I usually do small repair jobs for my daughter but she had a leaky shower head she could not stop due to bad Tempress II cartridge in control valve. I could not help immediately so she called Peach. The technician was very nice and polite. He secured the water to the entire house at the meter and started to search for a repair cartridge. After almost 2 hours of searching online he said this was a rare cartridge and he could not find one. He said in the mean time in order to stop the leak and restore water service to the rest of the house he would have to cut and cap the water service to the shower valve. Gave 2 options, remove tile around shower valve or cut hole in den wall (raised wood paneling!) to cut/cap service lines. Daughter wisely said stop as she wanted second opinion. Technician charged her $450 which he said was time spent looking for part. She got Dad (me) to take a look for second opinion. I discovered supply cutoffs easily accessible on this valve and secured water in 2 seconds. No shower demo or hole in den wall required ! I also looked at the cartridge and within 5 minutes found the exact one on amazon and several other plumbing supply houses. Had one "overnighted" and within 20 minutes repair was finished and no more leak. By the way the technician quoted a additional $600 if he was to find/install cartridge ! In plumbing (as in medicine) sometimes you need a second opinion. Another piece of advice for the Peach technician, even if he did not know how to cut the service at the valve, he could have put an inexpensive cut off valve in place of the shower head to stop the leak while waiting on the replacement part. Considering ripping open walls to cap off service lines was just malpractice. Need to retake "Plumbing 101"

****************, the owner of Peach Plumbing and Drain, should have admitted his plumbing company's limitations, thus over-promising and under-delivering to our HOA community. The association paid Peach Plumbing and Drain, LLC $11,750 to repair a water leak, and $5600 includes two PRVs his plumber **** recommended to reduce the water pressure branching off the main 8-inch ductile water line.Since the Peach Plumbing and Drain's plumber failed to install the parts correctly, the PRVs exploded off their anchors in less than twenty-four hours. **************** refused to honor our engagement, which warranted bad craftsmanship and failed parts. Our association incurred an additional $13,500 in collateral damage due to the reckless operation of the Bobcat we rented, which included striking an electrical junction box servicing the street lights, excessive destruction to our parking lot, and legal representation fees.Even though there was no signed, expressed, or implied agreement for additional exploratory leak detection, **************** is counter-suing our HOA association for $1650, claiming we did not pay him for continuous leak detection after they had been trying to solve the issue for several days.According to our gate entry log, ************************** assertion has no merit since we did not have a water leak on Friday, August 26, 2022, and **************** cannot prove his plumber was on our property.Since we paid Peach Plumbing and Drain, LLC for the back-filling service, when his plumber **** returned the following Monday to complete the job, he was on site for almost two hours before reporting a new leak. Since there was no remorse in the plumber's voice, we found a mechanical plumbing company that installed two compression couplings within hours. Another $5275 went to ************, which finished the job we paid Peach Plumbing and Drain, LLC to accomplish.Beware of a plumbing business that does not publish a brick and mortar location which could help the owners avoid accountability.
