    Our pool was done by Inground Pool Designs, and their installation from start to finish was quick and easy. The concrete crew, Sizemore Concrete, they use is where I have a problem. I opted for stamped concrete coping around the pool, in addition to a wide concrete surfaces area around the pool. Having poured concrete before myself, I understand the need for expansion joints to control cracking and that concrete will keep curing and that it will crack eventually. However, it should not be cracking in a matter of months. My coping is cracked, the patio areas are cracking. I have contacted Sizemore multiple times to come out and fix it and identify the issues with no resolution. They keep telling me next week someone will come look at it, but never happens. After waiting months for the ground to settle before pouring concrete decking it has still cracked. I would not recommend using Sizemore if you have the option to pick a different contractor.

    Good afternoon! 
    I am so sorry about the delayed response. The notification went to the spam email folder, so I was not aware. Mr. ****** did reach out initially and voice concern over the size of an expansion joint in his concrete coping.  At that point, ****** Sizemore did come out and assess the concern in the coping. After assessing he wanted a second opinion & unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts beyond our control, that has not happened yet. Mr. Sizemore does plan on coming back out to reassess the coping. Mr. ****** later on sent photos of small cracks in the coping & those are hairline and completely normal for concrete. Our company provides a sturdy gravel base, fiber in the concrete mix, rebar placed, and expansion joints cut. All of this is done to help strengthen the concrete & try to prevent cracking, but that is not a 100% guarantee. If Mr. ****** would like, we can arrange a time for ****** to come back out and meet him. Thank you.
