1 starDo NOT use this provider. You have been warned. Their patient care is border line disrespectful. I feel sorry for the amazing doctors associated with this business. You will be charged by multiple companies with no explanation. No one is physically there to speak with you about billing. You will have to deal with multiple companies who do not communicate with one another. You will receive attitude from the staff who will let you know they are not to be bothered with. Check the yelp reviews as a 3+ year patient I can vouche they are not lying. This facility should be ashamed of themselves.Review fromKelly L

1 starThis practice is trying to charge me $210 after insurance didn't pay the $3520 bill for Mac anesthesia for a screening colonoscopy that took less than 30 mins. This is such a scam! Even at top $ rates - anesthetist (likely Locum CRNA anesthetist) service for an hour is not even $400/hour plus a vial of ******** - maybe $10 - give me a break! My son had his tonsils out under GA and the total including surgeons fee, facility fee, anesthesia fee was less than this! You should be ashamedReview fromEvans M.

1 starLast month, I visited the office for a procedure and encountered a significant issue with how my payment and the total cost of the procedure were communicated. I spoke with the front desk staff and mentioned that no one had contacted me beforehand to inform me of the amount I would need to pay. The staff member reviewed some options, and I stepped aside to call my insurance company. When I returned, I reiterated that no one had informed me in advance about the payment, leaving me unprepared. Shockingly, the front desk associate then disclosed my private medical information out loud, in front of several patients and others who were waiting in the office. She mentioned that I had **** bleeding and other sensitive details that should never have been discussed publicly. This is a serious violation of ***** regulations. When I asked to speak with the manager, we recorded the conversation. Although the manager initially claimed she didnt hear the front desk associate make those statements, our video evidence clearly shows the associate admitting to it, and the manager dismissing our concerns.Eventually, another staff member began assisting us in preparing for the procedure. However, the manager later returned and stated that I would not be able to undergo the procedure because I had allegedly used profanityan accusation that was completely false, as confirmed by several witnesses in the office.I explained that this procedure was crucial for my health and expressed my desire to proceed, but they escalated the situation by calling the police. When the police arrived, they forced us out of the building, despite other patients coming forward to confirm that we had done nothing wrong. The entire experience was incredibly chaotic and emotionally draining. I strongly believe that this treatment was unacceptable and was influenced by racial bias. I request that appropriate action be taken to address this situation and hold those responsible accountable.Review fromSteve B

1 starI would avoid any practice associated with United Digestive. Billing is horrendous and they will do anything to void dealing with a credit balance on your account. How a company can sit on a patients money after confirming they have a credit balance is just dumbfounding. UD, even having confirmed they owe me money has been sitting on it for over 5 months with no resolution. Told it was escalated to management on 5/31 and I would get a call back the following Monday. Nothing as that was the 4th call to them trying to resolve this issue. As for AGA which I used for the medical procedure, I never even received a statement from them noting how they applied all the money they requested up front when my insurance covered the doctor and practice expenses 100%. This also happened to me on the first go-around with AGA/UD. Guess I should have learned my ****** then. There is absolutely no excuse for a system that does not detect all bills paid and a credit balance and simply process a refund to the patient. Seems criminal and fraudulent to me.Review fromMichael C.

5 starsJune 17, 2024. I had the pleasure of having "Sardai" assist me with scheduling my first appointment with Atlanta Gastro Associates. She was very patient, knowledgeable and provided me with information that was important but I was not aware of. Thank you ****** for providing me with excellent customer service. This is rarely found at any business other than the drive thru where they take and deliver your orders while you are in line waiting in your car. Thanks ******!Review fromSe R

1 starWaited 2:45 hours for my appointment. At that time I was moved to the back an hour and half after my procedure was supposed to start. And was also threatened to leave by a staff member when I asked what was going on. Stay VERY far from Atlanta Gastroenterology AssociatesReview fromDavid S

1 starAbsolutely the most disorganized, disingenuous medical office I have ever attempted to schedule appointment and terribly physician assistant who we have a previous diagnosis with pathology report, and she says, I dont think thats what you have. She then prescribes something for IBS which my wife (the patient) throws up. I called the next morning saying, all we needed was a refill of medicine she has been taking for colitis. They didnt give her a 30 day supply because we were just trying to get her through the next week as we had to fly out of the state to a convention. And even though they had scheduled the colonoscopy for back in September, we called and canceled it we did not have confidence in the person we saw and then we thought we would select one of the highest rated medical doctors they have to go visit. This took a month to see him and then he schedules a colonoscopy and endoscopy for too months that appointment. I told the person in the office making a schedule I have a knee surgery schedule for the Tuesday. Can you make it on a Wednesday the next day they said yes. Meanwhile, their patient portal failed to work on multiplications of trying to login and get information. it would continue to resend verification codes and then give you the same screen over and over so then I tried to call. I call and attempt to get them to tell me do we need to go by the pharmacy and they said everything is in the packet we sent home with you. I pulled out the packet I said my wifes name and her date of birth and they were in a big hurry to get off the phone. we wanted to be certain we did things correctly according to their prep. I told them I had canceled my knee surgery the day before they understood no problem. They told me the day before we will see you tomorrow which was Wednesday, December 6. My job is just as important as theirs and I took off for this. When we arrive, they said your appointment is tomorrow.Review fromGwyn T

1 starUnable to schedule a procedure for over 2 weeks of attempting to call and get through to schedule. Can never get a person and get cut off after long wait times, no call backs when said it would happen in the hour. Have received a call back twice from a different attempt but was unable to answer due to seeing patients myself. No way to return a direct call and have to go through all the transfers etc each time. Spent hours on my day off trying to get through to schedule. Still havent been able to connect to a scheduler. They are loosing patients for this practice I am sure but I guess the MDs dont care.Review fromTonya I

1 starI would give 0 stars if that was an option.Booked a colonoscopy for my mom . They told me Towne Lake location. The Friday before her appt on the following Tuesday I called because no one had called to give us info on how she should prep. An employee then tells me she should not have been booked at the ***************** for her procedure but she could be seen at *************************** the following day at 930. No problem. Tuesday comes -my mom starts prep. I realize I am not sure exactly sure how far in advance we have to be at the hospital. Meanwhile hospital calls me to precert and get $$$. I ask hospital rep what time we need to arrive and she tells me she doesn't work in that **** to call Dr ******* I check portal for info and they haven't even updated her new DOS or place. I refer back to the email and it has the Dr's ******* adjacent to the hospital as her place of service so now we are really confused. I call Dr's ****** to clarify and am put on hold for forever then someone tells me that ********* hospital is correct. I asked the dr rep when we should arrive and she replies she doesn't know that we need to call the outpatient **** at hospital to get that info. I call the hospital and the lady tells me they don't do colonoscopy/endoscopy there but says maybe 3rd floor can help. Transfers me I am on hold for forever but then get disconnected. By this time I decide to cancel before my mom continues with the prep. Call to CX - get Office managers name-*****. I speak to her the next day and tell her I manage an anesthesia ****** and would want to know if things were in that much disarray so it could be fixed. I felt like she could have cared less. Never apologized for anything and asked if we wanted to reschedule. I laughed. Spent hours dealing with this and I had taken the day off the next day ... such a total waste of my time trying to do everyone's job at that Dr ******. Do not recommend
