Monday, December 2.

I was contacted by this consulting firm 3 times regarding a potential employment opportunity. I never signed up for this company to contact me or put me into their automated email system where they are holding personal information on me. I should never have been added to a mailing list when there was no previous contact or authorization by myself. I shouldnt have to request my information be removed when there was no prior contact, only them taking my personal information from a job derived website and doing whatever they wanted with it.Business Response

Dear ******************,
I am in receipt of your BBB complaint. Please accept my most sincere apology for the inconvenience caused to you by our recruitment professionals. Your resume was pulled from one of many job boards to which we subscribe and, because certain key words and critical skills were tagged, your profile matched with multiple positions which our recruiters are currently trying to fill on behalf of our clients. Please rest assured that I have personally removed your contact details from all of our databases, and you should not receive any further communication from Pyramid Consulting. Again, I am very sorry for the trouble we have caused you as that was certainly never our intent.
Thank you, and I hope you have a favorable week ahead.
Sincerely,
*************************

I am contacted by this business several times during many weeks, from various numbers and by email. I have advised them time and time again that I am not interested in any employment they have. In fact, I received a call today and I have asked more than once to be removed from their call list. To be placed on their do not call list. I have made this request many times. At this point it is harassment. I will be contacting my attorney.Business Response

Greetings- I personally emailed the complaint party this morning. Due to several recent and unavoidable IT glitches, candidate contact info in our system was not updated or deleted as timely as it should have been. I have invited the affected party to contact me directly should the issue persist. Moreover, I have personally spoken with our HR and IT Heads about this issue and all internal teams are aware and fully committed to resolving the situation as promptly as possible. *************************, *************** ******** ********************Initial Complaint

Thank you for bringing forward your concerns. Pyramid Consulting is an award winning Talent, Technology, and ************************* based in **********, **. We have been operating globally for over 28 years.
I have checked all of our outbound and resume databases - none of your information or emails are present. After reviewing the screenshots you sent and checking with our network security team - these did not originate from our servers and appear to be a phishing effort.
As an extra measure - you can send an email request that we block your emails from our servers - to ****************************** and I will personally follow-up.
We apologize for the frustration that this has caused you, and know that we are doing what we can on our side to ensure that nothing like this comes from our network.

***************,
Thank you for your reply. We have taken every action to prevent this type of email spam from going through our servers. It is a phishing attack and therefore out of our control. Our IT and Security Groups are monitoring these situations and have determined they do not originate from a Pyramid Consulting employee or from our network servers. These type of attacks are occurring with greater frequency from major corporations around the world. It is not isolated to our organization.
We will continue to monitor and put an additional outbound block on your email address in the hope that this may have some effect.
If you have any other concerns - please reach out to ******************************

They are harassing me about a device that supposedly was sent to me but I have never received anything. Since they were having too many issues with verifying my work history and making me have to go take another test after I passed I decided not to work with the company. They didn't have all their ducks in a row while handling my onnoarding paperwork. I got frustrated told them I did not want to work with them at their on-site position. They are saying I was sent equipment when I never should have since the role was onside and not remote. Please if you can have them to stop calling my phone.Business Response

*******,
We appreciate the concerns that you raised to us in regard to the computer issue. After doing some research we found that in fact our Human Resource Associate reached out to you on 9/1 inquiring about the laptop - to which you stated you had not received. There was follow-up on 9/12 after the client informed us that the equipment was sent out to you - and at that time you again informed us that you had not received anything. When we went back to the client they acknowledged that they were in error and the equipment was sent to their field office where the position would be housed. On 9/13 our HRA sent you an note apologizing for the error.
During the research we also found something that we appreciate you bringing to our attention - in that one of our recruiters continued to call and leave messages in a repetitive manner. This should never have happened and now that we are aware - appropriate coach and counsel actions will be taken with the recruiter and their manager. We will take this as a learning experience and make sure that it does not happen again.
I am forwarding your information to the Data Privacy Team so that your information is removed from our outbound email system.
Again, on behalf of the organization, I apologize for any inconvenience that this situation may have caused you, and thank you for bringing to our attention. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me direct - ******************************************.

This company has obtained my information illegally. They have been contacting me non-stop for fraudulent job offers. I am ******, a recruiter with ******************* **** a leading staffing organization. I came across your profile in one of the job boards and feel that your skills and professional experience would be a good fit for a position with one of our ***************. Please review the job description below. Thank you for your inquiry. To clarify, ******* Consulting has been a leader in the contingent staffing space for more than 27 years. We are headquartered in **********, ******* and have operations globally. We are also recognized by the BBB, and multiple industry organizations. We are proud of our 4.3/5.0 Glassdoor rating.
In reviewing the compliant we have found the following information:
The original resume was pulled from CareerBuilder on August 24, 2023. From there, our recruiters (many of whom operate from our offshore locations in ***** and ***************) reached out to discuss interest in an available position with one of our clients.
On August 25th at 11:18am an outbound call was placed to the candidate - that lasted roughly 15 seconds. On August 28th, at about 4:30pm the candidate expressed that she was not interested in continuing to receive emails or phone calls from ******************* Her stated reason was she did not sign up for this service. To clarify, it is a regular practice for recruiters to search resume databases for candidates that fit the needs of our F500 clients. As was with this case, the resume was pulled from CareerBuilder with whom we contract. Part of posting a resume with career and search sites is for this very reason, so that recruiters and companies can find candidates for roles.
All of our roles are legitimate and are submitted based on the requested need of our Fortune **** client base. Many of the roles that we recruit for are not posted onto job sites, and therefore are not generally available. This is a standard industry practice, to ensure that vetted candidates are recruited.
We include opt-out information on our corporate website. At any point in the process, the candidate could have sent us an email requesting that her information be removed from our system and that no further emails or communication occur.
To close this out - we will go in and remove any more outbound emails to the email address on file. If the candidate would like her information removed, she can send a formal request to ******************************Initial Complaint

This company has sent me over 20 emails about job postings. I have never directly applied to them or seen them advertised on any job board. But somehow they email me. They seem to offer a high hourly for a temp position. Sometimes an unrealistic offer, example $20 to do medical records, for entry level positions. Usually standard is $18. Anyway it's always an indian speaking representative asking for my resume. If I applied to them, they would already have the resume. They also ask a lot of personal questions, and make it seem as if i'm already hired. They also ask for the last 4 of my SSN. They say it's to create my account. Which I have never experienced with any other recruiter or firm in all my years. SSN is usually provided upon hiring. When I refuse to provide my SSN, that seems to be it. This is a major red flag. IF if were indeed a legit opportunity, I would atleast be set up for an interview. But none has ever occurred. During an interview I am never asked for my SSN. So I know its mandatory. It definitely seems like a scam to for identity thieves. I have attached an example of the email, with a thread of how emails I have received.Business Response

In reviewing the compliant we have found the following information:
The original resume was pulled from CareerBuilder on February 2, 2023. From there, our recruiters (many of whom operate from our offshore locations in ***** and ***************) reached out to discuss interest in an available position with one of our clients. A message was left at 1:57pm ET.
On July 5th an outbound call was placed to the candidate - that lasted roughly 2 minutes. At that point the candidate expressed that she was not interested in providing the client requested pre-screening information which in fact included the last 4 digits of her SSN. We make these requests as part of the screening process to identify candidates at our clients request, and to set up the account.
All of our roles are legitimate and are submitted based on our Fortune **** client bases. Many of the roles that we recruit for are not posted onto job sites, and therefore are not generally available. This is a standard industry practice, to ensure that vetted candidates are recruited.
On July 24th - the candidate expressed interest in the customer service role.
Multiple emails were in fact generated over a 6 month period by multiple members of our recruiting team, as the candidate's resume appeared to be an initial fit to open roles.
At any point in the process, the candidate could have sent us an email or requested that her information be removed from our system and that no further emails or communication occur. We have an opt-out option.
To close this out - we will go in and remove any more outbound emails to the email address on file. If the candidate would like her information removed, she can send a formal request to ********************************
