      Despite having called and "cancelled" this "service" no less than three (3) times in the last two years, I continuously receive a junk mail, plastic-wrapped "newspaper" thrown in my landscaping or storm drain every Wednesday night / Thursday morning. I have never subscribed to the this. I have been assured that it will stop and it does not. This is a nuisance. It is unwelcomed, environmentally unfriendly, and a security threat to those of us that leave town for multiple weeks. Dont respond with an automated message falsely promising to investigate the matter, just fix the problem.

      I have faithfully subscribed to the AJC for years and I enjoy being able to read a printed copy for my Sunday delivery except thats not what has been happening for months now. The delivery on Sunday is horrible, rarely do I get mine and then I call an get the automated answering machine and it states that my delivery isnt possible for Sunday and that it will be delivered on Monday and most of the time that doesnt happen either. I am pretty fed up and have been trying not to cancel my subscription but I am sick of this and paying for something that I dont receive.

I have been told numerous times by the AJC they will address the problem. They replied to my BBB complaint stating the same. And yet I received ANOTHER newspaper this evening. Please make it stop.

      I have made several attempts to cancel delivery of "The Evening Edge" to my home over the years, but this year I have made a special effort because the risk of home robbery when the papers pile up has dramatically increased. I have called the customer care delivery department number at the AJC several times. I have been put on a Do Not Solicit List. I have spoken to two levels of "escalation teams." Every time, I have been assured the deliveries will stop, but they never do. Therefore I am asking the BBB to try to resolve this. I would like the home delivery stopped permanently, and I would also suggest that the AJC should be required to demonstrate to you that they have a working and efficient procedure in place to stop, as well as to start, home deliveries. Both functions are essential for operating in the business they are in. I think the delivery of supplements like the Evening Edge should be "opt-in" for three reasons. One, it's a nuisance and a very outmoded way of reaching out to customers. Two, it's a litter problem, one of the biggest in the Atlanta area. And three, it creates a serious home security risk in areas where break-ins occur. When a customer like me has taken the step of being put on a "Do Not Solicit" list and the newspaper company still chooses to ignore this request, if a home break-in then occurs, the company should be open to a liability claim. ************** companies should not have to carry all the burden if homeowners are otherwise conscientious about protecting their property. When a newspaper company dumps unsolicited and unwanted litter in one's driveway to announce to every burglar driving by, "Nobody's Home!," they have to assume some responsibility.

      For most, if not all of the 21 years that I have lived in my current home, The AJC has thrown TWO copies of The Evening Edge edition of The AJC at my residence, TWICE per week. I live on a corner. The paper is thrown at the southwest end of my lot and at my driveway. I do not want this paper at all! Several times, I have responded to the blurb on the front page that states, "To stop receiving delivery, please contact our customer care department at ************. No change occurred. I have spoken with the person as they threw the paper. They retreived it as we spoke; the paper has been thrown twice per week since. I learned the only time it is not thrown is after I've allowed 5 or more issues to collect on one spot. I've collected enough copies for box stuffing, etc. What does it take for them to stop littering my property? If I wanted the paper I'd subscribe. I simply want the circulation department to HIGHLY flag my address for NONE-delivery!!! Thank you.

      I would much prefer to accept the AJC's response. However, I've gotten lip-service and no action repeatedly. I must see no more papers/litter in my yards for a length of time before I feel confident enough to feel the matter is resolved.

      I filed a delivery complaint against the AJC and received a response recently, stating that effort would be made to permanently stop delivery.

       

      My response to their response was that I would feel comfortable with their reply once I no longer find the paper in my yard. Unfortunately, the latest paper was delivered on Thursday, June 15, 2022.

       

      I tried to telephone *********************, ******** Care agent, at the telephone number listed on the response. However, there is no option for contacting him/her at this number.

       

      I am unable to add addition information through my BBB complaint. How can contact be made to ****************** to inform him that no change has occurred as the paper was delivered again on June 15th?

      I am rejecting this response because I have repeatedly received promises that the delivery will be stopped. The latest paper was delivered on June 16, 2022, after I filed the BBB complaint and the AJC's response was that it would be stopped - ASAP. I first received that promise approximately 5 years ago. The saga continues...........

      My 91 year old mother has not received a paper since march 31 2022. She calls daily to report it and is promised that a paper will be delivered with two hours but the paper never comes. The subscription has been paid in full but no paper is being delivered. She has no internet so she cannot read it online. I have called for her to get this resolved but it has done no good. What can you do to get the ajc to deliver the paid for paper that they have promised?
