I applied for an apartment on July 22, 2022. On July 23, 2022 I received an email from *************************** requesting required documents one being my housing choice vouchers which all documents were submitted the same day. I called the leasing office and spoke with ****** 8/5/22 and was told my application was approved and the *** would be submitted to housing on Friday. Spoke to her again on 8/8/22 and was told that (she) haven't completed my application I then asked for (her) number and was given a number for *******. I called ******* and explained to her that my voucher expires on 8/11/22 she told me she would have it completed and submitted to housing by the 11th. On the 11th the required documents was not submitted. ****** called and leave me a voicemail about paying the$250 deposit. 8/12/22 I went to the leasing office and paid the required deposit. 8/16/22 I called ******* back and was told she submitted the required documents 8/18/22 I called housing and was informed that she did not submit required documents. 8/23/22 I spoke with ******* to find out what was the problem she then told me they didn't have any vacancies. I then asked for her supervisor and was given a number for *****************. Spoke to Loni 8/23/22 told her the problem and was told she'd look into it and call me back in a couple of hours. She didn't call back so I called her 8/24/22 and was told that they have a unit they are doing the repairs to and the punch out would be completed by Friday and the *** would be submitted Monday. Today is Tuesday and no *** has been submitted I called Loni 8/30/22 (today) at first she didn't remember speaking to me my name wasn't in her notes put me on hold then came back and told me that I needed to call *******. I person who my complaint was about for not doing her job. At this point my family and I will be homeless as of 9/1/22 because of unprofessionalism of the employees on Greenbriar Commons Apartments and I will no longer have a housing voucher.

It's very hard to get work orders completed. I currently have 6 pending maintenance requests going back to May. The real issue is that I placed a work order for a refrigerator outage on 6/11/22, which is considered an emergency but I didn't receive a new one until close to 4 weeks later despite my many calls, emails, and visits to the leasing office. Everything in my fridge and freezer was lost (about $300 worth of groceries) as we buy for four people. Not only was that money lost, my children and I lost countless amount of money having to buy food out nearly everyday, which was very expensive. We couldn't just purchase groceries because we had nowhere to store them. I reached out numerous times after to come to some type of resolution and once the manager stated she would see about a rental discount but never reached back out. Since that time I've reached out to the leasing office many times but none of emails or calls have been returned (they don't answer the phone) and none of my calls have been returned from the leasing office or the customer care center. I can provide copies of my call log all email communications. This issue set me back financially and has caused some issues with me fully paying all of my bills. I have never been missed or been late paying my bills, including rent, until now which affects my credit that I have worked so hard to build. I reached out to the courts and was told I would have to pay $60 to file a complaint and another $60 for Greenbriar Commons (managed by Vicinia Living), which is an issue because of all of the lost funds. I'm even short on my rent this month and at risk of them evicting me because of a problem they caused. Therefore, I have gotten deeper in debt because I had to borrow money to make up for my rent. This has caused me and my children a lot of emotional stress and anguish. They have put forth no effort to fix the problem

I moved into my apartment 9/2021,when I moved in the dishwasher had standing water on it and smelled bad, I was told by management I would get a new dishwasher. I have reported almost every month to maintenance that the dishwasher is broke ,they came and checked it a few times and finally the maintenance man said I needed a new dishwasher, he would report it to management, when I called management they keep saying they have to talk to the maintenance man. So as of 6/25/2022, I still don't have a working dishwasher. Also, the electricity on the 2nd floor keeps going off so I have no lights on the second floor now, this has happened twice since I moved into the apartment. I hear a loud pop and then the power goes off. The first time I was without power for a week . This time on , it's been off 3 days last week , they finally came and changed the fuse in the breaker box on 6/22. Then the next day 6/23 ,I heard a loud pop and all the power went off on the 2nd fl.again. On 6/24/2022,I started smelling something burning downstairs, so I called the fire dept. They said that the breaker box had a short in #4 fuse , the kitchen light in the ceiling has something wrong with it making a burning smell, but no fire in the walls or ceiling, but the light needs to be repaired and the fire extinguishers is outdated, needs to be replaced ASAP. The rent office lady told me the whole M building is having electrical problems and an electrician is coming today ,it is now after 7pm and no electrician has come to my apartment. This is a dangerous situation.
