I purchased a ***** LS 460 from this dealer off the internet. The vehicle description stated it had numerous options in two packages including a blind spot warning system. The dealer also represented that it had 4 new tires. The vehicle arrived here in ******* with NONE of the advertised options tires with about ****** of wear and no owners manual. FYI this business advertised an A plus BBB rating. But your website states that this business is not accredited by the BBB. Am seeking a $ 2000 refund.Business Response

The buyer needs to be reminded that he bought a 15 year old used car. How is he expecting the user manual will be saved. The car was fully serviced at our shop including new rotors and brake pads. Also fluids were changed. Tires were in great condition. The car was in excellent condition. The customer needs to be realistic about the market conditions and appreciate that he got a really good deal. Specially he also negotiated the price and paid less on top of our low prices.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 2013 ******* ******* from GAI on Feb 28, 2024. I took the vehicle to a pre purchase inspection at ****************** Auto and was given a report that listed a potential leak from the vehicle cooling system (radiator, etc..) and an oil leak from the engine among other things. I took this report to GAI and they committed to address the items listed especially those two big ones and therefore I completed the purchase. Now six months after the purchase, the radiator gave out because of a leak and I had to pay around $1200 for that repair. The engine gaskets also need to be replaced to prevent the oil leak from the engine. Per mechanic this oil leak has existed for at least 6 months if not longer. The oil leak repair is estimated at over $2,000 to address. I already paid to replace the radiator and tried contacting the dealer to see if they could address the oil leak. After repeated daily calls for over a week I have yet to hear back from them and I dont think I ever will.. This car dealer has had many other customers complain about something similar. I think its a pattern but if the dealer comes clean and contacts me to address oil leak I am willing to retract the complaint.Business Response

After receiving your complaint we pulled up your file from the archives since it has been 6 months from the sale date. We went through the file and found a repair request signed by you which mentioned two items:
1) shift knob
2) Fin Antenna
We do show completing the two items before delivering the car to you. The delivery paperwork shows clearly that there was no more we owe items. It clearly states "100% Satisfied" and it is SIGNED by you.
It is clear that we did everything to satisfy you and there is no mention of any leaks anywhere on the paperwork.
It is sad that you are being taken advantage of by your mechanic. A radiator replacement on you car should not cost $1200. At our shop it is an expense less than $300. Radiator itself is only $70.
Also, the $2000 price you quoted for an oil leak fix is way too much.
Our recommendation would be to find a mechanic who can charge you fairly.
Used cars always need some minor repairs. Specially cheaper cars with high miles. your best bet is to find an honest mechanic to repair your vehicle.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: they are being dishonest. I have a text message with the pre purchase inspection report that was sent to the sales ******************** (attached) where the two issues the car broke down with 6 months later are listed. ****** then proceeded to respond to my text and tell me it had been fixed. They lied about fixing it and to add insult to injury they are now running from the responsibility and not even responding directly to me except when forced through BBB complaint. This is a crooked business clearly and I made the mistake of not demanding a full report on the fixes made prior to giving them a cent.
Sincerely,

We have been in business for over **************************** place to make sure that all customers are satisfied and get what they are promised. WE sell thousands of vehicles every year. It has been six months and all I can go by is the paperwork I have and your story. Somehow, your things are not adding up. When you had checked the car on the 21st why did you just list gear shifter and the antenna on the repair ticket?? Your inspection paperwork does not say radiator was leaking. Did you do any pressure test as recommended by the shop to determine where the leak was? Also. the MINOR oil Leak that they mentioned is costing you $2000 to fix. Seriously?? This is ridiculous to be blaming the dealer after six months on a used car with over 100K miles. Once again either your mechanic is making a big deal out of a minor oil leak or you are over blowing this issue. Either way it is a minor issue and it is best that you stop blaming us.Initial Complaint

I paid a down payment of $4000 for a car. I was having a hard time finding insurance. I called the office to ask if I was unable to obtain insurance and will I be able to get a refund. The dealer said yes and also gave suggestions on insurance companies I could call. I was unable to get insurance so I requested a refund. They gave me a hard time and deducted ****** from my $4000 deposit. The manager told me it was for a restocking fee. There is nowhere on the paper that states I would have to pay a fee for a refund. The dealer was very rude and unprofessional. They also accepted a loan for the balance owed on the car. I had to call the loan company and show proof that I got a refund for the car and no longer needed the loan. I had to call them 5 times to get a cancellation letter to send to the finance loan. I would like my $****** back.Business Response

Dear customer,
We have reviewed your claim and found that there was financing with ****************** Services in place. Your loan application was processed and all steps completed. You signed all the paperwork. ******** transferred the money in our account. Then you found out that your insurance rate was too high. We tried to give you several options to purchased another car or get this financed with us. But you were determined to low ball the car that you were buying through the back. We don't have high profit margins and cannot afford to loose over $2000 on the car. Eventually, we had to roll the deal back. The back charged us money because at the end of the day they worked on the deal and got you financed. This was a done deal and you backed out of it.

I purchased a vehicle that I paid for with a cashiers check then went to title it and was charged tax at the *** when I we thought we had to pay tax when it was purchased. The car had no working **** and wheel locks on the lug nuts we were not made aware of and I had a flat tire that cost me and my family towing charges , taxi charges and charges to have the wheel locks removed. We want this money reimbursed.Business Response

Thank you for contacting the support team at Georgia Import Auto. We pulled your paperwork and see that you purchased this vehicle over 6 months ago. You were give a discount on top of our lowest prices. Also, there was NO sales tax charged as you were out of state. Please check your bill of sale to confirm. As a rule we place the wheel lock keys in glove box or center console. Any ***** dealer would have gladly removed the wheel locks for free as they have the master set. The **** should have been there and not sure how it went missing. Did you service the vehicle anywhere in the past six months, or have someone borrow it?. All vehicles are sold AS IS WHERE IS condition. Customers are give opportunity to take vehicles for inspection prior to purchasing. Unfortunately, we cannot pay for your expense in getting the flat tire fixed or taxi cab fare. Thank You.Initial Complaint

I purchased this truck for my son-in-law. They were supposed to fix the windshield wipers. They go on when you start the truck and they don't go down all they way and there is an electric smell throughout the truck which is probably from the wipers. We called numerous times, we emailed numerous times and Feroze, the Financial Manager said that he would have the service department call to schedule the appointment. No one ever called. We would like a refund for the part and what the service to install would cost so we can take care of it on our own. The "dealership" tag they put on the truck is expiring in 4 days. I have requested that ****** email me a copy of the signed Bill of Sale, it has been misplaced, so we can go to the *** to get a plate and tag. All emails and calls have been ignored. Since the truck was purchased, we have been ignored.Business Response

As discussed with the customer, They DO NOT have to go to the tag office. We had already processed their tag/title and paperwork at the **** Our records indicate that the tag and plate were issued in September and title printed on 10/10/2023. As far as the wiper adjustment we spoke with the customer and tried to schedule an appointment but they were not willing to bring the truck in. Feel free to contact us at ************ if you have any further questions. THANKSInitial Complaint

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership on April 8, 2023. This was a cash buy purchase. I did not receive the title that day and was told they would send the title to my DMV to have it registered. I called the place of business on May 5, 2023, and asked where the title to my vehicle was. The man stated he would overnight to my home address that following Monday. (05/08/23). My husband called again on May 10, 2023, asking where the title was to the vehicle and why it hadn't been overnighted as I was told would happen on May 5th. The man stated he would get it overnight. I still do not have the title to this vehicle. I contacted my local Tag and Title and they confirmed they also did not have the title. I need assistance getting the title to this vehicle. I also took the vehicle for service at my local Midas on 04/10/23. I was told the calibrator had been sprayed painted black to make it look new. When the service tech scraped off the paint the calibrator was rusted.Business Response

Dear customer,
As part of the sale we gave you a temporary tag valid for 45 days. Your tag is still valid. You have called the office several times and have been told that the tile is being mailed out. It has been Fedexed and should be in your hand tomorrow. Not sure what a calibrator is? If you mean a brake caliper it is sprayed as part of our brake change process to protect from corrosion. Your tech should not have scraped it. The vehicle should have new brakes and rotors and that is what matters. Taxes are your responsibility and since you were not charged there is no way to reimburse you for it.
THANKS
