I requested a resume and consulting services for interview prep and salary negotiation from the vendor and have not received a viable resume in a timely manner and never received any interview prep or salary negotiation services. ****, the person I met with wanted me to cash app the payment to him in full the day of meeting. It too 2 weeks to get a resume. I had a questionnaire I filled out that weekend and that was submitted Monday. Tuesday I was advised I needed to attach my resume which I had sent previously for the initial consultation. I received the resume the following Monday and it was very wordy and dense. I tried the resume on over 175 positions and did not get any interviews. I let **** know the resume was not working and my concerns with it. **** until this point had not contacted me to follow up, did not recognize or have my number, had not provided any salary negotiation assistance or interview assistance, and was not responsive and disengaged. In the mean time I had contacted several other careers coaches in the same area to compare the rates. I asked for a partial refund for the services not used that I could use to hire someone more responsive and interested in my success. **** refused and said he would redo the resume. I advised him the competition could do it in a 3 day time frame and I expected the same from him. I made the agreement with him but was always passed off to an unknown resume writer with unsubstantiated credentials. I advised the second writer of the time frame, deadlines, and resume issues. I did say I needed to approve and be sent a draft to make sure things were going to be addressed appropriately this time. I sent several emails with no reply and communication and was sent a lightly revised copy of the unacceptable resume after the deadline which did not correct anything substantial. I would like a full refund at this point. Please leave a message on my phone for documentation (emails, resume, ect.). ************Business Response

Dear Sir,
Your original resume was completed on time, on budget, according to your specifications. The second version that you requested was also completed in a timely manner. You call me at 8 pm Saturday night which is highly unprofessional and inappropriate, you unilaterally state unrealistic 24-hour turnaround on rewrites that I agreed to do in a timely manner, and chose NOT TO CHARGE YOU FOR, yet you continue to act in bad faith by dismissing claiming that now that you've gotten two resumes for the price of one, you concurrently place a complaint with the BBB while at the same time attempting Theft of Service. You should read your contract, sir. ** have gone above and beyond what you contracted us to do, you have gotten extra work that you did not pay for but which I paid my writer for, resulting now in 2 resumes from my TWO BEST WRITERS, you refused to take advantage of the free career consulting that you negotiated, and we wish you luck on your endeavors. If you need further editing on the second resume, we are more than happy to do that once you stop acting in bad faith, remove your BBB complaint, and discontinue your attempts at Theft of Service. Please do not email me regarding this matter again, as I will be responding to you while you continue to act in bad faith.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:Dear Sir,
The second resume was due Friday. You were contacted Wednesday. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday does not count as 24 hours. If you want to count the initial contact on Saturday then you would need to count Monday and Tuesday when you refused and failed to contact me back making it a full week. I also have several emails with the time frames clearly spelled out which were received but ignored. Hiding behind plausible deniabilty will not work in this case. I did advise of a 3 day turn around which other vendors were able to easily accommodate. Your writer did not acknowledge or reach out to me until 2 days later. It was due Sunday at the latest. Saturday a draft reminder was sent. Sunday and Monday there was no action or communication. Tuesday the resume presented addressed nothing of which was discussed... which you refuse articulate because you don't remember I suspect .... and is in the same form that does north apply to my field which you again refuse to articulate what field I am looking for.
The contact was agreed to verbally for unlimited rewrites until I find a position as well as coaching and salary negotiation, both if which services have not been received and based on this lack of good faith negotiation will not be useful. Trying the resume for over a month without any response is a good faith effort to try the resume that does not fit through ATS or highlight my marketable skills. I asked for a refund and you refused to refund the coaching services and the obviously ineffective resume document. I was skeptical about anything further based on your lack of follow up and it taking a week for the previous resume. You wanted to redo the resume instead of issuing a refund which I requested. The second resume wad to be done in 3 days which you also botched. By any accounting from Wednesday to the following Tuesday is more than 3 days.
I wish to be issued a full refund for the consultancy/coaching services that have not been used and coming from you have no credibility. I also would like a refund for the resume which based 9n the performance is ineffective. The second resume was delivered late and follows the same ineffective format as the first. If you ****** my job title it will show templates and effective resume formats that do not remotely resemble what was sent. The resume sent doesn't work in ATS or get sorted as being relevant for my job title so it will never be seen by the hiring manager. It is a dead ineffective document.
Had the draft been sent as directed then I could have corrected the repeated mistake. The lack of communication is on your end and consistent. Therefore I once again I have no faith in any solution and no longer wish to work with your company so please issue a full refund or pay for another consultant of my choosing to finish what you have been unable to do. I prefer a full refund as none of the services have been successfully provided and I no longer wish to deal with your company. I already have been in contact with several competitors and have someone selected.
Thanks
Uday.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:I was not delivered a viable document and never received the consulting / coaching services. **** has not been available or followed up as requested. He refused to refund the balance for services not rendered and instead unilaterally insisted on another draft of the ineffectual resume. Based on the previous lack of turn around time and response I no longer wished to have any business association with him. I clearly communicated a deadline that other competitors in the the same field advised of 3 days as he insisted on moving forward with and unwanted 2nd draft of the resume. The initial agreement was for unlimited revisions and edits until a position was secured. The agreement was with **** and I kept getting passed to 3rd party writers whom I had no connection or experience with and had not vetted. The person reached out days later and did not deliver the document on time or communicate anything when asked to reach out for direction and checking in to make sure the time frame was understood. The document was supposed to be delivered by Friday as **** was notified the previous Saturday and did not follow up Monday or Tuesday as directed and I had to contact on Wednesday at which time the deadline was communicated with no objections raised or alternative time frame given. The writer assigned did not communicate until later as per the pattern of delays I was trying to avoid from previous interactions. The document was not delivered on time and after repeated attempts to reach out to communicate and confirm progress without a reply, I finally got a document the following Tuesday. The document does not follow the form for the positions I am applying for and does not go through ATS resume reviewing software so will never be seen y many hiring managers. The document has several factual errors and does not incorporate feedback I received because there was no communication or draft sent in a timely manner. The same lack of accountability an delay tactic was used for every part of the process since the beginning which prompted me to ask for a refund as it was acknowledged that after many submissions and over a month and a half of trying the original document was ineffectual and **** was avoiding communication and not being responsive. The way the business is run I does make him unqualified and undermines his credibility to advise on any proper way of conducting business or career advisement which is another reason I asked for a refund. All documents and services have not been delivered on time or at all. There is no accountability and follow up and I am not comfortable dealing with this business and wish to have a full refund of the balance that was paid of $2,850 for which I have not received the any viable documents or services. The payment was asked for in full upfront but all interactions have been full of delays and no services have been rendered. I have numerous emails and attempts to communicate with **** to back up the lack of action and timelines of delays that can be provided upon request.
Sincerely,

I originally reached out to Career Pro Resume services to discuss their available options in late April. I spoke with "****" who at first was very nice, but kept pressuring me to make an in-person appointment even though I said several times I wasn't ready to schedule anything. I set a "tentative" appointment just to get off of the phone, and then later canceled my appointment with no intent to reschedule. **** would then not leave me alone about rescheduling - even though I showed no interest in doing so. After he realized I wouldn't answer his phone calls (he constantly called me while I was at work), he decided to block his phone number and call my cell phone DOZENS of times over the next several ************* I have phone receipts to show he called me from his cell phone, office phone, a blocked number AND a different number today listed under another individuals name. I know the blocked number was him because he made a mistake once and called from his unblocked number in the midst of the blocked calls. **** has continued to harass me even though they have no chance of winning my business. **** has turned out to be very unprofessional & I found this behavior to be unacceptable.Business Response

This individual set an appointment, cancelled it and requested a telephone meeting instead. He did not call during his reserved time, then screened and did return our texts or calls.
I had decided that he did not have a serious interest in getting his resume done, or of contacting ** to cancel his telephone appointment, therefore I am surpised at the complaint, which took
time to write, a lot longer than answering a call or a text to confirm or cancel an appointment.

I am rejecting this response because:**** intentionally hid his identity & continuously harassed me for several weeks. Business must be slow. He then lied when I confronted him about calling me dozens of times consecutively. If I receive another phone call from this individual I will again report.

On June 3, 2022 I sought out Resume writers. Coming Across Career Pro Resume Atlanta, I engaged in a conversation with ***********************. After an extensive conversation I sent the deposit of $750 for the service. I decided not to use the service and requested a refund of the deposit less than 24 hours. I have emailed, texted and called several times and no response.Business Response

On June 3, as our client states, she contacted CareerPro Resumes after researching and comparing our company with other competitor companies online. She was impressed enough with our public information, including our 30 years track record of successfully helping over ****** clients since I assumed ownership of the company in ****, to make us one of her first calls. I explained the new client process including an initial in person meeting and a rapid turnaround time. She stated that she didnt want to come in for an interview, and I agreed to work with her via email. She then sent me her electronic resume file, and we reviewed all of my companys products and pricing. She then told me that needed to call a few other resume companies, and I wished her good luck and told her that I hoped that we would hear back from her. Her response was No, Im going to go ahead and do it now. I dont want to waste time calling around to other companies. She then asked for the project parameters to be emailed to her, which I did. She then asked for me to fill out our Client Contract, which I did and texted to her. She received the contract, and agreed to move forward with the project, but only wanted to split payments, which I agreed to. She made an electronic payment of 50% of the Invoice Total, then stated that she wanted to change her contract from a brochure style resume to a cheaper loose sheet resume, which I agreed to. I had already sent her a client questionnaire to allow her to provide any additional information to the new resume . I then forwarded her resume to the member of my writing team, who began creating her new resume, with any additional information the client might or might not provide to be added to the final version . My stated online hours of operation are M-F 9-9, yet when I returned from religious services Saturday after there were no less than a dozen calls and texts from the client. I returned her calls that afternoon and informed her that her 50% good faith deposit was, as her contract states, was not cancellable once work began. There is currently a $750 balance on her account.

I am rejecting this response because: During the conversation with ******************, I requested several times I wanted to see the actual contract. ****************** also stated that "NO WORK" could be done until the questionnaire was returned from me to the organization. The contract sent was dark and ineligible. He quoted, $850 for the "Loose Sheet" resume and when speaking with him about changing the order he became agitated and did not deliver the good service. After NOT being able to read the contract in its entirety, ********************** extremely aggressive behavior, calling several times regarding the "DEPOSIT", becoming agitated when changing the actual order, and badgering mannerism regarding the service I did or did not need, I decided to cancel the transaction requesting a refund. The transaction was done by phone and email. The text sent at Saturday June 4, 2022 5:51 am requesting the cancelation, less than 24 hours asking for a refund a questionnaire then was sent and delivered to my email at 8:18 am. The questionnaire has not been sent back so according to our conversation, nothing could be done. My request is fair, I asked for $500.00 of the deposit to be returned. It is recognized time was spent and there should be some type of compensation to for the advice he provided. This came with insulting messages and he then states there is no cancelation according to his contract. At this time he texted a very clear contract. THE CONTRACT has not been signed. As for the Sabbath, ****************** never mentioned during our conversation he observes the Sabbath, his urgency for the deposit (according to him) was because he wanted to send the questionnaire and get started to meet the 4 day turn around. I would have known he observed the Sabbath, because at 8:18am Saturday June 4, 2022 he sent the questionnaire, and later in conversation he says he sent the resume to another writer?

We have responded to the complaint. Client has received her completed resume at the 50% discount she requested after ordering a more expensive brochure format. Unfortunately we cannot do the work for free, as that would amount to Theft of Service. We trust that no further responses are required, as we gave done everything the client ordered and paid for, and at this point we do not see the need to collect her $750 outstanding balance, as the client doesnt seem to respect legally binding agreements, either written or verbal.Customer Answer

****************** is not accurate. There is no active contract. During the forceful conversation, I stated to him, I did not want the $1800.00 package and I wanted the normal resume not the brochure. That price was quoted $800.00 he stated I can have what ever I want, the "contract" sent was not returned signed and no work was performed. Its unfortunate, I have been insulted by the insinuation of me not upholding my obligations of a contract that does NOT exist! I would like a FULL refund.Business Response

Client specifically asked for two versions of the contract, and once she received both, her payment evidenced her decision to hire us, which she did, and we performed the service as she ordered, in writing and verbally.
Thank you.
