I had a terrible experience. I called a number on the *** reports website which appeared to be a site with reviews of internet service providers. The number appeared to be for *******, the provider that I wanted in my new home; I have just moved to a new city. The representative told me I couldn't get ******* and then wanted my credit card info to sign up for Xfinity, which I did not want because I've heard such bad things about their service (all are true). It's cable service. I am in a rental home, and did not see a cable coming in which I told the representative. She told me that with new technology, I did not need a physical cable coming into my home. I could just plug the modem into any electrical outlet and I would have service. She added that I could move the modem to different electrical outlets in my house and it would work, and that's why it is so popular. I didn't believe that this could be true (and it's not) so I requested a supervisor. The supervisor said the same thing. They fabricated some imaginary way that cable internet worked without a cable, convinced me of it, took my credit card information. They also lied and said that Xfinity has 24/7 technical support which might be an even more ridiculous lie than cable internet working without a cable. Now I'm in a terrible mess, and Xfinity which is probably the worse company ever, is not willing to help me fix this without charging me a lot of additional money. I'm so disgusted. Great welcome to my new home. The **** at Allconnect don't actually understand how different types of internet work. They never even asked how I would be using the internet to see what would suit me best. THEY JUST WANTED MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER!!! The supervisor was equally bad, but I guess I believed the fairy tale that they created and after an hour on the phone asking questions about this, I gave them my credit card number. I'm sure they're paid by how many subscriptions they sell and they are big liars.Allconnect, Inc.

We appreciate the opportunity to address these concerns and apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. At Allconnect, we are a company that assists customers in setting up various services such as internet, television/streaming, and home phone services. We have reviewed the interaction that took place on the call. The customer called in looking to set up ******* internet services, and after the sales professional conducted a serviceability check, our system showed that ******* services were not available at the location. The sales professional then pivots to offer Xfinity internet services as they are available for the new home and attempts to set up the customer by using EZ-Enroll, which allows the customer to provide a pre-payment upfront without having to do a credit check. Unfortunately, the sales professional and supervisor failed to inform the customer that they could consent to doing a credit check in lieu of providing a credit card number for the EZ-Enroll. The sales professional does provide inaccurate information regarding how the internet equipment works. The customer asks additional questions about the services and plan, and it is at this point the supervisor comes on to the phone to speak with the customer. While they do address some of the customers concerns, they also reiterate the sales professionals comments about how the internet equipment works. We apologize for this poor experience and the inconvenience it has caused. We apologize for this poor experience and the inconvenience it has caused. I was transferred to Allconnect after setting up new utilities. They offered to send me some coupons and deals for the area I'm moving to, and I agreed to it thinking I would get one e-mail with some collection of deals. Instead, I began to be bombarded with individual e-mails from every company and having to unsubscribe from each e-mail list as they came in. I called back to Allconnect to complain and ask that they remove my information from whatever partners they shared it with, and they refused. I was told my information wasn't saved with them and the only thing I can do is just continue to unsubscribe from each e-mail list as I receive the e-mails. If I had known "sending some coupons" meant distributing my contact information to countless partner companies I would have hung up on the spot and never let them receive a shred of my information. On top of all that, they couldn't even set up the internet service and ended up transferring me directly to Spectrum anyway, so I got zero actual assistance in addition to my personal information being shared or sold indiscriminately. At Allconnect, we are a company that assists customers in setting up various services such as internet, television/streaming, and home phone services. We have reviewed the interaction that took place on the call. After confirming the customers information, the sales professional informed the customer about the free coupons available and advised them they could unsubscribe from the emails anytime. The customer acknowledges that the sales professional is providing the free coupons, and the sales professional then informs the customer that ******** is the major provider for the location. The customer informed the sales professional of the speed of internet that they wanted, and the sales professional then went through the process to setup the customers internet services. While working in the order the sales professional received an error message in the system which then directed them to transfer the customer to Spectrum to finish the order. The sales professional did inform the customer that they would need to be transferred, and the customer acknowledged that they were being transferred. We did submit a request for the customers information to be removed for the email list for the coupons.Review fromChris A

Got transfered to this service after getting an electricity plan. you can imagine how confused i was about how calling for electricity ended up with a transfer to internet *********** where do i begin.....it began with questions like " who is your internet provider" "what is your email" and so on. then the lying began. they told me i have to send my modem back to my internet provider so they can send a new one to my new address. my internet provider does not require this. i said various times i was not interested in this service (the brokering so they can get their commission). but they just continued to brush off my decline of their services asking for more and more personal information. TL:** They want to sell you new service for their commission. you will lose all previous benefits from your provider for being a long term customer because they will cancel your account and get you a brand new one. they will not take no for an answer, if you do not want their services hang up, there is no other way to get them to understand you are not interested. for a better deal just call your current internet provider and tell them about your move. if you don't have a current provider call your local providers directly don't get a 3rd party. this company tries to trick you to cancel your current plans so they can get a piece of your pie. and they will lie to convince you. can't rate 0 stars so here is the 1 star.. all these 5 stars don't know they were taken advantage of. now my main concern.... who is this company going to sell my personal data to... i can already see all the spam emails incoming....Allconnect, Inc.

We would like to apologize for this experience as the sales professional did not provide accurate information, was unnecessarily pushy, and this is not how they are trained to interact with customers. We strive for an excellent customer experience to make moving easier. While **** does allow us to set up new services for movers, the sales professional was incorrect in stating that the customer must set up new service.
