    BBB unable to locate business
    Evident is supposed to provide background checks for ****** local service ads, however, they never actually do their job. Years ago I submitted my forms and It still says pending. It's been nearly two years. I reach out over and over and either don't get a reply or they blow me off saying there is nothing they can do. After all this time and no responses from the company they appear to be scammers.

    I was setting up my business profile on ****** and I was prompted to do a background check for myself and employees via Evident ID, Inc. out of *************************************************************************** phone **************. They asked for my social security number as well. Me being naive, I submitted my SOS, and then several of my ****** Spreadsheets went missing the same day. No one had access to my computer or passwords. ****** was able to find and save my spreadsheets and docs. However, Evident can not be reached via phone to dispute this. They seem like a fraudulent company and should be investigated.
