I dropped off my dog at ********** last week. When I picked him up, he had a roughly 6x6 inch infected wound on one hind leg, a 2x2 infected wound on his left hind leg, a red rash across his entire groin area connecting the two open wounds, and his right leg was 4x larger than his left leg because it was so infected. His wounds and leg were so infected and swollen that he was unable to walk on his back right leg and anytime he brushed against something or laid down, he left a trail of pus and blood. I immediately took my dog to my vet and the vet was shocked at the condition of the wound and agreed that only gross negligence could have allowed the wound to get this bad. We have since been back to the vet three separate times because the wound continues to fester, chunks of skin are falling off, the inflammation in his leg won't go down, and the infection on his groin has become so aggressive that he is losing control of his bladder for the first time in his life, causing him to urinate in his bed, which is further infecting the rash and wounds. He is on pain medication, anti-inflammation medicine, antibiotics, and multiple topical ointments. We have already spent $1,500 on medical care, we have more follow up visits planned which will cost more money and time, and my family have endured significant physical pain and distress. *** refused to help us with any financial support for his medical needs. Completely unacceptable.
